TO land like that without flaps...WOW You nailed it. You had some physics on your side for sure. I get excited every time I see a C-130 running down the strip.
@@zxbigmikexz That's what I'm talking about; the C130's wing span is longer than its body, but the A12's body is longer than its wing span. So "in scale" the A12 would be 15' long. Epic ;-P
now THAT would be a feat of engineering. Remember: it took them decades and a few deaths before they got it right in real life. You would not believe the physics involved in that thing.
Having seen and flown on one I would be super impressed if the could get something like that to do vertical take offs AND landings. Those things are crazy complicated and ever harder to fly. Could a R/C flight controller handle something like that?

I think it would be cool if you guys had it done up in the Coulson Aviation water bomber livery as a tribute to the American C130 pilots who died in the Australian bushfires after the plane crashed.
Yes they should
I Second that!
yes do it
Wishing I'd seen this a year ago. Mostly because I would have loved to see it painted & dropping a (whole bunch) of parachuters like a big military operation with equipment & personnel. If you still have the plane I'd even have an idea to make such an event worth doing, but that's another conversation.
So very glad to see this aeroplane, it really made my day, thank you for taking the time to make this video.
I'd love to see you guys build a giant foam spruce goose
Their is video of some people making and flying one on UA-cam.
The original Spruce Goose didn't actually fly above ground effect hight, I know you guys can make it fly!
Plane: goes up at 30 degrees
Everyone: *ITS GOING VERTICAL*
Hello Nightbot
Hello Undertale
It's entering space shuttle mode!
id say closer to 54.836 degrees...
You really measured it
Thank you guys for keeping these videos clean and wholesome. Your team is still adventurous and creative but with quality as the backbone. Doing the right thing is not an old school way of thinking but is time less. Thank you for not compromising. The moral value your giving to your viewers and this hobby are really inspirational.
Timeless and time honored.
Did he just say, "fly something out the back of it"? 😁
I JUST said do some navy seal parachutists........or do low level drops......you know, when the plane is a foot above the ground the they have a tank with a parachute on it to drag it out the back and leave it on the ground?
I wanna see them launch the chase drone mid flight 😅
yee i bet a little bird could fit inside a c-130.

Spectacular. It was beautiful to watch in the air, and that landing! Josh! That's gotta be amongst your favorite landings ever.
This just keeps better and better. Sure wish my Dad and his brother were still around to also enjoy it.
DRONE MISSION!! 3 minutes to drop some quads out the back, they then have to reach a target point and do a small task, and return to the c 130!
we need this now its like that idea that the miltry had to make a flying aircraft caryer
That’s awesome! My father was a c-130 tanker pilot fighting forest fires, and one of just a hand full of A-model specialists. He would love that thing!
Also +1 on the paratrooper drop.
when you have tried everything you have to put rocket motors on it like the fat albert! but try everything else before that in case of it gets destroyed
YES!!!
Yes!!! Sugar rockets from the King of Random!
Excellent idea.
Let's Rock'n Roll baby!!!!
Im retired AF. My favorite aircraft are F-15, F-16, T-38, C5-A, and the EC130E Commando Solo. I was a Flight Engineer on the EC130E with the 193rd ANG with 800 hrs and 52 combat missions over Irac. The EC130E Commando Solo never carried combat troops, but I would love to see you fly your FT 130 and air drop troops and maybe cargo. Thanks, and good luck
Absolutely brilliant guys. Well executed, it’s so good to see modellers who are great pilots showing these amazing builds the flights they deserve!
Add flaps, then drop hummve out the back.
THIS! Even if its a foam humvee!
With a working chute.
Better yet, LAPES extractions.
@Scott Murphy I couldn't remember the correct acronym. High Mobility Multi Wheeled Vehicle.
The drone pilot is insane good! How many hours he flew in the recent years to keep exactly at the planes tale? WOW!
It's pretty easy with fpv
He's been flying drones and chaser craft like that for years several years, at this point it's muscle memory and instinct lol
13 years of being an aircrew member on 130’s this was fantastic.
The first time I flew on a 130 was to Elmendorf AFB to get my flight physical back in 1973... I blew chunks all over the inside.
Speaking of Hercules - someone should do a model of Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" Hercules, and see how well it flies...
Drop a tank with a parachute. Troops would be cool too. Impressive build.
Guys, that was super cool! I've been lucky enough to get a job at an aircraft painting company, and they're repainting a Royal Australian Air Force C-130 this month. What a bird!
I'm a pastor who had two members, one a pilot and another a loadmaster, who flew the full-sized C-130. Great Job FT!!
I dream of one day seeing an rc Ekranoplan in that scale
object 906 that would be awesome!!!!
That would be awesome
Yes!!!
That would be awesome, yes, but they’re gonna need a bigger lake.
You can fly out a small plane out of this. Just a thought!!
Or even recreate the car drop scene from Fast and the Furious!!
Both of these ideas would be great!
I hope you guys see this.
Ajinkya Gode I think they’ve already done a car drop from a different cargo plane
Yeah they built a guinea pig and dropped a Jeep like rc car
They also dropped a funjet out of a Guinea
I'm just starting with flitetest-- working on an ft viggen rn. Thanks flitetest! You guys rule!
TO land like that without flaps...WOW You nailed it. You had some physics on your side for sure.
I get excited every time I see a C-130 running down the strip.
That’s awesome guys. I just love the giants. Great job Josh and John.
Gotta be a Paradrop... after that the AC-130 gunship sounds about right, bb guns and paintball cannon...
Dude I came in this comment section to look if someone made this comment it would be really awesome if they made a gunship actually they have to do it
this comment deserves more likes.
How bout Flite Test version of "M.O.A.B." coming out of the back. But what about a large scale ducted fan A12/SR71 :-P
I'm all for a foam Blackbird, but it has to be large scale. At least 10 feet (3 meters) long.
@@zxbigmikexz That's what I'm talking about; the C130's wing span is longer than its body, but the A12's body is longer than its wing span. So "in scale" the A12 would be 15' long. Epic ;-P
You should do flares out of the back! You can create that "angel wing flare" pattern and it would look AMAZING!!
Surprised I haven't see much mentioning of turning this into a Spectre gun ship.
Using the mini guns from the battleship dive bomb episode
Paintball artillery
Make a model of V 22 OSPREY PLZZZZZZZZZ..............
That would be amazing.
now THAT would be a feat of engineering. Remember: it took them decades and a few deaths before they got it right in real life.
You would not believe the physics involved in that thing.
Someone get this man to Harvard!
Having seen and flown on one I would be super impressed if the could get something like that to do vertical take offs AND landings. Those things are crazy complicated and ever harder to fly. Could a R/C flight controller handle something like that?
@@usmcmoss1 I used to own an R/C V-22, the controller handled it like a champ but then I got rammed by a 747 LOL
You got a thumbs up for that PERFECT landing!
This was on my birthday... Thank you for giving me a great time on my birthday cuz i got a ac-130 plane model set on my bday
Turn it into a gunship with airsoft to use against a tank of “ground forces” lol
And fireworks

