Great tutorial. A sweet accent to your table on the fall. Sending my thanks and ♥️ to you and Mr. Institches.
Thank you Carolyn! 😊
Christmas colors will be nice too!!
Definitely!!
Miss Jayda, your wording helps me in so many of your patterns! I would always end up a stitch short with my circles, until you stated "one more stitch in the false stitch to replace the chain 3"... Crocheting in the round makes SO much more sense because of how you worded it!
Hi! I'm so happy to hear that :) We try to be as helpful as possible! Thank you for watching :)
I used to watch you all the time to crochet years ago,
But then I got out of crocheting,
Recently I’ve been getting back into it and I remembered your channel
So glad I found it :3

Wonderful! Thank you for watching 😊
It really upsets me when people click the thumbs down on your vids.
Me too!
When you go to the main page of UA-cam, it offers suggestions for you to watch. Next to the title of the suggestions are 3 little dots. When you left click you get a drop down menu where you can click “not interested” *A lot of people don’t realize it’s there.* They click the video and then give a thumbs down. The thumbs down most likely can be the person just isn’t interested in crocheting.
Thank you so much for this pattern. I made a couple of these and enjoying the end product as much as I enjoyed the process of crocheting it. I like your videos as you give very clear instructions & are always so jovial.
Thank you for watching 😊

Hi, Jayda.
I wonder if you could please create a “pocket shawl” for us? They seem to be popular, and there are videos available, but I enjoy learning with you. Your teaching is very detailed and clear. Thank you, Jayda! 🌻🐝💚
Hi Carola, Thank you for the suggestion!
Oh this is so cute! going to make it as a b-day prezzie for an early November friend of mine Thanks
Wonderful! Thank you for watching :)
This is lovely Jayda. Wonderful for the fall. Haven't crochet over the last two months. Took a little break. Hoping to get home to NFLD in September for a month or so. This has been a hard time for all with this pandemic going around. Stay safe. Can't wait to try this later
Hi Susan! I hope you can get there, it looks like traveling into the Atlantic Bubble is a lot of paperwork and isolation up front. With any luck, they'll ease up on that for the rest of the country soon! Save travels :)
Nice 👍🥰
Hi! Thank you for watching :)
Ohhhh,Jayda! I simply love this. Is it possible u could demonstrate how to make small ones for coasters? Be blessed.
Jayda has a sunflower granny square tutorial you could just use the sunflower in that pattern for coasters 😊
@@kellic22 ty. Will give it a look
Jayda, I just made one and I’m going to make another for my round end tables. Just what I needed! Thank you!
Do you have these as coasters? I think they'd be wonderful!
Working on it ;)
Yeah. I already made a set of these placemats and thought the same about coasters. Great! Go Jayda!
Thank you Jayda for this tutorial i just finished this sunflower woohoo made it formy sisters table 👍👏😊
Awesome! Thank you for watching Charlotte 😊
love this sunflower! thanks
Thank you so much for watching Sharna :)
Love Jayda!
Love this idea. What would be the change for the beginning if I am not comfortable with the magic ring? Thank you for another great tutorial.
Hi Johna, I highly recommend the cinch circle since you want a tiny, non-existent space...we have a mini tutorial on how to do it (moving nice and slowly!) you mind find that helpful: ua-cam.com/video/P87GpDPExsU/v-deo.html
Love it ! Thanks so much for sharing 💕
Thank you for watching Marie!
Jayda this is so beautiful!! Added to my projects to do! Fall is my favorite time of the year too! I always love your tutorials. You and Mr. Institches make me smile!! Hope you have a wonderful day!! ❤️
Hi Christine! Thank you for watching, we hope you're having a great week!

Thank you Jayda
How are you Jayda and you Sun Flower is very beautiful
is there a pattern or video for the daisy looking flower behind you? Thanks love all your tutorials
Hi Donna, no, but thank you for the suggestion :)
Love your stuff and fun to do. Thank you
Thank you for watching Vicky!
Lovely! 🌻🌼🌻🌼🌻💜🤗
Thank you Sakura! 😊
Might you have this same pattern for a queen size blanket??
Hi! This was designed to be a round placemat, so turning it into a queen sized blanket might not work overly well given the scale between the middle of the flower and the petals. We do have a sunflower granny square that you might find helpful here: ua-cam.com/video/evEmexpakYk/v-deo.html
love it ty jayda
Thank you for watching Angela!
Hi Jayda. My friend had me to crochet her a sunflower throw pillow. I must have done something wrong so could you do a video of how to crochet a sunflower pillow right so it don't unravel like the one I crocheted for her did. Please and thank you.
Hi Elaine, did you use sunflower granny squares? Thank you for the suggestion :)
@@JaydaInStitches You are welcome. I made the sunflower first and then I crocheted a square around it. She wanted it to be square with a huge sunflower in the middle.
Have you done a video for a kitchen towel holder or on the towel to hang on oven door
Hi Janice, we have a little something like that :) You can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/udn_TQnImA8/v-deo.html
Thank you
Hola
Muy bueno tú trabajo y los pasos
A seguir sumando proyectos y suscriptores.

