Hi ! I made the same test, but after about 2 years on many cap and ball I own. On all my colts 1851 44 cal, no issues and 100% of shots were fired. On one Remington 1858 in 44 cal, all shots were fired, but 2 out of 6, I noticed they were not as loud as the other 4 (exact same powder charge).
