Nice bake mate
Beautiful, but yeah they do get cooler and sound much cooler. Specifically, see the Harley XLCR (cafe racer) ridden by Michael Douglas in the opening scene of the legendary movie “Black Rain”. And did I say they are wicked fast and torquey? Loved mine!
That's right, I do believe that's true 8:08 because the idea that you have to keep your knee out just... Thanks for saying that you're the hero of Truth. Your humble but still wun-up on the majority of us.
You don't have to change gears
You’re one of the main videos that sold me on it. I should have it within 2 weeks. I’m getting the exact colour one you have. Thank you.
No one ever notices that these look very much like the old Harley XLCR.
Nice review and a lovely bike spoilt with a truly awful paint job, i dont know who came with it but there is no way on earth I'd pay extra or even the standard price for that.
Fair enough Colin lol, I was a bit meh with some of the stealth colour schemes but this one I thought looked ok 👍🏻
@@simotofotoyes I prefer a classic paint job on a classic bike, watching every review on these and T120 as I quite fancy one myself. Cheers.
Did you get one. Great bike.
Not yet bud still on the hunt :)
@ i hear ya. The hunt in itself can be exhilarating. Good luck. And no rush.
I envy. Myself. That I owe one😉🤣
Nice one, absolutely brilliant bike.
Oh bugger... My wife isnt going to be pleased when i splash out on this ...
Haha do it do it do it
Yeah I’ve got a gs and the rally explorer to me they both have good and bad points as you pointed out the gear change is definitely more smoother on the tiger but is definitely top heavy when fully loaded with gear the only other couple of problems is the day light stays on when you have dipped beam on and the menu select button should be moved to the other side from the indicator button the back light on the buttons is a very good thing in the dark don’t know why other manufacturers don’t adopt this idea and the fuel range with the 30 litre is fantastic
Cheers for sharing your insight here bud it's much appreciated from an actual owners perspective. Merry Xmas :)
It looks great (other than the Fischer Price cockpit design). But I would go for a CBR650R over it. Same price and definitely feels more premium IMO.
Nice one Bachs, the Honda is a fantastic bike :)
😊😊
Cheers Delinda :)
How tall are you? How much do you weigh? Bike looks like it was made for you & a person your size.
Hey dude thanks, i'm 6 foot and 18 stone :)
How is the Speedmaster with a passenger aboard? I know it's smaller than the classic Harley and BMW cruisers.
Hey Jeffrey i've never carried a passenger on board the Speedy hopefully someone in the comments can help :)
Hi si you sold me a triumph gt low nice bike but not for me doing 200miles a fortnight so I traded it for a speed twin 1200 stealth wal much more me lovely machine came from sports bikes and time for me to calm down best decision hope your well cheers davie
Hey Davie I remember it well, hope you enjoy the Speed Twin bro, its puts a smile on my face every time I throw a leg over, its a hoot to ride. Have a great Christmas bro
L O V E this bike! A bike for the road but can still go to a track. The torque makes it a joy to ride. The power is in the right spot
Couldn’t agree more Paul ✌🏻
My god. The accent is so thick, like he has got food in his mouth he did not swallow yet.
Very nice review... just rode my two bikes for the last seasons ride here in Minnesota, USA. 28 DEGREES and I was the only bike on the highways. I will ride till the salt and snow. thanks for this report. may buy this machine as a third bike.
Nice one cheers Joe ✌🏻
Not inspired whatsoever to have one of these over my 1250. Its a very expensive "upgrade" of a bike that is still brilliant. And personally I just cant get past the looks ( some videos have taken to stating the looks dont really matter.... they do for me !), it is dreadful.
@@GPR111 fair enough dude ✌🏻
You would be more suited to the 1200X with 820 mm seat height or the 1200XE. I'm 5'7" 65 kgs so this bike felt perfect for me. I could get my toe section on both sides on the ground & could probably flat foot on 1 side.
very true Frank but I much prefer the ride of the 900 :)
@@simotofoto I've jsut ridden a 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler. Only done 7,000 km-like new & never been off road. Has a pannier bag for touring. Royal enfield have the new Bear 650 scrambler coming out which would be about the same money but brand new. Only advantage of the Bear 650 is the Low up swept pipe means you can carry luggage on both sides & gets heat/noise away from pillion. ALso it's 216 kg so little less weight but has an 830 mm seat height. I've had Himalayan's & presently have a meteor 350. Himalayan 200 kg on weigh bridge & Meteor 350 190 kg on weigh bridge but both felt heavy & my Meteor you certainly notice the weight as it must carry it high up. The triumph on the other had is slightly heavier than the Bear 650 but didn't feel as heavy to me & felt really well balanced. On my test ride I even got up on the pegs which felt comfortable. I like to do lite off road to explore with 1 or 2 river crossings. I'm nervous about the Bear 650 due to reputation of Royal Enfield of where they carry the weight. Also if I got this bike & I was doing a river crossing would you recommend leaving abs & traction control on or turning it off through off road mode?
