It seems like the 250 has a lot more issues than the 150, but it looks like a lot of guys are using the 250. What's the big benefit to the 250? Thanks for taking the time to make these videos, they are very helpful. All the manufacturers and dealers want to do is make a sale, the experience of the end user is not their main concern. I mean if I need to buy a spare belt and axle with a new machine, then just tell me that and put it in the order.
I have the eco 50. its been a learning experience with product selection. Dried SIFTED material is best. High moisture compose doesn't spread, it sticks to belts, chutes, spinner etc I had to adjust everything, it wasn't set up correctly. I drilled a two inch hole in the belt guard so the compost could fall out. I had an old jd lawn tractor to pull it, not fast enough. My ferris z2 is much better pulling it. I built a plywood funnel on to not to increase capacity but to get less spillage from the tractor bucket. No issues with the bottom belt bulging yet.
I really like your DIY improvements to the machine. I bought the Eco-250 used from a compost company in Houston and the biggest problem I have been having is dialing in the tracking of the conveyor belt. I only use the machine once or twice a year to topdress sand on my lawn. I would love to know if you have any tricks to replace the spinner drive-belt. My belt broke and I have the entire machine torn apart to route the new belt.
When Ecolawn makes all your modifications standard I hope they send you a thank you note with a check.
Man thats a list for such an expensive machine... been looking for one but thats alot of changes needed....

Thanks for the advice also the trailer got me interested when you said it has 19.5 wheels on it. I didn’t know that can even be done. Interesting.

How did you fix the dirt from going under the belt?
How difficult is it to change the belt?
