I almost passed out from lack of oxygen while doing the vocals for this. Man, Chris was a freak of nature. I know no one could ever do it like him, but I hope this was cool/entertaining. RIP Chris and Chester 🫶
it always blows me away how you can recreate the "vibe" of the band. Its more than just mimicking the voice or inflections, its like the band is writing the entire song and it just feels..... right.
Holy cow. Amazing. You are such a chameleon! Maybe you should reach out to collaborate with @TheCharismaticVoice . She's analyzed a bunch of Chris's singing.
so true, this isnt just a *cover* this is like a complete style change, a mood change, reminds me of "show me how to live", atleast something from the cochise album
That’s also perfect Tom Morello… but specifically Audioslave Tom. I don’t know how to describe it, like he’s 90% the same between the two bands, but then that 10% difference actually counts for like 50%.
seconded. Video auto played and those vocals! Goodnight, Snow White! I basically never subscribe, but I will in support and hopes of more of this awesomeness
I rarely reply to comments on UA-cam, but as a translator by profession, this rings SO true. One of the first things they taught us in college was to never translate literally, word-for-word. (In music, that would be the equivalent of just doing a cover.) Instead, what you want to do is find something that means the same thing in the target culture. In music, that would be what this man is doing: expressing the same ideas and feelings, but in the "language" that (in this case) Audioslave would have expressed them in. And all this on a level and with an attention to detail that just beggars belief every time. Pure genius.
Chris Cornell and Chester we close friends, losing them days apart was devastating. It still hurts to this day. Thank you for this. Excellent rendition.
I think both Chris and Chester would have loved this cover Mac, you really did both of them credit here. I got to meet Chris once when I was younger backstage at an audioslave concert. We really lost a bright light the day he left us.
I've been a HUGE Audioslave fan since day 1. This was freakin' legit at all levels. Damnit man, this gave chills. Miss Chris sooooo much. Thank you doesn't cover it.
Audioslave was such a treat in my young adult years after having grown up with Soundgarden, RATM, and Linkin Park - to hear this was beyond gratifying...like nostalgia and deja vu in the same moment.
Holy crap, this is maybe the greatest cover I have ever heard. I knew you were a genius before, but this just confirms it! Two of my heroes, gone too soon, and you found a way to honor both of them
talk about how this sounds tight and crunchy all in one, just like Brad and Timmy would have locked in together, with that clean and distorted bass and snappy drums. Tom would make them strings sing and wail with the wah wah pedal too, all while keeping the rhythm section together. You nailed Cornell's style and sound too. Wow. This is nuts.
Dude, this was absolutely perfection. I close my eyes and hear Chris as a young man covering Chester’s incredible music. Bro, this is one of my all time favorite songs now. Literal perfection. More like this
There was an incredible live performance of Crawling by Linkin Park where Chris Cornell came out and sang the second verse and finished the final chorus with Chester Bennington. Go watch it now. It will absolutely send you chills.
3:33 ok ur Cornell sound got me. Ur on point!UA-cam was playing in another room and I ran to see what song this was that I missed from Chris. Nice, man
Thanks to my dad, I've grown up listening to bands like Audioslave and Linkin Park. When I still was a baby, I already sang this kind of songs (I'm 26 now). Their songs lulled me and they still do in a certain way. This cover is impressive, and it makes me really emotional. Thank you for this, and well done
That was awesome! These are two of my favorite bands, especially Audioslave. You absolutely nailed Audioslave: Chris Cornell's vocal stylings, the chunky base line, Tom's noodling solos, the haunting bridge - all of it. And yes, Chris Cornell was a machine. I love to sing his stuff for karaoke competitions but goddamn are his vocals hard to match!
Amazing cover and it's so thematically consistent with some of Audioslave's other work. Love the Get to Heaven shirt btw! Can't believe it's been 10 years since that album released.
1:18 this made this jaded 46 year old child of the grunge era start openly weeping. You nailed it in it's soul. This is amazing. Thank you for sharing your musical talent with the world. Blessings my friend.
Bro its sad u an ur channel are so underrated everyone needs to share this shit. Ur voice is amazing bro keep doin ur thing people will catch on eventually. There are great things to come for you my friend.
So beautiful considering Chris Cornell took his life May 18th 2017, and Chester was such a friend and fan of his... and then took his own life 2 months later on July 20th 2017. Though I don't particularly love this rendition it's so nice to listen to.
Man, I'm really impressed how you can insert a song into the real style of another band. There are a lot of good guys doing covers and versions, but you're definitely a genius - even though you bumped into Soundgarden in a few parts hahahah. But seriously: I say this from the bottom of my heart as a huge Audioslave fan. Congratulations
Spot on on many levels and nuances. This is fantastic and made me listen to all Audioslave albums again. Thanks for this. I hope you'll consider more covers as Audioslave in the future.
Well considering your pinned comment, maybe suggesting that you should've gone higher on the "another mistake" @ 1:04 (as I believe that's what Chris would've done) was NOT in your best interest. Cause yes, that man's vocals were not human!
Holy shit that's good. Just. Wow. You nailed the style and tone so well, it's incredible. And your singing in the style of Cornell... I'm genuinely impressed.
Damn! I love all of your videos but this one is the most mind blowing to me. Audioslave is one of my all time favs, I listen to their 3 albums on repeat, and this sounds EXACTLY like them. Like a hidden track I’ve never heard. And that’s saying something cause Cornell’s voice is SO distinctive. Bravo 👏 👏 👏
I was in bobbing my head to this new audioslave song, and somehow was singing the words to it like I knew it. Then I snapped back into reality and remembered that I already knew the lyrics of this Linkin park song and this was mac glocky
I appreciate that in the newer videos you are basically releasing a full song - I still pick them up on iTunes - but it is nice not having to hope for a full version!
Just WOW! Been a fan for quite awhile, but speaking as a huge Audioslave fan, you NAILED their whole vibe. Chris Cornell’s is not an easy voice to replicate, but you did it well!
Wow! Dude, you absolutely nailed his voice, blown away! 🤘 I grew up to Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, AudioSlave and Linken Park so this hit me hard. Chris and Chester are cheering I'm sure of it. 👌
I almost passed out from lack of oxygen while doing the vocals for this. Man, Chris was a freak of nature. I know no one could ever do it like him, but I hope this was cool/entertaining. RIP Chris and Chester 🫶
Nailed it!
awesome fuckin' tribute dude this is badass AF
You channeled the spirit of Chris beautifully! Very few people can even come close and you definitely fit that bill. Another solid banger!
it always blows me away how you can recreate the "vibe" of the band.
This is the kind of covers I love. I don’t want to hear a copy. I want to hear a song completely reimagined
Thisssssssss
so true, this isnt just a *cover* this is like a complete style change, a mood change, reminds me of "show me how to live", atleast something from the cochise album
That’s also perfect Tom Morello… but specifically Audioslave Tom. I don’t know how to describe it, like he’s 90% the same between the two bands, but then that 10% difference actually counts for like 50%.
His song by Bjork army of me is off the chain, I like some of them more than others but overall I think the guy has a real talent for this.
Agreed. That's why i don't like that Frog Stomp Studios guy. He just literally redoes the song with heavy guitar
If linkin park wrote like a stone
Oh his Chester voice on this song would be TOP
Yuuuuuuussssssss!!!
yes dude
i have been thinking about what a cover like that would be like for so long
+1... *dew it*
Bro wtf is happening rn this is borderline supernatural
seconded. Video auto played and those vocals! Goodnight, Snow White! I basically never subscribe, but I will in support and hopes of more of this awesomeness
It’s really like watching someone flawlessly translate one language into another, with perfect grammar in both languages.
This is the best description of his covers!
This is the best description of Mac Glocky's covers!
Perfect description 👌
Unbelievably well stated. 💯

