Friend. Watching this with you have helped me through some real diffucult times. Perhaps making me remember how much I enjoyed the series myself. I also watched it later. Binging is good. ha.
Trivia: The Jaffa that dies at the beginning, goes on to be the Chief in Battestar Galactica. Trivia: The airman guarding the gate is Steven Bacic, he goes on to be in Andromeda, and comes back to Stargate a few more times in a couple of other roles. Trivia: When Daniel tells Jack, the Oma is no one to fool with - he's referencing the Chiffon margarine slogan "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature". This is a good episode for setting up quite a few things to come. But it's also a very dark episode - but I can't say why. Yet. It also introduces us to a new musical score - that's one of my favorites. Things I never forget: If you immediately know the candlelight is fire, the meal was cooked a long time ago. And: Daniel. Shoes.
Having watched your Expanse reactions way back when I was surprised you didnt recognize the "monk" was Prax from The Expanse. or i may have missed if u did lol, but, that actor has done a lot but i always think of his stargate and expanse rolls, he did a great job! Keep up the great stuff my dude!
3:29 - Nahid: "Master, Master" 🎶 "Master of Puppets, I'm pulling your strings. Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams. Blinded by me, you can't see a thing. Just call my name and I'll hear you scream" 🎶 3:29 - Nahid: "Master, Master"

And so it begins...
This will always be one of my favorites. "Put no barriers between you and where you are." I believe he wants us to remove our shoes. Brilliant.

"…these *alien* beings." I wouldn't hang your hat on that idea so much.

This is going to be worthy going forward. Also, the music gets me every time. Great score.
Great reaction and can't wait for future episodes!
“If you Immediately know the candle light is fire, then the meal was cooked along time ago.”
All I can say is this is the beginning of an excellent and very long arc.
Oma is far more important than you might think
Stargate 😍
