If you're a bit like me and you prefer nature over cities then these 2 day trips from Sofia are for you. About 30 minutes from the city center you find yourself in nature.
On the first day I hiked all the way to the highest peak in Vitosha Nature Park. The peak is called Cherni Vrah or Black Peak but most people just call it Vitosha mountain, the summit is at 2290 meter above sea level.
On the second day I did a 5 km loop hike to the Boyana waterfalls. I didn't really know what to expect but was happily surprised of the beauty of these waterfalls so close to Sofia.
Enjoy watching!

Home of my great grandmother. She came to the US in the early 1900s. She spoke choppy English but you ALWAYS heard her speak of Sofie.
❤❤❤
The water on Vitosha mountain is extra-clean. I always drink it straight, no filtering - never had any issues. Maybe you've seen the turf area, on your way up to the Black Peak? It's a naturally filtered water, thousands times better than any city tap water.
Oh yes, it tasted amazing!
W❤️W! Awesome And Breathtaking Adventure! Cheers! 🥂❤️✨
Thanks, it was epic!

Golden bridges was beautiful I walked the winding roads back down. Very steep trek up though but well worth it!!

Hi, tnx for video
Im visiting Sofia, and first thing i searched is Vitosha, Ive read thet lifts dont work every day, so Im thinking going to black peak from Dragalevtsi.
Can I come to starting point via bus or metro, or near the starting point, also is trail marked well.
I think there's a bus stop so it should be alright
Hi Tim
I got to the place that wasnt open and then trekked to a place along the road a bit where a man told me 3 hrs to black peak I couldn't find my way. I shall try again tomorrow
Good luck man!
@@timtense Thankyou brother!!!
question for you if you don't mind!do you like better Romanian or Bulgaria?
I think I prefer Romania actually 😅
I agree 💯
More beautiful and more picturesque and people are even even more friendly I think
Je zweet meer dan je ooit gedaan hebt bij ons...
Hahahaha, dat is zeker! 💯
Did you ever meet a bear in Bulgaria or Romania?
No one calla Cherni Vrah just Vitosha mountain. Whoever told you this lied to you or you misunderstood. Cherni Vrah is Cherni Vrah. There are other peaks there. Vitosha Mountain is a massif, so much bigger than Cherni Vrah
Thanks for watching!
