If you plow it in the fall and let the ground go through the winter freeze you'll find that the dirt will do much better, it'll work up like sand. Or it does in Kentucky.
I have the ST/16 with all the tools for the garden. It appears that the coulter is not low enough on the plow. It should do the verticle cutting while the plowshare does the horizontal cut. Also your depth for most garden plants should be at least 6 inches. It is good to see these old tractors in action.
Thank you for getting back to me so soon, I want to subscribe to your videos but I don’t see a subscribe button, thanks again, love your tractor. So you don’t think it’s anything major?
I don't think i have any control over the subscribe button, I wish i did. Id get ya one asap lol I don't think so, I wouldn't be scared of it, if it's dried up, it's not active. Clean it up, get it running and watch for fresh oil, and then fix accordingly. Every one i bring back to life i run at 1/3 throttle for a while and just listen and watch, these old units will tell you what they need. Cant wait to hear about it running and your journey to attachment hunting!
Any idea where the leak is, I want to buy one like yours for $200 but the frame has a lot of dry oil on the frame, and it doesn’t run, please help, love your videos
Mine is leaking out of the fuel pump gasket, not all of them have a fuel pump, so its not always an issue. 200$ is a good deal, even if you have to clean it up and possibly change gaskets. Definitely go get it. Thanks for the view and the comment, I'm actually planning to make a couple vids soon, as I've had some developments in my hobby and finally have time to make content again!
Hi Matt, I don’t know if you would give me your email address, I want to send you a picture of the tractor with the leak so you can tell me what you think, thanks,Lenny
Awesome little garden tractor!!!
Thanks! I enjoy using it!
I agree there’s nothing cooler than working these old horses like our fore fathers did! Great video sir!
Best to till after plowing. the harrow doesn't really do much, the tractor compacts the soil more than the harrow can loosen it.

Nice job. I have 12 garden tractors, of various makes, and many attachments.
Nice!!! When I disc, I go at an angel. Don't make the ride any smother but seems to fill in and break up the clumps better. Just my experience.
Doc
those were good tractors.a young friend of mine has one.

As far as I’ve seen, a sears tractor is the only thing I’ve seen that uses belts that doesn’t throw them or rip them within 15 minutes of pulling
Sadly I have no place to till or put in a garden where I'm at. oh well maybe one day
Good choice in tractor👍 I have a couple dozen sears myself, drop by my channel and check it out if you want
