The special rock as you describe it is like you found a special hidden gem and you felt the special energy the place gives you. These experiences are not so much that the place is super special but the exact point in time about the environment, your mind, your energy and experience is indescribable. Bulgaria have a lot of such hidden gems and this is why this place is really special.
Another great episode! Thank you for that. For the rest watching: Dear tourists, I would strongly recommend you to choose another location if you desire to see the city from above. Kamen del is a peak on Vitosha that provides a 180-degree view of Sofia and the entire valley in which the city resides. The hike itself is less inclined and can be easily done with dogs, children, and even elderly people. If you want, you can do both. You can climb first to Boyana waterfall, then go to the "Momina skala" hut, and from there, you can take the well-defined path all the way to "Rodina" hut. Behind the hut, you will find a small path leading you straight to Kamen del. The climb can be done in less than a day if you start early. ;)
you should try Kamen Del peak, no trees there, but you can see the entire city, as well as Rila mountain to the south. One of the best spots on Vitosha.
It's a really steep climb. What people usually do is take the cabin lift up to hut "Aleko" and then do the "Aleko" -> peak "Cherni Vruh" (Black Peak) - that takes about 1,5 to 2 hours and you get more time at the highest peak in Vitosha. Your hike was also good don't get me wrong, just proposing the alternative where you get to see the peak.
At our apartment. We weren’t sure how tricky this hike would be and thought it would be safer to leave her behind for this one. Looking back, she would have actually been fine on this hike.
I went on my first hiking ever during my entire life and the guide made me walk in the mountains for 15h str8, we walked 33km overall in the mountains :D

Thank you for bringing attention to Bulgaria, it's a very underrated country. It's the hidden gem of Europe.
I agree! I absolutely loved the month I spent in Bulgaria.
Kinda nice to stay "underrated" and unknown, don't you think so?🥰

That's such a wonderful way of putting it!
I watched this video in loving memory of my husband who loved Boyana waterfall. Thank you! 😊
Thanks for watching! I'm glad my video could bring you some joy :D
Thank you, such a beautiful video ❤❤❤
You're welcome! Glad you liked it :)
There is even more beautiful view on the top of the waterfall.
Ohh, I didn't know there was a way to get up there. Hopefully this comment helps someone else who's thinking of going.

Ohh, thanks for the tip! I'm no longer in Bulgaria, but I hope this comment helps someone else who's thinking of going to Vitosha.
You should have checked the highest peak Black peak or "Черни връх / Cherni vrah" as you can see the whole city from up there.

Thanks for the tip! Didn't know about that.
Cherni Vruh is the highest point in Vitosha. Not in Bulgaria.
@@svetoslavivanov2913 Ops, sorry about that! Fixed it
You wake up early in the morning 😅8am already filming!
Gotta beat the afternoon heat! Although it actually didn’t end up getting too hot that day 😂
Where’s Nala???

The waterfall isn't that pretty now as it is autumn. During spring / early summer it has much more water ;)

Oh wow! I don't think I've ever hiked quite that long before.
