    So many people destroy old classic bikes making awful builds. You make beautiful classics even more awesome.

    I've known so many people who curse at their old bikes for having carburetor issues, but I blame the owners. Caring for my carburetors is very therapeutic and enjoyable, and when care is taken, they should work trouble-free virtually forever, as long as your fuel system is clean. Turns out I enjoy seeing others work on them too. Great video.

    Must be a good feeling and a proud moment to bring a one off engine you've created and built, to life, hearing it purr and run for the first time!
    Great work as usual.😎👍
    Still makes me miss my 1981 Honda CBX1000 6 cylinder beast, the grin from ear to ear when riding that was fantastic!

      @@kevinscollan8293 Yeah got it!
      They do have a very distinctive sound track and a very addictive need to be knocked down a cog and opened up going through a tunnel
      The thing that most surprised me about them was the grin factor as that engine pulls from so low down right through the rev range. Most 4 cylinder bikes of that era had a powerband where the engine came on cam and felt like a turbo kicked in, the CBX just made power right through the rev range, the low down torque was incredible!
      The first time I ever got up close to one was when I rode a 1981 suzuki er50, I was 16 my mate pulls up on his brand new bike, I asked the dumbest question, 'what's that a 500?', he grinned at me and said 'no, double that and add a bit more!' 😲⚠️😳
      It was a brand new CBX1000......
      I guess the seed was planted back then, fast forward a good few years and I ended up buying one, a 1981 model.....worst thing I ever did was sell it! ⚠️😲😥

    Allan wields some extraordinary magic, building it in the first place, it runs first try, sounds wonderful and doesn’t even need a petrol tank. Is he the motorcycle worlds most talented engineer? I can’t see others doing this interesting stuff, not even the factories, who all seem now to be fitting up mass produced Chinese twins into whatever colour bits they can come up with.

    Super Carb tuning;
    I am retired now, but when balancing the slides on multiple carbs, I used light rather than drill bits although they do a reasonable job.
    Method: use a large peace of cardboard with holes cut out for each carb and place a workshop strip lamp behind them.
    Next: put a thick or black cloth over your head to cut out the ambient light, now you can adjust the slides by adjusting the light crescents until they all match.
    Last of all: you can then adjust the whole bank of carbs via the tick-over screw or screws. Doing this will tell you if your crescents stay where they should do.
    PS, thanks for your video showing that cleaning carbs properly is a very good way of getting the best out of any motorcycle, and Happy riding to everyone.
