My landlord put me rent up 200 pound to 1000 pound a month and with the rise of the cost of living has put me in the red with my income. What a joke this country has become. Im totally fucked now as a single person and have now got a ccj because its impossible for me to maintain my bills. Proving difficult to rent elsewhere with that on my credit report. Went through fucking hell fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and NI for what to end up on the streets. Shame on you government
TOP TIP: You can erase a CCJ from you credit file if you pay the CCJ off in full and let the court know through the proper routes that you have paid it but only if you do so within 4 weeks
'No choice but to issue a possession order'. Is that just in the private sector. Council properties you certainly were not guaranteed a Possession order on 2 months or more.
Can't landlords escalate this to high court then the sheriffs can turn up and immediately evict you? Known countless people who were wrongly advised by housing departments there was time, only to be evicted quickly via this method? What are your thoughts on this please?
How about follow the law,and not delay rent or think one can pay the same, year after year ? How about move? How come people think they can stop paying rent ? And why support people who destroy landlords who themself have loans and taxes to pay? From my point of wiew, thos is like telling people to bankerupt landlords and get away with not paying what they ow. What next? Advice on how go dine for free /let other pay it?
'Landlords' cant just throw you out onto the Street' YES THAY CAN ! ( Private Landlords ) .. If they change the locks, the Police will turn up and say 'It's a Civil Matter, nothing they can do' FACT ... ( Unless a Proper Housing Association / Council Property etc ) and you will be left on the street . If you want to then take Landlord to Court, Unless you have about £50,000 in your back pocket whilst Homeless ( For Legal fees / Court Costs etc ) ... Any Landlord, Can throw anyone out without ANY COMEBACK - FACT ( Save for the above ) ... I want the Law changed on this, but don't know how to go about it
I’m a landlord, it’s illegal to change the locks without a court order. Obviously it’s morally wrong as well. A landlord can go to prison for this. If it happens, best to go to the council with some ID and explain the situation to see what can be done about it. You should get housed so at least you’re not left on the street. Best solution though is to prevent the problem before it happens. If you’re low on money all the time consider moving to somewhere cheaper, maybe council owned if possible. I do think the intentionally homeless thing causes a problem with this as you basically have to be evicted before the council will house you. You should be able to go to them, say you want a house with your finances and they will see that pretty soon you won’t be able to afford where you live and actively help rather than wait until you get evicted. It just means the landlords have to deal with the risk of this happening and the rent areas and the tenants have to deal with the stress. Not to mention that that risk the landlords have to take will be absorbed into how much rent they charge.
@@jonp6798 This is wrong information Mr Landlord... I'm speaking from experience.... Council will send you 200 miles away.. Landlord, has no comeback... Police will say its a civil matter FACT.... There is no recourse for Landlord... No one will prosecute... FACT... Unless the evicted person has a spare £50,000 to pay for claim ( if you can even find a solicitor who wants to take on 'Illegal Evictions') Changing the locks had no effect on Landlord... No comeback whatsoever

Pay ,like everybody else . Dont expect landlords go pay you living for free.
@@TG-hp8og Maybe the landlords should pay their own mortgages then instead of leeching off renters?

Thing is they can throw you out but they have to go through the long winded legal procedure before that happens.

Pay your rents , ignorants.
Pay your bloody rent arrears. Obvs.
To all Landlords, just serve a “Section 21”…..job done.
Not all landlords have a licence so that voids it my landlord tried that one twice !