Unreal, dude. So blown away by your understanding of what Chris would have done in a song like this, and then to execute it perfectly. 10/10
what a fucking tribute, chris and chester both smiling.
Both were activists against human trafficking, both unalived under sketchy circumstances.
Agreee with everyone saying that you nailed the Chris Cornell vocals, but that Tom Morello solo at 2:54 is ❤🔥too!
Chris Cornell and Chester we close friends, losing them days apart was devastating. It still hurts to this day. Thank you for this. Excellent rendition.

Wild thing is i was listening to “like a stone” on spotify right before I go on UA-cam and see this.
Chris Cornell is a goat.
Audioslave was such a treat in my young adult years after having grown up with Soundgarden, RATM, and Linkin Park - to hear this was beyond gratifying...like nostalgia and deja vu in the same moment.
If Incubus wrote Youth of the Nation by P.O.D.
Yeah! Please! I love what Mac turns raps into melodies!
Would love to hear this one
That's a good one actually
Ooo
I think we have something here
RIP to these 2 legends....you knocked it outta the park Sir!
But which park exactly?
👀
Holy crap, this is maybe the greatest cover I have ever heard. I knew you were a genius before, but this just confirms it! Two of my heroes, gone too soon, and you found a way to honor both of them
Haha you channelled Cornell and the Audioslave guys for this perfectly!
In my mind, Chris and Chester are rocking out like this in heaven.
I honestly listen to your songs every week.
Super cool you picked my suggestion.
Another hit for the playlist.
Wow. That first chorus has me sold on you, guy. One of the hardest vocalists to
mimic. Serious talent. Best to you
Can't wait for this to be released on Spotify
Instant playlist add
This was phenomenal. I think you made Chris and Chester so proud today. Thanks for sharing.
More Audioslave interpretations please!
I second this
I third this!
I forth this!

