Annette was every male teenager's dream from 1955 to mid-sixties. I had her pictures all over my room, I wrote little stories with "Annette", she was the perrenial "purest" teenage love. Even her beach movies were filled with a lot of respect between her and Frankie. The world was simpler, safer and more innocent then ... right before Vietnam escalation... Thank you for this great song by my "first" love. L

It's one of my Favorite ANNETTE songs too - I like the LP version more than the movie version where they added way too much Echo and reverb that wasn't necessary - ANNETTE was and is truly one of kind and no matter what happens she will never be forgotten.

Walt Disney had no idea how much potential Annette had, the studio physically 'confined' her looks so as not to damage her Disney image.
After leaving Disney, the rest IS history!.
In person, in movies, in everything, Annette Funicello is unique.
A Lady, (always), a fine artist and performer, simply put, (with the highest admiration, and 'thank you), you are 'class', with a capitol 'C'.

She had a minor thinning of the nose in 1960, when she was around 18 or so. That is why in earlier photos, when she was in her younger teens, her nose is just a tad wider, but she was still a very cute girl, with an Italian nose. I think the nose job made a very minor difference in her case, she never went wild with cosmetic surgery. Of course, in more recent years she's faced many medical challenges that I wish she never had to...
