this is a real game changer if you have both a PC and an Ipad, with this you can cut the hours into minutes. Especially with those fine textures that usually can only be found in photoshop but with capture you can get those textures like metal and wood. Bravo adobe, i havent been this impressed since they added animation feature to photoshop.
I have an iPad Pro, and I have just purchased an Apple Pencil 2. I have also got a high spec iMac along with Creative Cloud Membership. I am hoping to learn how to draw on the iPad, export to the iMac and integrate the illustrations into Adobe Animate, which I can then export for use in After Effects.... No idea if this is a good workflow or if there are better options or ways of doing things.
I previously purchased Adobe Ideas app that was the precursor to this app.. I used to be able to export my drawing from iPad to email or iTunes or any other service as an SVG file... Was informed by Adobe support that the feature would be brought to this new app for some time now but have yet to see it implemented... what is the ETA?
Any way to preserve the line stroke free manipulation? Or is one just stuck with an outlined vector to use.. I feel like a huge part of illustrator is the fact hat you can fine-tune your line work just by dragging the anchor points if your stroke.. Kinda a huge bummer. Maybe even a deal breaker.
Totally agree-I just got an Ipad Pro and had assumed this would be the workflow. I can't believe Adobe didn't include at least an option to preserve strokes, so you could send to Illustrator to further edit the stroke w/brushes, etc... Hopefully in a future release...
I want to use my illustrations in After Effects. And can only use the Blob tool in illustrator when using the Wacom. I want to use a stroke but be able to affect the line width by pen pressure and keep the lines I’ve drawn with the blob brush as vector strokes. Not shapes!!!! Please help.
Hey guys, I have a question: so Adobe Illustrator CC is for Desktop only, and the iPad Pro will only support Illustrator Draw? I'm trying to understand so I can figure out what my workflow would be like if I purchased the iPad Pro. Thanks!
Yes adobe illustrator cc is only for desktop. You can download the app adobe illustrator draw, which is just made specifically to run on your ipad pro...and the good thing is, it is free on the app store.
I am still using Adobe IDeas which, in my mind, is the same app? This new version, can it export and mail different kind of vector formats like SVG PDF etc. without having anything to do with Adobe CC.... Btw: It seems the brushes are still very few?
I have illustrator cc in Windows, and I tried to export from Draw to my illustrator cc and it happened nothing. Can someone tell me what to do in this case?
Drawing with this app is amazing, but no svg import or export makes it utterly useless in a Vector drawing app. You HAVE to have illustrator CC, the fully paid monthly subsciption; not the demo, to even think about SVG export.
every time i use the hold to fill function it takes TOO long to execute.. and im just filling in very small parts. i doubt its my ipad cuz i have the pro 9.7" and i just got it. also palm rejection doesnt seem to work, im accidently inputing marks and pressing buttons all over the place when drawing with apple pencil. help?
The cost is a leg, or the cost of a Child over the period of time. (Really Adobe Creative Cloud is probably the cost of someone’s Alimony or Child Support). 😂
Can someone help me? I also draw in the adobe draw app for ipad pro and want to export the design to my illustrator on my computer whit all the vectors and layers. Is it possible? I need the design for a huge banner. Thanks for the reply
Problem I’ve found with this app is that I can’t save it as a jpg or pdf or anything. I can only send myself a link to it. But I can’t even screenshot the image from that link.
I really want Adobe draw but I can't... I have iPad 2 wa! When are they going let iPad 2 or all of the iPad's download Adobe draw PLEASE WORK ON IPAD 2
Annoyed because I can draw perfectly fine in this app but blending or creating a gradient is very impossible it really gets on my nerves!!! Some techniques would be nice
Adobe needs to get new hosts, their hosts always come off as disingenuous and bland to me. Get some people who are actually excited about the products and people they're working with.
No they didn't. You hqve to have a pen that suports it smart guy. Apple pen and the pen that comes with the galaxy tab3 both have pressure. You can buy from 3rd part too
No one listen to these android fanboys not ONE android tablet has any HOPE in touching the iPad pro in terms of productivity and power and 3rd party support. (Even 1st party support is lacking, ask them which version of android they're running.)

I look at this like a whole new branch of graphic design, and i think it is very much a new form of artwork..
