Phillips holds the patient is why I'm pretty sure they can't do reactive backlighting. But that could of changed as govee has been inching close as closer to Phillips patents.
I dont think they would know especially if you have the camera off (which it is by default) however they do not want the user to tamper or modify anything and to use the tv as intended
I'm surprised it was actually made. 😳 With their claim of a 'free' TV, I was thinking that they'd run their advertising platform themselves and offer these 'lucrative' and/or 'captive' advertising spots to advertising agencies (that advertisers would commission), as well as sell app button spaces on their remotes. However, it kinda looks to me that their use of a regular Google Ads square spot may be temporary.
I wouldnt even want to be in the same room as this TV let alone get one. I would rather buy a BFGD and not deal with any smart TV junk than reciece a free tv that spies on me. Yes a BFGD cannot spy on you because its a dumb monitor.
your tv is spying on you right now its collecting data right now so isnt anything "smart" in your home. this just happens to be the only company that is willing to be transparent about it and turn it into a business model that isnt completely one sided. why is this so hard for people to wrap their heads around?
even if it was connected to the internet my tv has no mic of any kind and can't spy on conversations. either way a BFGD cannot spy on you because it cannot connect to the internet whatsoever. it's a large computer monitor.
@@admiralkaede not just me getting one, I don't want to be in the same room as one. I would be that asshole that makes you unplug it before I walk in the room.
I was sold one without knowing what the hell telly is is their any hope of registering it to me please tell me I didn’t waste money other then buying a free damn tv…
what is it "spying" on? where do i have it? am i still using it? do i even still have it? the very thing you are using to type this is tracking what you buy. live your own life. wtf are you even here if you are so against it?

Is there anything in the contract preventing you from covering the ad screen? And Is there anyway it would know?

u can turn off the 2nd screen u have to hold the power button for like 5 seconds then both screens will turn off
Does it have to be on 24/7?
no it does not
Question when did you apply for this and how long did it take you to receive?
i forget when i applied but it was around when they first started advertising about it and i got it a couple days before i uploaded this video
Do you know what happens if you use a global adblocker like Pihole?
U owe money, the ads pay for it.
I been waiting for months and haven't heard back.
el ascensor si funciona pero la pantalla dice android tv
So is this television honestly free ?
Yes but technically you dont own it.

So you can just cover it
Sounds like this thing is trash. What happens if you just take a piece of dark material and cover the second screen?
why are you wasting your time commenting twice on something that is trash and spies on you?
u may have to return it
So your attitude is that it’s OK that they’re spying on you because everyone spying on you? I don’t think so.
