      But my grandparents are from erzurum, and erzurum dialect literally sound the same as azerbaijan turkish, so i can shift to azerbaijan language whenever i feel like😂

    Ğ is a soft Ğ in Turkey. You sounded like an Azerbaijani or maybe central Asian Turk having a a stroke in the end hahahaha (Azerbaijanis are also Turk)
    You kinda got some of it right. Also Oğlu, pronunciation was close but we don't actually pronounce the g it's in the background.
    Büdün, Baran, Banu are actually real words lol

      They are very very similar, mainly because of the ottoman-Arabic/Persian words that we got. Other Turkic languages such as Mid asian languages (Kazakh,Uzbek,Turkmeni) are more preserved and contain more of the original Turkic phrases.

      @@PapitoChulito nope you are wrong. It is not istanbul Turkish. The original Turkish language is spoken with the frontal part of the mouth, and it doesnt have that kh sound from the throat. it doesnt matter whether it is istanbul or somewhere else.

    For God's sake, where did you hear Turkish people sound like that? This sounds much more like an ancient version of Turkish or a more Central Asian Turkic language than the "Istanbul Turkish".

      @@PapitoChulito I am not from Istanbul. In fact, I am from one of the furthest cities in Türkiye. My home city is Ardahan, which is in the Northeast part of the country, at the Georgian and Armenia border. However, "Istanbul Turkish" is *the* standard form of Turkish since Istanbul was the capital of the Ottoman Empire for centuries. When you say "Turkish" and "Turks", if you mean the Turkic language family and the Turkic people in general, I agree with you and already mentioned that in my comment. But I assume he meant the people from Turkey/Türkiye and the branch of Turkic languages we belong to. This is definitely not how we sound; you can confirm this through many other comments below.

    İndeed, Azerbaijani has a Kh. Turkish actually doesn't have a 'kh', but some people speak with an 'accent', where they just turn the K into a Kh sound. There are also some other letters that people pronounce differently bcs of that accent.
    Especially in villages it's very common. People who were raised in the city usually speak more formally without this accent. I myself often speak with this kind of 'rough' accent too.

    I see everyone commenting about the "KH" sound. It's true that it doesn't exist in modern Turkish today BUT it did at one point exist before the latinization of Turkish 100 years ago. And more importantly, the "KH" and other throaty sounds DO exist in original Turkic languages all across Central Asia + Caucasus + Iran by their speakers.

Turkish doesn't have any throat sounds, but every single city in turkiye has its own dialect. So actually central anatolians have some throat sounding dialects. But if you really listen to turkish, and especially istanbul turkish, it doesnt have any dialects and hard pronouncing words.

    as a turkish person, the only semi correct part about this was the “cha” / “ça” part. but if we’re going based on letters in the language that english doesnt have, there’s also sh/ş, ğ, ü, ö,ı. try those if you can lmao. good luck with ğ especially ✌️

    You'd find the KH sound in Azerbaijani and Kazakh. Turkish unfortunately doesn't have it, or rather Istanbul Turkish. Turkish and Kurdish village people however still use it.

    If you're going to speak the regular Turkish accent (Istanbul Turkish), you don't need any throat sounds. It's traditional.

      Buddy regular Turkish accent is not Istanbul. God I hate how u guys think turkey revolves around Istanbul. U guys represent maybe 10-15% of turkey. Go outside of Istanbul for once and go to the heart of turkey (central Anatolia) u will find authentic Turkish speakers there.