Thank you for watching!
Just wow ❤️👍😘
🤩
Are most of your patterns for both right and left handed crocheters ?
I know of the mirror tip any other tips that can help this left handed crocheter thanks?
Hi Carol, unless there is a specific left and right side to a design (like our Folk Art Calendar Blanket, but even could be perfectly reversed!) the mirror tip works perfectly. Of course, it the original pattern is written or produced from a right-hand perspective, if the pattern says something like "the false stitch sits at the bottom right of the chain 3" if you're working from a left-handed perspective, this should be interpreted as "the false stitch sits at the bottom left of the chain 3". :)
If I wanted to scale the pattern down to also make placemats and coasters to match, how do I know how to do the border? Thanks.
Hi! We have a matching Coaster sized pattern linked in the description box.
This looks soooo beautiful, can I use a chunky yarn to make it ?
Yes you can! They will probably end up much larger :)
I lov
Ms. Jayda, I want to make this placemat a center for a blanket I am making. All my small sunflowers are in the center of a granny square. I can not figure out how to put this in a granny square. Can you help me please?
💕💕💕
Hi Jayda! Could you tell us what brand of yarn you used for this project and the coasters that go with it?
Hi! I used a wool yarn from New Brunswick called Tuffy by Briggs & Little :)
Hi! I’m new to making placemats, how do you resize it down to 13 inches in diameter?
Hi! Using a larger hook and heavier weight cotton or wool is the best option 😊
@@JaydaInStitches thank you!
Can you add an extended lace border for a round table
Hi! The centre is the easiest thing to continue making larger, because the end rows are what make it look like a Sunflower 😊
Jayda we were discussing Caron anniversary cakes. You should get one at Michaels then make a video with it. I did n it got quite a few views. I’m nowhere near your amount of amazing subscribers but everyone has to start somewhere and I can say you were my inspiration and YT hero! ❤️🧶
Thank you for the suggestion! I'm not sure when/if I'll be getting out to a Michaels any time soon, but if I do, it'll be the top of my life of things to look for :) Who doesn't love a huge ball of yarn?!?!?
Hiiii. Can I use your crochet designs for my small business?
Thank you and God bless you more. 😇
Hi Hope, You are welcome to sell items you make using our patterns and tutorials, we just ask that you include our Name and links to our UA-cam Channel, website and Etsy shop for the design credit. Thank you for watching 😊
@@JaydaInStitches sure I'll do that and when I star my business I'll tag you on IG. 💙 Thank you so much. 😊
Hi do you have some videos on ponchos with hoods and square cushions I am have trouble for size. Regards liz
Hi Liz, depending on the style of poncho you've made, we do have a Cloak pattern that includes a hood, the hood itself might be transferable to the poncho you're working on: ua-cam.com/video/4_Cm_GYV3BY/v-deo.html And we've got a neat granny square cushion cover you might find helpful here: ua-cam.com/video/jhdx6-iflhg/v-deo.html
Jayda InStitches thank you I am going to try your Granny Square poncho and see how it goes.
Jayeda hello. Everything I'm trying this my counting missing. Somehow im not able to so this :( I don't know what to o .
Hi! Be sure that you're not skipping any stitches or using any stitches more times than you should. Also be sure you're starting with the correct amount. If you get a count wrong on a row, it will mess up the rows that come after it. You might find it helpful to use stitch markers. Either to mark the first stitch of the row, or every so many stitches to help keep track as you crochet 😊
Thank you Jayeda:) I will follow and try once again. Then I will let you know. Thanks for your great support:)
Hi jayeda. How are you ? Again i tried very slowly . It came out well. It's very easy and fun. Thanks alot Jayeda. ❤
Hi dear , I have a question
R ur all granny square of same size?? I want to make all different design, n attach together to make my closet cover..
Hi Sabita, not all granny squares are the same size, and you can often make them smaller or larger (as required) by adding more or less rows :)
@@JaydaInStitches Thank you so much for replying 😊😊 ok I'll adjust the size n make 1 ❤❤❤
Thank u for making all these useful n easy video 🙏🙏🥰🥰
Jayda where do you get your yarn needles from with that wide opening?
Hi Krysta! We have a video on those wool needles here: ua-cam.com/video/0EWXaWWffxc/v-deo.html
Yay!! Thank you.
I have tried to do this more times than I can count -- in fact, counting is my problem. Counting puts me to sleep, and I keep doing the wrong sequence of stitches. I have tried different cadences, such as low notes for 2 stitches in one space and 1, 1, 1, etc. as high notes in the single spaces. That didn't work either... still puts me to sleep while I am crocheting and counting. How do you keep your focus?
Hi Robin, I'm always excited to finish a row. I love watching something grow under my hands :D
Imagine if she was just doing one of her demonstration/lesson videos like that, and then in the background we heard "POOL NOODLE!!!!!" and Mr Institches started whacking everything in frame with a pool noodle
* giggle * Anna!! Don't give him any ideas!!
Hi Jayda, I am a huge fan of yours I've been a subscriber for quite some time now. I have a question. A friend of mine open His own business for gaming. And I'm talking board games. But the more advanced board games not your typical monopoly or shoots and ladders type games. And in these games there's what is called meeples . I want to crochet meeple dolls how ever I am very stuck on how to advance the arms. They gradually go down word from the neck. And then go in and then the legs go out. Kind a like you're standing straight up your legs are out but your hands are on your hips and your elbows are out. Like that kind of stance. I am new to being creative with crocheting. I am used to doing blankets and things that don't have funky shapes. If you could help me figure it out that would be wonderful. Or if anybody here can help me to figure it out that would be great. I've tried looking up the meeple Crocheting, but there isn't any that I could find. So if anyone is willing to look up what it is, and then try and figure out a pattern for me that would be absolutely amazing. I will definitely give credit to whoever does. My arms just are not coming out right and I don't know what to do. So thank you in advance to whoever is willing to take on the task
Hi Julie! You want to make the body like a tube, then split the number of stitches in half and continue crocheting a tube using half the stitches for one leg, then go back and crochet a tube using the other half of the stitches for the other leg :)
How to expand it if I want to make it bigger?
Hi Chinar, thank you for popping into our shop and asking 💗
JAYDA COULD YOU DO A POINSETTIA ONE? AND COASTERS?
Hi Cherry! Thank you for the suggestion :)
@@JaydaInStitches can u please do paw coasters but with captions please. Thanks
