good news people...PXG has a huge sale on....till at least June 1st.....50% to 65 % off....worth a look see...thought i would pass this on.....i ordered mine and can't wait UPDATE : JANUARY 5TH 2022...... they are currently 165 canadian per club ( 130 US )...cheers all
Always so many haters with the price aspect. I don’t complain that there are houses and cars I can’t afford. There are luxury brands all over the place be it watches, shoes and handbags. What does it matter. Buy what you want if you can afford it. You can’t buy a game for sure but you’d be an idiot buying any clubs thinking they’re gonna turn you into a pro
I hit my gen 3 today for the first time . Outstanding . My gen 6 will arrive Monday . Selling my T AP 2 and my Ping 425 . But will keep my Ping grind wedges
I bought the P model. Best irons on the market for me. Wasn’t even close. Yeah you could drive a Toyota or a Mercedes. Arguably the Toyota will last longer, but it’s not a Mercedes. Same here. It’s a better product, but it’s forged and not as hard as a cast club that will last longer. I don’t think any other manufacturer has a product as good. Of course if you’re near perfect you can play less forgiving Forged irons. There’s plenty of those out there. I’d start with the Callaway Apex Pro, but it’s not as forgiving as these.
What is that annoying beeping? Great review btw :) I got fitted last week for Gen 3 and agree with sound and feel, lets hope they live up to the hype with performance once they arrive mid April
I agree with your comments having been for a fitting with them and tried them out against many other brands including my current apex. Price point is incredibly high but much lower in the states and discounted now though an up charge for a good graphite shaft like the kbs max which I am surprised about. Lovely feel and I also found a real consistency on all shots - only tried the xp and p (much preferred latter). Have previously tried many forged clubs and had them too (like the p760, mizuno and more - never had the chance being a lefty to really try the Muiras at similar price point). I would say for me at least still too pricey but agree that they were the best irons to date that I have tried.
£3000 for a set of irons - I can get a set of custom build Ping i210s with a really fancy shaft for 1/2 that price, or the same Ping's off the rack for a 1/4 of that price. The question is will the extra deliver more performance. I would argue that the jump from off the rack to custom built does but for a golfer to really appreciate the difference between the custom built Pings and PXG at twice the price, the golfer would need to be really good, low single figure HC player. After saying that if I won the lottery I would be very tempted, unlike others I like the industrial design look because I know it has a function.
If they’re that good, why aren’t more pros using them? I’ve seen a few play them, but none of the top players. I’m asking out of curiosity, not to cause smoke...I like Mizuno irons and don’t see too many top players use them
ahastar1141 you would think with how much their clubs are, that they had a huge roster. Their clubs cost more than the P790s, APEX Pros, Cobra King Forged Tec, and Mizunos....
Robb Stone nah I mean pros get PXG levels of customization from any manufacturer. What PXG is doing is only really unique to the amateur golfer. I also think they need a higher margin because they move fewer sets per year
PXG clubs are hand built and fitted specifically to the player. Each club is built for the player’s specs. The tolerance is very specific and ensured by hand and by quality assurance checks. You get what you pay for.
@@ThomasThePoolBuilder Every manufacturer hand builds to your fitting. Have you seen the Mizuno process? If you get fitted at Golftec or at any place that does a thorough fitting this is done, and you pay a lot less. PXG is even more expensive than Miura, Honma, Yonex, or Xxio, and with them you don't get the ugly screws. Not saying PXG is no good, what I am saying is that even if they were priced along side high end Titleist nobody would care. I played with a doctor who said he had to buy one club per month for 6 months, 5 iron was his longest iron, because the price was so steep. Just sayin'.
This is like asking people if a lamborghini or a ferrari, or any luxury item is worth it. To those who are willing to pay for luxury and that level of attention to detail, sure. For the avg person, no way.
People are buying the brand of pxg, if you are a good player golf clubs have little effect. However, when you are terrible golfer, $3000 clubs can’t help you
All the haters posting negative comments about these clubs are just upset that they can’t afford them. You don’t really hate the clubs, you hate yourself for being a failure in life. Rich people like me buy these clubs because they are the best. Winners like me don’t care if losers hate on our clubs. Believe me, we know you would have them if you weren’t punching the clock for people like me.
@2222skinny...Mizuno makes a good club. I played Mizuno clubs exclusively for 10 years carrying a 1.8 handicap. Obviously you haven’t hit the Gen3 irons or you wouldn’t say they weren’t even close in feel. I assure you they are. They are the softest, purest irons I have ever hit with no loss in distance.
@Ian rushes Left foot...just another hater that is jealous of winners like me. Enjoy wallowing in your own self pity. Heaven forbid you get out in the world and make something of yourself. It’s much easier to sit in your dump and hate successful people who play expensive golf clubs you will never have.
You can’t afford them so no need to comment. I have sets of Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3. Best clubs on the market. No need to hate on the clubs because only rich people like me can buy them.
Wilson has some good iron models. I have the C200 model and they're long and launch high. I haven't gotten my pattern down yet, long left is the miss. The model wasn't new but the set was and I paid less than $300.00. Can't use their woods because the face looks so closed to me.
@@AUWDE5704 That's not a complaint. That's advice to people who dont want to flush their money down the toilet. these clubs are not an investment, they depreciate really bad. they are not like buying a house or a Ferrari. I myself just bought a set of Mizuno MP-55s that would kill any pxg for $220. I feel awesome. I dont mind you playing at your fancy country club, i will play public courses all day long, plus buy lunches, gas, drinks and go on vacation and still spend less in a year. sorry you are so bitter about a blue collar guy who enjoys golf. Trump 2020!
Arguably the ugliest looking irons on the market, and the answer is no club is worth £3k if you’re a good golfer you can hit anything, if you’re a bad golfer, £3k irons aren’t going to help, spend the money on lessons. Really don’t like all those screws in the clubhead.
You wonder if all those screws will be missing or loose after several years. At that price, I'll never know unless I happen to see it in the used rack.

They are £869 now in the UK 4-pw
too expensive?? thats your problem, not theirs...
Looks like a ping iron now when you look down on it. You can buy i210s for 699. But Im not gonna tell anyone how to spend their money. Good numbers.
No, That's Miura money.

@@ahastar1141 dead right PXG could not match the deals that the big boys have with taylormade
Anybody compare these to the new Callaway apex pro 21? I’m debating on the gen3T or apex pro 21 can’t try either out
Those are the sets I’m debating now. Any advice for me?
If you have the money and want strong lofts then they are worth it.
Definitely worth every penny. Period
Not sure why I’d spend this money when the previous version was compared to the Hot Metal 919 by the very respected TXG, at a fraction of the cost
No. They are hoping consumers with plenty of money will buy the notion that a more expensive product means it's a better product.
PXG headquartered in Arizona, and so am I, and I still say buy used. What's with the allen head screws? Make the clubs look cheap.

Price now for Gen 3 only $133 a club

not a chance, even if i had money to burn
You've never tried them then have you. It's the difference between driving a 20 year old honda vs a brand new mercedes
you're right... both get you to the same place and one has more character than the other.
Today they are £135/club! Same price as second hand Gen 2's? Just need to justify new clubs to the wife and hope they stay at that price...
Hopefully by now Woburn have replaced the tatty awning
