The thing I've always had issues with most 2D Minecraft projects is that it usually doesn't actually look like the original game in any aspect whatsoever. To finally see a 2D MC that actually attempts to replicate how it would look from a 2D perspective is really awesome! Keep up the good work! :D
Is there a way to keep the stars from moving in place like that? Stars do move, but they mostly just follow the rotation of the sky as the earth rotates. The particle behavior acts a bit more like fireflies than stars (which, while cool, may not have been what you were going for). Maybe a single 2D texture "star map" that rotates or scrolls in sync with the day cycle, and loses opacity in the daytime? And you could use layering to keep it from rendering under the horizon, just like you did with the particles.

Amazing! One thing I felt missing were inputting seeds (assuming you have separate rng for entities and world generation, should be pretty easy) Also for Star generation, can’t you do a sort of large square or circle with stars sprinkles upon it that rotate across the middle in a similar way Minecraft does it? It’s probably one entity and can act in a similar cycle to the sun and moon
Splash: There's a 3rd Dimension?! Fluids are going to wreak havoc on your existence. Also something I'm questioning regarding the combat, is whether it makes complete sense to force the player to click on the mob itself. Wouldn't that mean you wouldn't be able to attack two entities at once (the 2nd through the first), despite being in close enough range?
Yo I have a suggestion for the yellow splash text in the menu and it is this "The Lore of Minecraft is a vast and intricate narrative that has been pieced together through various elements within the game including its environments structures and items. Although it doesn't have a single official narrative players have uncovered clues and hints that hint at a larger story. The world of Minecraft revolves around "The Player" a nameless protagonist who finds themselves in an endless open world filled with biomes creatures and mysteries. Throughout their journey players encounter various unique locations like villages temples dungeons and strongholds which are often accompanied by enigmatic symbols artifacts and hidden writings. One central aspect of Minecraft's lore involves the existence of ancient civilizations and powerful beings. From structures like the End Cities and their Ender Dragons to the Ocean Monuments guarded by Guardians these remnants suggest the existence of past civilizations. Moreover Minecraft introduces distinct dimensions like the Nether and the End which further enrich the lore. The Nether is a dark and dangerous underworld filled with dangerous creatures like Ghasts Piglins and the Wither while the End is a desolate realm inhabited by Endermen and dominated by a powerful entity known as the Ender Dragon. As players progress in the game they navigate these dimensions and encounter entities with extraordinary abilities such as Witches and Illagers. Additionally artifacts like Elytra wings Nether Stars Enchanted Books and the Totem of Undying offer tantalizing hints at a more significant story behind Minecraft's world. While the developers of Minecraft haven't provided a comprehensive and definitive lore they have intentionally left the game open-ended allowing players to interpret the narrative themselves. This approach has sparked endless speculation and theories within the Minecraft community fostering collective storytelling and imagination."
