I'll be 69 in a couple of months and I just find it so nostalgic and cool transforming an old rice burner into an awesome chopper!! Seen a lot of that back in the day.
Very helpful if you must build from scratch. All my electronicals are currently working (get it? Currently lol) so i will be just extending my wires to relocate them
Love watching your videos, thanks for all the good information. I tried Asylum Cycles for my harness , spoke to Jay he said he would build me a harness and refurbish my controls. That was 3 months ago, haven’t gotten my harness or controls back. I’d be careful recommending him.
Actually haven’t heard a thing from him. Took my original controls and a new one I purchased to restore along with $330. Haven’t heard a word in 4weeks from my last conversation. If you have any pull I’d at least like to get my original controls back.
Just to follow up on Asylum Cycle out of Rodchester NY. Jay apparently had some personal issues at the time I contracted him for a harness. These issues were out of his control. He has subsequently completed a beautiful XS 650 wiring harness and I have just received it in the mail will be installing soon. Despite all his adversity he followed through with his word. Good person quality work will use him again if needed.
I love my old XS so much....I bought it back 3 years later from 3 owners between us and state lines. I really need to rewire the whole thing..... soooo much janky and sketchy stuff. Subb'd for more videos!
Can you do a video about the springer front end conversion? I want to do the same but don’t know which one to get from tc bros. Trying to do a 18” rear & 21” front
@@shedbillycustoms823 Cool! You guys know if I should get the (stock) or (reduced 2”) one? I asked tc bros & they acted like they didn’t even know for some reason. I’m ready to buy mine now but have no clue which one to buy.
Following you guys, good energy. Got a 650 I know less then more about. But this got me motivated to keep at it till it runs again 😎

Keep me posted and I’ll reach out to him myself. He has done a few for other listeners with no issues. Sorry to hear about that

Reduced 2 if you want a bobber look. Both work fine
@@shedbillycustoms823 awesome! Thank you for follow up! Means a lot
Hi thank you for the video
great wiring diagram
Thanks bud
does anyone know who sells the wires like this
You can buy a entire kit from Jay at Asylum Cycles. I detailed an entire install of his in the video before this. It’s pretty cheap as well
you must be used to harleys or something with an accelerator pump... i don't think twisting the grip prior to kicking does much to get gas in there...
Hahahaha. Old habits die hard
Cool..
😎😎😎
It's
A...live ...
Steve looks like Tommy Flanagan or Chibs from Sons of Anarchy
Definitely Tommy Flanagan, hahahaha
As dr frankenstien said ...IT'S ALIVE!!!
Ahem....well done fellas👍.
Peace out ✌️
Thanks buddy
ITS ALIVE!
Dudes looks like almost Theo Von
use 4 gauge on them coils for better spark 😜
Twisting the throttle on startup does nothing as there are no accelerator pumps in those carburettors
But it makes me feel better
I just can't understand why all you people have to screwups every xs 650 everbuilt!!!
Because it’s awesome
thats the beauty of ownership :')
