@@TR_M88 yes indeed, I’d not realised the date of the incident (15 Sep). Still there on 2 October and likely to need serious work on the landing gear apparently

Skiathos island (and in general Greece) rarely has those kind of strong westerly winds. Usually the winds are North, Northeast, and a few times Southerly. On the west side of the airport the area is mountainous and very close to the runway and this creates very challenging conditions for the approaching aircraft when westerly winds come down the hills and around the island
Whilst we there my daughter was flying back to Gatwick and there was no wind and they had to refuel at Thessaloniki apparently that doesn’t happen very often now 🇬🇷🇬🇷
@@12345fowler correct but to see one in an airport with less than 100 movements per week is not often. Second the damage of the aircraft is not result of most crosswind cases around the world. Skiathos airport is VERY tricky with winds from the west.
The Crow Airline was pretty cool! Multiple bounces but with such soft landings.
Beautiful camera work
The Sunclass A321 is still parked in Skiathos on Oct,3. It has not flown since and apparently needs a new landing gear !
@@guysterges1382 I can see the next movement by cargo ship...

Hi @lucaas
Yes it’s ok since you ‘ll mention the original video link and our channel. Thank you for asking
17:00 WHOLY insane landing that was a nearly engine wing hit my god
the angle is deceiving a bit as the runway slope at the beginning of RWY19 but still looks very harsh...no clue for pitch down
Incredible footage!! Liked and subscribed!
Nicely done mate 👌
Very cool catches!!😎✈️
Love the catch of the SunClass Hard Landing.
PS: The SunClass A321 OY-TCG came from Stockholm, Sweden on that flight😅
It was not so funny to be on that plane 😅 Really scary!
@@MariaH2207M I understand, right in the moment caught by surprise. Otherwise not dangerous, good safety margins😅😉
Nice capture! Mind if I feature your plane capture clips in my project? Will credit you. Thanks!

@@skiathoslandings Thanks
Good job mate 👍
Very nasty negative windshear for the Sunclass A321, very little time to react and very little room to recover
Aircraft still on the ground 2 days later, so clearly hard enough to require an inspection and possible repair
2 days?! Its been there since the 15th September

Tava claro a falta de alinhamento com a pista. Pra mim, foi falha do piloto deveria ter arremetido e tentar posteriormente numa condição melhor.
