Well I think that you should reconsider the fact that many new strains of the cause that worsened 2020 are being created, and I don’t think that it will embrace 2021 with hope; But still, I wish to.

    My note over the lecture:
    i. It is not what happens to you, but how you choose to react to it, that matters.
ii. Response with the power of hope.
iii. I'm getting ready to die and I've never even lived.
iv. I begged God for a second chance.
    v. Hope is the belief that your future can be better and brighter and that you actually play a role in making it better.
vi. With your current situation and current limitation, what's that path?
vii. Instead of focusing on what you can't do, focus on what you can.
viii. The simple exercise of what you can asking yourself, if I had a magic wand, what would I do with my current situation and current limitation.
ix. The best way to react and respond in this life is to respond with the power of hope.

Hope is not exactly an enemy, but more like a hinderance to understanding reality.
Instead of putting faith into ‘hope’ for a better outcome, we all need to ask yourselves, ‘Where am I?’ What could I do to improve the situation?’ and ‘What are the risks and benefits associated with each maneuver?’
There isn’t a magic wand...there is however random chance...and we forget that we have much better odds just by living in North America.
if we want a better World, an evangelical motivational talk is not going to do the trick.
In the 21st-century, we must start paying more attention to reality, the reality of the environment, the reality of the importance of energy, and the reality of just how simple our brains are to being tricked into thinking that we are something divinely magical.
It’s great that she made it out from under the rubble of a bomb blast... but there are hundreds of millions, if not billions of people in history that have not survived bomb blasts.
humans are incredibly naïve if they think they can magically will themselves into a better life on earth... or into a enlightened afterlife!

I quit listening at 8:52 in, I just couldn't take it. It is heart breaking to hear that there were kids in the building and they were searching for them and she makes the joke of wanting to say I'm 2, she even makes a comment of not even getting to live her life. I know she was in a terrible situation but those comments made her sounds selfish and cruel.
