True story: I got an A in my German exam in High School, my pronunciation was apparently “flawless”.
I had listened to Rammstein’s Mutter album religiously for my entire final year and just spoke German the way Til did!

Rammstein is legendary..they are more than just another rock band...Till Lindemann isn't just another singer. He is an artist..a poet..a lyrical genius .. Christian "Flake" Lorenz (keyboardist) said.“Till radiates complete authority in my eyes" “When he sings or says something, you realize that he also means it. That makes the whole song a lot more precious. Especially since there are singers who say or sing just about anything because it sounds good. With Till, you know that he means it.”

"That seems dangerous" I saw Rammstein live back in like 2002 or 2003...and Till "singer" sang the entire first song while he was on fire.....with a laser eye... They are truly one of the best live experiences I have ever attended.

Till's voice is extraordinary - when he goes to the lowest registers it sounds just insane, yet he can go much much higher - without losing that power! Just check "Rammlied 4K" or "Ich Tu Dir Weh" from Madison Square Garden, you'll be surprised how melodic he can get! 🙂
Oh, and if you would like to see how much pyro they can use... check any "Sonne" from 2019 tour 😎
BTW - they just finished their North American tour... Maybe they'll repeat it next year, who knows!

Rammstein is one of the best power-metal bands out there; their incredible chemistry as bandmates and friends, their talent, and Till's voice is just an absolute wonder

Btw, Till Lindemann (vocalist) is a trained pyrotechnician. That's why they are allowed to do all those fire stuff. I'd highly recommend mein Teil live, probably to most intense live show ever from them.
Oh and a general rule, ALWAYS listen to Rammstein songs live. Their show is unmatched, best show ever

Rammstein was in my hometown for a great concert. They are coming almost every year. They are my only wants to see band. I have been to so many, but Volbeat is one of them. The biggest concert in Denmark ever (with a danish band) They recorded it, with Lars Ulrich and many others guests. The concert was over 2 hours straight, no breaks. I was in the VIP-zone, so close to then. The next concert i met them and talked to them face to face.

Lately saw them live in Stuttgart and Prague and everybody in the czech town wore Rammstein Shirts it was amazing... Next year I will see them live two times in Munich Germany.. Best live band since day 1.

That’s actually pretty tame for Rammstein 🔥
Back in the 90's there was an incident with their Pyros that injured few audience members. Since then, Til, trained pyrotechnician too has a crew to make sure that all pyros going off safely during each concert stop. Rammstein, so far, is only rock band sings in German while their mates, iconic band, Scorpions sings in English. It is amazing fact that fans sing German in Paris, France since Germany invaded and occupied France during WWII. Amazing moment in history.
I'm actually seeing them in concert tonight. This will be my second show, I still don't think I've come down from the high of the first one. They definitely put on a good performance.

Rammstein, King'sX, and California Guitar Trio are concert experiences where you stop being a self and join something greater. You have to be there to not be there, it's impossible to describe.

All of their songs are powerful; though some of their performances may offend you.
The refrain in this song, "du hast mich", means "you have me". In the song though they sing a version of the German marriage vows, and he answers "Nein!" meaning "No!" The interesting thing about the word "hast" is the German word "hasst" is pronounced the exact same way but instead of have, it means "hate". You tell them apart by the context. After saying "No!" to the marriage vows, I imagine "du hasst mich", "you hate me" would be applicable.

Till (singer) is a poet & he uses multiple layers of word play, I believe this is a song written after a spurned marriage proposal, I think its kinda do you have, do you hate in response to do you love me kinda phrase. Their pyrotechnics are world famous & huge productions! They are currently in the US? Their stadium tour uses 60 trucks for their stage setup! Till is also a liscenced pyro-technician! Happy Rammstein (pron: Rhomm-Shtyne)! This is one of the best live bands of all time! Stick to lives unless someone specifies a video (some are epic, some not).
Keyboardist, Christian "Flake" Lorenz (pron: FLAW-KAWH) can walk up to 17miles per show on his treadmill!
You need to go and see them live before they leave the states. Their last two shows are on September 23rd and 24th at the LA Memorial Coliseum.

Till Lindemann (the Singer), used to be on a short list to the 1980 Olympics (for East Germany), but he never got there, and he have kept himself in shape ever since.
"An incident in September 1996 caused a section of the band's set to burn, and as a result, Lindemann got his certification in pyrotechnics so the band could perform with pyrotechnics more safely than it had previously"
The reason why Flake (the guy on the keyboard) is on a treadmill, is actually quite simple, he have so much energy, that he can't stand still, and because of all the fireworks he for obvious reasons can't run randomly around the Stage.
The real reason why the members looks dirty is because of anti flammable gel, because of safety reasons, and some of the powder residue sticks to the gel, making them look dirty.
I'm not certain about this, but I have read several times, that Till does have some stage fright, so he often picks a point over the crowd that he focus on, instead of looking directly into the crowd.
"The lightning" is CGI added afterward, the rest is quite real.
How hot is was, it was hot..I have been to 3 of their shows (not this one thought), but 2 outdoors, and 1 indoor, the indoor was really hot, I drank 2 bottles of water and felt like I have used a couple more. The band have some merchandise if buy ticket to the front row, with the text "I survived Front Row at a Rammstein Concert" I don't have that myself, but one of my friends have.

Never heard of Rammstein tztztztz. Best live band on earth and one of the most famous metal bands in the world. Her parents locked her in her children's room for 30 years without a radio or TV. But good reaction!!

To explain some of the lyric or the finesse.
Basically the main part of the lyric ist the question if you want to marry someone and to be together in the good and in the bad times, the lyric uses the really common way in Germany how you get asked from a priest if you want to accept your marriage (Schwört ihr euch Treue in guten wie auch in schlechten Tagen). Then the part with the crowd ist Ja(yes) followed by an harsh Nein(no).
The fun part ist that that you can write "hast" with one or "s" or two "ss" in German without seeing the writing the context changes a lot because the built up in lyric looks then like followed:
Du hast, du has"s"t mich, du hast mich gefragt und ich habe nichts gesagt.
You have, you "hate" me (if written with two s or seen as a further built up to the full sentence), you ask me and I said nothing.
So basically it's a song about the harsh question if you want to stick with someone and marry him/her and the answer is "no" in this song :D
Till is truely a poet. It's amazing what he can do with the German language

I seen them back September 3rd, just saw it i love these guys soooo much! The live show blew my mind!! Mist incredible experience of my life! Ruined all other cook things for me. Especially concerts. this is one of their mild sons girl.

German Rock and Metal is full of different variants...you already had Metalcore with Electric Callboy and Industrial Metal with Rammstein... the next stop would be Medieval Rock with Feuerschwanz... I can recommend the songs like DING or METFEST or WARRIORS OF THE WORLD (it´s a well done cover of Manowar´s famous hymn)
I saw them live in the UK coventry they was awsome they was so lound peaple 12 miles away from the gig reported they can hear it peaple was ringing the police thinking there was bombs going off and a terrorist attack haha
This is the only german band that have such a crowd-control. A little detail is, this video is live in Paris. Germany and France are not the best friedns, so THIS is a important thing, the concert ist record with around 150.000 people. And France people sing in german, this is very rare
