Great review, Si. I've had my 2017 model for four months. It's my first bike bought second hand after passing the bike test in April. A forty year itch finally scratched. I absolutely love the bike. It is everything I wanted in a motorcycle, style, power, poise and quality. Obviously I have nothing to compare it but I cannot fault the Bonneville in any way. I use it most days from nipping to the shops to a 120 miler around the quieter roads of Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. I'm hoping to get a camping trip in on it before the end of September. I imagine this will be my 'forever' bike as I just can't see past it.

Bought the same bike this year! Your video was one of the many I enjoyed watching leading up to it so thank you. Didn't even test ride it first (there were none available at the time locally) I knew from all the reviews how good it was going to be. Also this is my 5th bike and have come from big adventure tourers (R1200 GS, VStrom 650/1000XT...) so glad to get back to the raw pleasure of riding experience and grin factor. Don't even miss the screens, happy on the freeway up to 120ks and the wind is fine, I even like it. Totally accurate review thanks!

I've got a 2017 T120 in silver with the red stripes which is what I was riding the day we saw you outside West Coast Harley the other week when we popped in with my Son's Softail Heritage. Back home in Worcestershire now after a 1500 miles in a week trip up to Scotland I can tell you that you can definitely tour on it. I got rid of a CBF1000 and a CB500x to get the Bonneville and it was without doubt the best decision ever. It's no sportsbike that's for sure but that effortless power is fantastic for real world riding and it just feels so planted in the corners. I don't know if it's the tyres but one small criticism I have is that it does tend to tramline a bit on road imperfections but never gets out of shape but mine is on the Pirelli Phantoms which may be the issue. It is a joy to ride on A and B roads and on the Motorway it sits at 70 at 3100 rpm just thrumming away without effort. It has just enough character to feel like a motorbike and the quality just makes it feel special every time I get on it. As you say it attracts people to come and talk about it everywhere you go and I can't walk away from it without looking back at it.

I bought T120 black (new) in January when I started my motorbike course in Poland. This is my first bike ever so I have nothing to compare with, but each of almost 6K kilometers was pure enjoy! I use it as a daily rider and for longer trips - 600km is not a problem. Very comfy, a lot of torque, and that style that would never get bored. Pure classic in modern suit :)

Yes, great bike. I’ve had two in the past. If you don’t need something as big, heavy, or expensive, i can recommend the 2023 Speed Twin 900 “Bonneville”. (Bonneville is a generic term really).

I enjoyed your review. I own a 2020 model (along with a 2022 Tiger 850 sport). After 8000 miles i can say that the only thing about the t120 I really dislike is that it has tube type wheels. Two punctures in a 20 mile stretch soured me. Give me tubeless any day so I can plug a puncture to get back home!

A grand bike for sure ,but I like a bit of colour and chrome myself , that's not to say that Black Bonnevilles Don't Matter though .
You can do everything on a Bonnie if you want to , but the lack of weather protection is a big factor for me in my cold climate . You mentioned the classic Bonnies , they are the best looking , slim , lithe and competition winners in their day , which modern Bonnies are not .
If a 1968 Bonnie was your girlfriend , the 2023 Bonnie would be her chubby [but still attractive ] young auntie .
    Thanks for another great video.

I also have the T120 2022 model, what tires do you have on yours. I’ve clocked in over 8k miles in just a year since my purchase. Just replaced the rear tire with a Michelin Road 6, still running the original Pirelli on the front tire. I will be changing it out soon, looking at the Michelin Road Classic for the front, the Road 6 does not fit the front tire.

My old bmw r75/ had a drum brake 48 years ago!! I recently saw a 2023 suzuki boulevard with a drum rear brake, so I guess they still work.

Don't get me wrong, safety is a necessary evil with the traffic and roads the way they are. I like my bikes to look bikey, even though i love the retro mods, i would rather buy an original Bonneville or an M21 an such. ;)

@@tonedcos being 66 yrs old I like the old models to but the old Bonnie's, Norton, bsa, shovelheads were atrocious to ride, back then we had nothing to compare them to. High speed wobble, slow me down brakes, oil leaking everywhere, chain rattling, still love them , good now for a quiet backroad but forget riding them in today's traffic, pure suicide lol