@@frankpinion4937 hey Frank if im tackling off road I switch all the electronics off to be honest, if there is a dedicated off road pro mode on a bike then fine, other than that its all off, :)
Thanks Simon for a great review. It was so good, so convincing I went out and bought a 2025 model GT pro today from Two Wheels Edinburgh today. Cannot wait for it to arrive and for me to start riding it. Hopefully see you out there some day👍😂
Nice one Geordie, great bike the 900 and the sound it makes is epic :)
I am a 1250gsa owner, bought it the day it came to the dealer. Now I had my day on the 1300 with ASA and even while I vowed to not buy another one, at 67 I bought the rally version. What an improvement on an already great machine.
Good choice, love the silver grids on top of the tank fairings compared to the black plastic ones, so much nicer :) enjoy your new bike dude :)
Excellent review.
Thanks for watching
crack'n good video. if your enthusiasm was any greater, my lap top would be tearing. Thanks, mate !
Haha glad you enjoyed it, i do get a tad excited lol
Hi Si great real world review. So thanks for that. Id already decided to trade in my 1250 GSA to the 1300 GSA but wasn’t convinced about the ASA. But ive decided to rethink. How was the engine breaking ? Find I like that on the 1250 and did yourself reaching for the clutch out of muscle memory at low speeds. The measure of low speed stress is the green wellie parking on a busy day!! 😂
Glad it was helpful Jeremy, engine breaking must have been the same as the 1250 as I wasn't really conscious of it being any different. I wasn't reaching for the clutch at all to be honest but in under emergency conditions that might be different lol. I'm with you regarding Green Welly parking lol under the spotlight big time lol
Honda Monkey is the most charmingly crafted! 😊🤗❤
Couldn't agree more :)
I had a first generation Speedy (2003). Sold it to a friend. Wish I hadn’t.
Aww man, get another lol
@ I would, if I could afford it. I do have a ‘17 T120, though.
Fantastic video Si! ❤ Passed you and Greg in Muirkirk on Sunday when I was heading back from Moffat to Killie in my car
Ha awesome, it was bloody freezing lol, we both had a bawl though all the same, rumour has it your coming out on the next one as celebrity guest :)
@@simotofoto Aye …once the temperature rises a few degrees 😃
😂😂😂😂
The information you give is vital for a potential buyer. you sound like you genuinely liked the bike. I am looking for a bike to replace my Honda CBF600SA which is brilliant, but getting long in the tooth. I want a bike which has accesable power and a bit of touring capability with a bit of a fairing. (An allrounder).I'll test this Susuki now for sure in hope it suits me too and let you know if I buy it!
came for the bike, stayed for the accent! rock on brother
Hahaha awesome bro lol
Great review! It's a good looking bike and an interesting entry into the middleweight category. I chose a Honda Cbr650r over this. Happy with my choice.
Good choice another great bike :)
At last, a review that tells us how the suspension damping fairs with a goodly sized chap on board. Great video Si, an interesting change from your usual brand!
Glad you enjoyed it and love the goodly sized chap comment that has made my day :)
@simotofoto 😆
Drone footage is brilliant mate great scenery ✌🏻
Cheers :)
Need a shot of this bike
Its great fun mate, love the power delivery from the punchy twin :)
Great review as always Si, the guys at MCS are brilliant and glad they are now Suzuki dealers 👍🏻
Couldn't agree more!
Cheers...👌👌👌
Love this bike, red wheels look amazing.
The red wheels really finish the bike off
Nice review, try and see if you could get a hold of the GXS S1000GX. Would be looking forward to see that review
I will try :)
Opening scene? What's the name of that loch/reservoir....

Nice one Si, you know it ain't for me, but always good to get honest reviews.
Cheers Togs :)
Great video yet again :)
Thanks Dave glad you enjoyed it, Si
Ur english is very weird . Funy hhhhh

Lovely bike and not too expensive, great job bud.
Thanks Roddy 👍
Brilliant video bud!
Thanks Barry glad you enjoyed it :)

Get rid of this junk
Hahaha nice one
Great bike it is.
I think so too!
I think he's saying that he likes the bike. I think.