This one needs to be on Spotify. Killer cover as always man.
That was perfect. Cool to honor both musicians in this way.

From Chris' vocals to Tom's crunchy guitar, this is very spot on, good job as always homie 🤜🤛
Dude, this was absolutely perfection. I close my eyes and hear Chris as a young man covering Chester’s incredible music. Bro, this is one of my all time favorite songs now. Literal perfection. More like this
the instrumental started and i imediately thought “oh, this one is too easy”. i cant believe this didn’t exist until you made it just now 😭
There was an incredible live performance of Crawling by Linkin Park where Chris Cornell came out and sang the second verse and finished the final chorus with Chester Bennington. Go watch it now. It will absolutely send you chills.
Found it--thanks!! ua-cam.com/video/sAOLJVsk9mA/v-deo.htmlsi=Tr7vJgJpz5ng4euq
Thank you to both of you - that was amazing ❤❤ Never heard it before.. ❤
I will-!! Thanks for recommending
There was another time where Chester and Chris performed Hunter Strike as well it’s just as fantastic
you're a goddamn genius necromancer
That “all I want to do” vocal is nuts. Good job. 🤘
3:33 ok ur Cornell sound got me. Ur on point!UA-cam was playing in another room and I ran to see what song this was that I missed from Chris. Nice, man
that's a DAMN solid nod to tom's solo style, top chap
not to mention the cochise groove throughout the song
This rocks so fuckin hard
This... physically hurts. It is that good.
...Could you do Layne Staley?
He done if alice in chains covered man who ruled the world (instead of nirvana) and its a fucking BANGER
That's the distortion style I heard in the verses, VERY Layne Staley
Are you familiar with Steve Welsh? His "If Alice in Chains wrote x" tracks go hard!
www.youtube.com/@stevewelsh__
@jonathonshaw6688 He attempts, but he just can't hit it. It just ends up sounding like Jonathan Davis.
@@robertquigley8119 Wow, absolutely. Dude needs to do more AIC.
The tom morello solo did not disappoint. Holy rage against the garden. That was sick
Soon as it said Audioslave, I was waiting for the stanky guitar solo; was not disappointed. Well done, as always.
Bruh the badmotorfinger is strong with this one

If linkin park wrote I am the highway by Audioslave
Yes please
Can hear some Mike vocals in the verses
The cover we never knew we wanted, that we'd never get, but absolutely deserve. Beautiful.
Wow, you totally nailed the Chris Cornell vocal style! Add that to your list! I'd love an I Am The Highway cover!
That was awesome! These are two of my favorite bands, especially Audioslave. This is awesome! The cadence is on point. Keep it up! ❤
That bridge. Instantly teary eyed because of how heavy both stories were. So well done. 🥹😮💨🥹
This is incredible. Thank you for sharing. I guess it’s time to revisit everything they did for my annual weeping.
Same. I still find it so hard to listen to their music. Even though they were my favorite artists. It breaks my heart. Still to this day. 😢
“No one sings like you anymore”. I Miss Chris. This was an amazing video sir. Bravo.
I have watched a ridiculous number of your videos and this may be my favorite one yet. @3:33, yes!! Amazing work
Mac Glocky is one of the primary reasons I get as excited to play my guitar as I am. Love the content thank you!
If Glassjaw wrote Hit Me Baby One More Time
Amazing cover and it's so thematically consistent with some of Audioslave's other work.
Love the Get to Heaven shirt btw! Can't believe it's been 10 years since that album released.
You did a great job capturing the sound of Audioslave here. This is by far my favorite channel on UA-cam, keep up the great work.
1:18 this made this jaded 46 year old child of the grunge era start openly weeping.

So frickin' dope, great job man!
This is so sick. Great tribute to two absolutely legendary vocalists.
RIP Chris & Chester ❤️🩹
Really nice Morello styling
Freaking goosebumps man ! Two of my favorite vocalists. You nailed Chris' laziness verses then explode with his high pitch chorus action
1:29 kind of got a little Ozzy in that part for a second and i dig it. Great job man, this is groovy I'm jamming.

Holy shit that's good. Just. Wow. You nailed the style and tone so well, it's incredible. And your singing in the style of Cornell... I'm genuinely impressed.
I can't decide what's more atonishing, the guitar skills or the vocal range
Another banger! Great job with the vocals, and i loved the incorporation of the wah pedal, it gave the solo a Tom Morello vibe! Keep up the good work!

Agree! Really, if he puts out an album, ill buy it regardless.
RIP Chris & Chester. I know this hurt Mac’s throat. Cornell is fucking difficult to reproduce.

my two favorite childhood bands, thanks mac! more audioslave please!
