- We went on a bank holiday weekend trip to Vienna and Hamburg, this first part of the video documents what we got upto in Vienna, and the journey on the sleeper train. Keep an eye out for part two which will cover Miniature Wonderland and Hamburg
My word!! The airport at which you landed is built to look like a spaceship!!
Very interesting video, the level of cleanliness and luxury compared to the Uk rail system is so vast it’s unreal, the lack of infrastructure and investment is shocking, I hope to go to Germany sometime this year, I haven’t been for many years, I’m glad you had a great time.
Because they value and invest in it unlike in the UK particularly over the last 14 years.
My wife is from Germany originally and we've done several train journey's in Germany including from Bonn to Frankfurt which follows the River Rhine which is an incredible route.
I’ve been across most of Western Europe because my parents were well known musicians and coached at the European Summer School for Young Musicians.
The train looks like a rake of Mk3 carriages being hauled by a German locomotive.
They feel a fair bit wider than British stock, and they are brand new purpose built by Siemens, they feel really modern. I’ve watched videos of the old Nightjet trains and these are in a different league!
All I can say about that is something about leaving on a jet train!! My thoughts are with the 1970s song about leaving on a jet plane!!
The German railway system is about five times that in our own tiny island!!
Don't think I ever seen someone do a slipper review on a NightJet before!
Kept them!
@@roadsandrails Good! I had a Polish railways flannel the same way :) Now you just need to sound fit them so the sing like a Taurus starting off!
My favourite places were France and Italy. My least favourite places Austria and Germany.
