I wish my child had met you and heard your story, what you are doing is beautiful, anyone listening can hear your sincerity and feel the love you give to others

Watching you read that letter emotionally, being touched by someone you touched, is really something special. A confirmation of genuine concern.

Roland...thanks for sharing this! I bring my classes down to Attica once or twice a year (unless a pandemic of course!) for your Youth Assistance Program. I love giving my students a chance to talk with you guys and learn more about our justice system and life behind bars. Mental health issues seem to be growing all the time...I will definitely share this talk with my Sociology/Psychology classes and hopefully it will have an impact like I'm sure it has many times already. Thanks for giving your time to help others! Appreciate you!

This was soooo beautiful!! You are a beautiful soul!! Thank you for sharing. (I'm still wiping away the tears.) I am so very sad for what your mother did to you but also extremely happy that you have turned this around for yourself and now you share it with the world!! I only happened upon this because I was looking for a song that a woman shares that is incredibly beautiful. I happened upon this because my depression is bad lately and the angels brought me to your page is what is is!! So, thank you, for your incredible, awesome conference. It was perfect timing as I have been trying to turn myself around as well since thus morning.
I wish nothing but many years of happiness and health for you and your entire family.
Take good care. (accidentally typed "dare"....interesting. Like dare to live and find my purpose.
Much love to u and yours.
    LilyM 💜🌹

If I lived in America and had the lack of freedom that no labor laws, no healthcare, no welfare state and no real opportunities I too would have no hope. I'm glad people find the inner strength but it's a very sick society that stacks the odds against you so heavily and then makes you feel responsible for that.

This doesn't really advise people how to find hope, so much as share stories of people who were going to commit suicide, then didn't. I mean... that's nice for them?
The end of the video, he reminds us all that we have a heartbeat, and therefore life is worth living because we all have a purpose. Literally every animal has a heartbeat. Serial killers have heartbeats. What does that have to do with hope or purpose?

I’m sorry you’re hurting so much. I know this is an old response by UA-cam standards. But I just wanted you to know someone read it and cared about how you were feeling when you wrote it.

I hate these type of talks because you finding your way to better life has nothing to do with anybody else trying to do that. Good for you, but you can't help me with my journey at all.