Side door guns?! Hell yeah, brother!
They already did that with some of their planes.
Now just need Airborne Troopers flying out the back of it.
Go Army.
You guys are starting to need an actual size hangar, dig an underground hangar to store all the massive planes..... and have an elevator just for the planes like on aircraft carriers
"Hopefully it flies."
Everytime I flew on a C130 with a cracked wingbox.
if you're happy and you know it, clap your wings
Make RC Humvees and drive them out the back with parachutes!!!
I always get the vibe that Stefan is their weed connection, always an important member of any team.
Fly in some weed?!
@@joenewman4385 fly WITH
Imagine having a paintball gun mounted on the side and able to shoot like a gunship and then having a mini drone or 2 in the back fall out and fly
Was a crew chief in the airforce for this. The j model.
Thing was a beast. Fun times and great work on this
Make a p3 Orion and fly it, and it's such a iconic plane. My dad was in the navy and looked for subs in the p3
OMG MAKE IT TO THE ANGEL OF DEATH!
That’s when it shoots the flares out of the back that look like an Angel!!! Omg it would look soooo cool with like fireworks or something!!
CIRL - clapped in real life when it landed, that was sooo sweet :o)
These guys have the BEST Job in the world.
"Almost vertical" -> 45°
Lol haha als wenn man dich hier trifft was geht so

Rounding.
From their POV it probably looked like vertical...

Would love to see you guys drop a smaller RC plane out the back, something like one of the experimental parasite fighters the Air Force was playing around with.
Or a lifting body spaceship like Dream Chaser. (with an ESTES rocket attached)
I'm so happy lol, this is one of my favorite real life planes 😁
Just went over it and y'all have made and/or flown on this channel six of my top ten favorite planes.
P-51 Mustang, P-35 Lighting, A-10 Thunderbolt II, C-130 Hercules, B-29 Superfortress, and the Spitfire.
I look forward to maybe seeing these planes show up as well.
B-17 Flying Fortress
F-7f Tigercat
F-15 Eagle
Amazing well done. Love it. That's so good that you should consider skinning it with carbon fiber (or e-glass) and vacuum bagging it for additional structural rigidity and longevity.
Ok so I need to know, is there video of that Me-262 model we saw at the start of this one? the 262 is one of my fave planes ever, would love to see that thing going.
Seeing that C-130 in a banked turn got me thinking... Airsoft or paintball guns sticking out of 1 side, AC-130! needs to be a thing
I love the me 262
But I would die for a rocket powered me 163
I saw the AT-AT in the back and thought “What if they made the aircraft from Star Wars that lowers the walkers onto the surface of the planets?”
Dude that landing was like a dream!
That was so beautiful. It looked scale. I think that is the first time I have seen an RC look so scale. Nice build.
Set up a line of paratroopers inside it and deploy them over the flight field.
thats what i said! would be epic
AATW
i know you said dont expect a kit for this... but.. maybe a smaller one? 👀
also would love to see some airsoft in there. turn it into an AC130 😉
Imagine taking this to a airsoft field and screaming “ENEMY AC-130 ABOVE
imagination: over the airsoft field"airsoft player hey someone cover me i need to get to the hostage house "they be like ok" airsoft player ok wheres ur gun"umm its up there"enemy players ENEMY AC-130 ABOVE
I would be running if i heard that
I would love that. It would be great if the teams could fight over a moving command center that allows the holding team to call in strikes.
ya they should put some remote controlled airsoft guns in it
correction, C-130 hercules, used in the vietnam war as a areial support craft, and now we use it for cargo
I fly right seat on the c-130j Super. I grew up around hercs and promised one day I'd be at the controls, she's a window rattling, earth shaken ungodly behemoth, but she's sexy as hell to fly. I'll never willingly give up flying them.
Looks like you guys had fun. Great vid.
