Love it! I’m a bit struggling with the Inktense. Wanted to use it for backgrounds but the pencils are intense to use for my hands.
The color of the bow is Poppy red. That’s red-orange color in the set. There is also Flame, but that is very orange.
Thank you! I love using the Inktense blocks for backgrounds! I use them like watercolor pans! They are great for large areas and much easier on the hands.
The bow isn't Poppy red, I don't have that pencil anymore because it's not as lightfast, so I donated it. Though, I can see how it would look that way on camera. I just looked at my stash again and it's either Scarlett Pink or Mid Vermillion. I think I used both in this illustration.

Haha, yeah, I need to do a no buy soon too. At least with art supplies and stuff. With the holidays coming, I have plenty of other things I need to spend my money on!
Shana, your picture is amazing, I absolutely LOVE it!!! It would be too difficult for me to pick which element of the picture that I like the best. Fall has always been my favorite time of the year and the 1st Halloween costume that I wore, was a Witch. I love Halloween and all the decorations that go along with it. I have my art room decorated with Halloween items in it and it's going to stay that way year round, lol! Yes, please do more of the wreath inspired pictures, but on the smooth side of your sketchbook. Poor little Leo is missing his buddy Gus, that's so sad. Maybe Leo can bring Luna out of his skittishness and they can become better buddies.
Thank you so much, Cheryl! Fall is my absolute favorite, too! I love the colors, smells, and flavors. I also love all things spooky, especially witches! Thankfully, Leo and Luna are really close. I think Luna may have come from a cat colony at some point because she loves other cats. She's just really timid with people. So, thankfully, she had him to keep her company and vice versa. Leo, on the other hand, loves everybody, cats, dogs, and humans alike! 💖
@@CautionArtistatPlay I'm so glad that Leo and Luna get along together, they'll need each other now. A lot of people don't realize that pets grieve when they lose a member of the family, whether human or animal, but they do. I know what you mean with the Fall colors, smells and flavors. I used to live going to an apple orchard where they would serve hot apple cider, along with fresh made donuts (plain, powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar mix). You could smell that place before you got to it! I dressed up as a Salem Witch at work before the pandemic. I did the makeup on my neck to look like a rope burn, like I'd been hung and had a rope dangling from around my neck. By the end of the day though, my neck was sore from the scratchy rope and almost looked like a real rope burn, lol!
@cheryl6716 I can definitely see a difference in my pets that are still jere when we have lost one. It makes things even sadder. I'm actually getting ready to drink some cider now!! That witch costume sounds amazing!!
@@CautionArtistatPlay I know, it's so sad to see your pets grieving. Years ago, my Siamese cat got out of the house and got run over and my other cat was in the window sill just wailing over him, it was heartbreaking. I must have done a really good job on my makeup and costume because my boss and other people didn't know who I was, until after I spoke to them, lol! I bought a cheap black dress from Amazon and a black satin Witches hat from Walmart that had a black lace veil that would hang in the front of your face. When I lifted the lace veil up, I had macabre makeup on to look dead.
That's so devastating. Poor kitty. I wish I had been able to see that costume! I dressed up like a witch for a party I threw a few years ago. I found a dress that looked fairly authentic (for a costume) and loved it. I want to wear it again this year and get one that matches fairly well for my chihuahua mix, Maisie! She's the first girl dog I have ever had and she doesn't mind wearing clothes, so I thought it would be fun. I wanted to get Gus a warlock costume, too.

Yeah, I agree! It definitely didn't end up as spooky as I originally planned, LOL! But I am happy with the direction it went in! Thank you Marion, it's been a tough week without our Gussie boy.
