Infact Islam is the only mainstream religion that disallowes one to leave. Even land is not allowed to leave Islam. They're so possessive over everything. I heard a story about a guy who bought a car from this Islamic guy, a week later he found the guy trying to run of with his new car. and now I'm starting to think perhaps there was something to that story.
In the past the Western lands have attacked other parts of the world with the justification of the people there not being Christians, later with the justification of them not being "civilized" and now with the justification of them not being democratic.

I have not come across other religious book beside the bible that commands the killing of babies.
We do not believe that God or any prophet will give such a command. These corruptions of scripture are made by evil persons.

When it comes to religious and spiritual beliefs and practices it's sincerely, honesty and intelligence all coupled with humility is important. Bravery has nothing to do with it.Some gentleman had commented that the reason why christians convert to Islam is that many of them do not go to church and that they don't know the basic tenents of the Bible and that many of them don't even read Bible.
The truth is exactly the opposite. The above are the reasons why they remain christians. Those who take their religion seriously are the ones who revert to Islam. Why would anyone who never watches any movie be concerned about who directed which movie and who are the lead actors.
I have a Muslim friend who says Islam is a religion of peace. At the same time he would not condemn the killing of the artist who drew a cartoon of Muhammad. He said we have no right to talk about Muhammad if we are not Muslim. This person believes the Quran is the perfect word of god from its inception and has not changed one iota from its beginning. Those who say differently, like Professor Spencer, are evil deceivers. This is a very dark mind that is forever closed because it’s God’s will, because if you already have the truth anything that questions that truth is evil. This insanity is Islam and will destroy the world.

Just ask him to explain why a man over 50 would be attracted to a 6 yr old playing with dolls. Ask him why a man who owned a sex slave for use in bed (Mary the Copt) represents the best possible role model for mankind. Ask him what are the 37 different arabic qurans on sale in the world today, if there is only one arabic quran. If your friend is of African origin, ask him why his cult founder was a slave owner who owned and traded blacks, yet is supposed to be the best possible example for him to follow. You should search for Robert Spencer. His critiques of the history and authenticity of Islam are the best I have heard. I lived in Oman and could have been easily led to think Islam could be peaceful, however the Omanis also fear the Wahabi Saudi Islamists because they see that the Omani's who control the messages in their Mosques are not the norm. I grew up in an African country and when we learned the history of religions, we were told the truth; that Islam was spread by the sword so I was confused as a grown up to hear the western leaders saying that Islam was a religion of peace. I guess the history changed somewhere along the way.

Men aren’t being killed by the thousands in battle or in dangerous professions like seafishing, or dying off from injuries and diseases that modern medicine can remedy. In any case, polygamy violates the respect and honour due to women, reducing them to objects for the satisfaction of men’s sexual urges. Women are made in the image of God as much as men are-read the Book of Genesis, if you’re allowed. They reflect His creation and love in a unique and wonderful way.

QURAN VS BHAGVAT-GITA
When it comes to religious matters, there are always debates and discussions as to which is the perfect religion that guides towards salvation and teaches one to be a perfect human being. Presenting facts about religion is a tough task as most of them try to hide the shortcomings of one's religion. But what is not to be forgotten is truth cannot be hidden and by some means it will prove its existence.
There are much arguments about Quran and Bhagavad Gita, considering there complete contradictory nature. Muslims have always argued that the Quran is the only path to see God, while Hindus believe that attaining salvation (moksha) is equivalent to seeing God which can be achieved by developing good deeds.
HOLY QURAN
1. Quran says: Islam is the only true religion. The God gets upset when one “sets up partners in worship with Him” (Quran, 4:116).
2. Only those who believe in Quran can go to heaven. And there is no place than hell for Kafirs (non-believers). Allah punishes people those who worship other Gods which is described in the words….“Lâ ilâha illa Huwa” (No one should be worshiped other than Allah) (Quran, 6:102).
3. Quran describes Muslims are the only rightful people and raised for mankind (Quran, 3:110). Heaven is the ultimate goal of life and every man should try to get it in their life.
4. Quran says followers needs to fear him and if followed, he will grant reward (Quran 65.5). It also describes that every Muslim should perform 5 times prayer, go to Haj, if not, ready to face fire in hell. The book also says, “Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever.” (Quran 72.23)
5. Quran says, that Muslims must obey Allah and his guidance and anyone who intends to follow other religion will never be accepted (Quran 3.85).
NOW LETS US LOOK AT WHAT BHAGAVAT GITA SAYS…
1. Bhagavad Gita doesn’t believe in self centered attitude. The Lord says, I am in everyone’s heart as a soul. “As soon as one desires to worship some demigod, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to that particular deity.” (Bhagavad-Gita, 7:21).
2. Gita mentions that there is only one God, but people see him in different forms (Bhagavad-Gita, 7:22).
3. The Gita says “He is a perfect yogi who, by comparison to his own self, sees the true equality of all beings, in both their happiness and their distress, O Arjuna!” (Bhagavad-Gita, 6:32). It says Karma will decide ones fate and religion, heaven and hell has no meaning in Gita.
4. Krishna says, do not fear me, do your duties and your work will protect you ever (Bhagavad Gita 18.66).
5. Krishna says, I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to him.(Bhagavad Gita 9.29).
6. Gita allows free thinking, All activities should be performed without attachment or expectations and as performed as duty from whole heart, That is My opinion, says Krishna (Bhagavad Gita 18.6). By saying That is my opinion, he allows free thinking and allows people to decide what is right or wrong.

I think Mohammed was a traumatized orphan boy who grew up traveling as a merchant help to his uncle. This life experiences gave him exposure to Judizim, Christianity, Hinduism, and Zoroasterism. He took ideas from all of these different faiths. Like washing before prayers from Hindus, Praying multiple times facing Jerusalem from the Jews, the story of Jesus and the gospels from Christians, Huris from Zoroasters and more. I think he suffered psychological problems and he frequently went to caves to isolate himself. As for the angle Gabriel, either he made it up or he encounter the devil in disguise. Regardless, it is so sad to think about the billions of people that will be going to hell because him. Mr. Spencer, you're right on about most Iranians' resentment if not hatred toward 1400 years of brutal Islamic occupation of Iran. Our resentment is not aimed at Arabs, it's aimed at Islam.
To Iranians the revival of the Zoroaster's teachings and values (life, happiness, truth, knowledge, good thoughts, good ...) is our renaissance.
And just a correction: Zoroastrianism is not fire worship. I know you're trying to oversimplify it for your audience but unfortunately the muslims use the same deragotary term to label the Zoroastrians.
Overall I enjoy and learn a lot from your discussions.
