And written in a time when any difference was a target for insults and body shaming, the script see's everyone as beautiful! The only other TV family that I can think of, that has such great loving parents and who love each other this much, and even accepts difference, is the Belcher's in Bob's Burgers.

There are so many funny inuendos in this episode. I remember watching this show in re-runs when I was a kid in the 1970s, but back then, the innuendos went right over my head.
The CGI is much better than most things made now, it keeps alot of the good things about the original. If you treat it as an homage and not a comparison, its actually good.
You could do a lot worse than marrying Fester. You would be part of a loving family, have a dedicated (Though slightly weird.) husband, never have to work again, these people are clearly stinking rich, and EVERY day would be a ton of fun!
All true, BUT unless you are pretty similar to the Addamses, the chance of survival is slim. They have lions, carnivorous plants, toxic food, endless swamps, electric chairs, beds covered in nails, etc. They’re lovely, but not the safest bet.

That would be very creepy by today’s standards, but not all that uncommon in the early 20th century (though more in the 1800s). Also, Fester was just trying to arrange a date that could lead to a wedding. No ordering involved.
I love the casting of this version of the Addams Family. Fester is brilliant. Although credit to Cristina Ricci for her performance as Wednesday in the films, it was an interesting take on her.

In one episode Lurch appeared before Gomez actually pulled the rope. I always laugh when Gomez jumps and says "Gadzooks! Now that's efficiency!"

I love the casting of this version of the Addams Family. Fester is brilliant. Although credit to Cristina Ricci for her performance as Wednesday in the films, it was an interesting take on her.
