Greetings from Germany!
Love the sound of those big bore diesels barking out a short pipe.
Looks like you had a good day our Richard, plenty of action, good to see the class 25 running Andy
Looks like you had a great time in Loughborough. It's my local preservation line and I love looking around the loco sheds ... Steve
Looks like a fab day out Richard, favourite for me is the class 25.
Cheers
Howard.
Just realised, I saw 5401 on the North Norfolk railway at Holt in July! Nice to see it again!

Great to see all this action. Haven't been here since the WW2 gala last year.
Thanks for the detail shots of the point rodding and wires. Gold for me! And the diesels were marvelous too!
amazing day out ,, thanks for thinking of us and sharing
Thanks for the show Richard! I very much enjoyed the sights and sounds of your gala outing............Mike
Very enjoyable, pleasant change from puff puffs.
Diesel engines....So much better than the crap train units we have now. Thanks for the video
Great post. I'll have to watch it again.
What a great looking time. Thanks for sharing.
Great video thanks some great shots on there!!
It's interesting, seeing all of these obsolete diesels which have more or less suffered the same fate as their precurors. But obviously, I just don't have the same attachment for boxes on wheels as I do for kettles. Still, I'd be holding a double-standard if I didn't think it was good that these diesels have been preserved.
Great footage Richard, I particularly like the detail shots, very useful for the modeller.
Looks like an excellent day out, well done.
John.
Sweet looking mini!!!
Great video and I cant help thinking about your excellent model railway and your ballast and general track work, it's just like the real thing on this video.
The guy tucking his head in for the signal when it was 10 miles from him
HOT DIESEL ACTION
Just noticed how small the headlights are on these units. Or am I completely blind?
Great to see some awesome footage mate, loving the diesel gala
Very well put together that!
We all look forward to seeing your videos
the peaks looked fantastic. great video :-)
wow there is some age sitting on those rails ,, must have been a great day out ,,,, I am very surprised at people with there hands and heads out , good thing no one lost anything there , in Canada you be taken off the train right a way , after every one knew why and it was you , just not aloud here ,
The trains on preserved lines are never going fast enough for it to be unsafe, they only do 25mph so its not a high risk, if you did it on a mainline express train im sure you'd be thrown off the train, if you hadn't already lost your head ! Lol
Great footage!
Great film footage, thank you for uploading this.
my two favorite things trains and minis
Thanks for sharing. Local to me, but sadly medics won't let me drive any more :-(
Oh, speaking of; Has the Great Central Railway funded its bridge connection?

Poopingbotham Indeed. I'm quite pleased to read up about it on their website. When they eventually complete it, I want to ride one of their joint services :D
