I realise that an operator must offer reimbursement or an alternate flight - no one advises on how to get them to transfer me on to that flight! A case of ‘if we don’t offer, you won’t know or ask’?
Daniel, could you advise on this scenario please? We are caught up in the BA cancellation wave for August. Due to depart Belfast via Heathrow to Stockholm. BA is the end to end carrier and we booked directly flights only. They are now cancelling the Belfast leg for the days ahead, however they are showing our flight is still planned (we know it will be cancelled, logically). BA are refusing to cancel the flight officially or update us, pushing all our alternative options to the very last minute. I assume they are hoping we will cancel so they don't have to pay out in full. I suppose the question is this. If our flight is cancelled, but we do not check in at the airport will we still receive a refund and compensation? Second part, do you believe presently, it is likely BA will cancel by the 2 week point? Many Thanks in advance and thanks for this video a great help. Dave
If the domestic connection portion of your international flight is cancelled, and you miss the last leg of your trip, does the Montreal Convention apply? JAX to MIA to CUN Never made it to MIA due to mechanical issues with the plane in JAX. We almost missed our honeymoon and were left stranded. Eventually had to come out of pocket and book with Delta to arrive in CUN on time.
Hi Daniel, thank you for the video, very useful ! I have a question though, most of the regulations stated are for European airlines, is that correct ? Do American Airlines such as United or Delta for instance fall under the Montreal convention of 1999 for losses ensued by a cancellation ? I seem to have read somewhere that that wasn’t the case and the reason why travel insurances in the US is still very important ..
Thanks for your video Daniel, Could you please advise on this Scenario, please? Part of our flight was cancelled by BA and we were not aware of the cancellation. This Cancellation caused us denied on board and we had to pay another $7.5k to fly to UK. Please help
Will the cost of my hotel at my destination be re-imbursed if they fail to get me to my destination with re-routing within the timeframe you explained?
Everyone's asking what are my rights but no one asks *how* are my rights

If your taxi is late, or bus they don’t give compensation, why airlines?
because you can plan ahead and leave your home early
They will regret cancelling your flight 😆
