I liked Noot's take on 'Nado: "A motivated Nolan is a scary Nolan." Perfect backdrop for the theme Revenge Tour! Can't wait to see it shape up.

I think Goldy and Arenado will both have good years. I think frustration showed in both which hurt their game.

Only thing that hurt them last year was the pressure of constantly trying to hit while behind. If they can be properly placed in the lineup and not have to play catch up almost every game I think both these boys have something to prove? I grew up with two kids that went to The Reds and The Yankees in the 90's and when they'd come home for holidays they would talk about the Majors. One of them told me the best motivation for a aging player was they would start reading the sports section when they wasn't doing well. I hope they can right the ship and get it going! Nardo to me is the closest thing your going to see next too Brooks Robinson in this generation. Take care!

I think Nado is going to be a man on a mission this year. I also think Goldy will have a more Goldy- type year. The biggest x- factor in this team is Jordan Walker. This lineup looks more dangerous with him playing at a high level

"Comeback".......I didn't know he left? .266 avg. 26 Homeruns and 93 RBI's. He still did better than 80% of the team? But I get it.

His only season worse than 2023 was his rookie year. It was only his third season less than 30 homeruns (aside from 2020).

You forgot to mention his defense wasn’t on par for his pedigree. That’s where he needs to get it together.

It is also the Jordan Walker/Nolan Gorman explode into elite status, as well as Masyn figuring out this hitting thing. Go Cardinals.

I seldom get excited about hats. I've been a Cardinals fan since 1964, and I don't have a StL hat. My two favorite players are Stan Musial (NL) and Al Kaline (AL). I always wore #6 on my uniform when I played the game. The only reason I have an Old English D Detroit Tigers hat is because a summer team I played for 40 years ago used that hat with our uniform.
But hearing about the throwback St Louis Cardinals hat worn by Musial has a lot of attraction from me. I will look into getting one.

If Walker and Gorman mash 30 bombs like they can then I see Goldie and Nado back to form… they need support.. Pujols and the fear pitchers had for all three were imo why they all had the 2022 season they did… you couldn’t pitch around any of them… Walker Gorman and Contreras+ Donovan all need to put that fear into rotations and bullpens…

Remember the time when Stan Musial wrote a check back to the owner refunding part of his salary for a sub-par performance. The whole team was sub-par last year. Focus on staying healthy and winning!!

I hate to tell you this but Arenado was rated by MLB as the six best third baseman in baseball. I don't remember the whole list but Machado, Austin Riley, Devers were three a head of him.

Hey JD; Arenado and Goldschmidt are the least of my concerns. It’s our starting pitching that still bothers me. Our line up should scare some people. Outside of Gray does anyone else scare anybody? If we don’t pitch will our bats implode like last year? It seems Mo has set us up for failure again. Only this time he did it with old vets instead of young arms. Has Mo set this pitching staff up with odds our old vets will decline or are on the IL for the sake of clubhouse culture? It just seems to me the club house culture could be improved with a new manager and more coaching changes. Keep McGee though!😁

The thing with Goldschimt is he's a medical marvel at staying off the injured reserve. I just want to see him hitting 3rd or 4th with Nardo either in front of him or behind him? That silly crap of Marmol constantly hitting him 2nd was a abysmal failure with no protection. Move Willie Contreras down in the lineup out of 5th! Spread these sluggers out. Do you think JW'b would hit better if he was in front of Contreras with some protection? There's alot of simple fundamental things this team can do to be better than last season. Question is.....Will "Lolly" pull his head out of his third point of contact and do it? Guess we'll find out soon enough? Take care

As far as the players go, I don't feel any negativity whatsoever ought to go toward Arenado or Goldy. They saw what the record was in 2023. And for the most part, they were still out there every day, not feigning anything or making excuses. I respect that. So the negativity still goes to Mozeliak for the roster he put together. If you're doing any more deep dives about players, Walker's weaknesses should not be avoided, because his defense had much to do with the pitching performance situation in 2023 (excluding Wainwright's, who clearly should have stepped away with Pujols and Molina), and JW's output on offense didn't at all match the hype. Too many K's. Corbin Carrol was good. Walker was average .... and for that reason got no votes for Rookie-of-the-Yr.

Nolan Arenado Will bounce back. My frustration with the team was with everyone collectively. Anger? not really!! Last year was just clownsville. I' I'm putting inner-squad squabbles as the primeary for 2023. I'll leave it at that!!I am going to throw this one outo thre. How would you like ot have been Adam Wainwright.? he had to win ony 5 games last year and around 30 chances to get it. He BAREALY made it. P Bullpen and defense didn't help him much last year, Did it? I'd like to know how many blown saves the pen had when he started games?

The leadership talks in general are getting out of control and it being such a constant media topic is making it sound forced and inorganic. You certainly expect leadership from veterans, but doesn’t a hierarchy also develop naturally within a team? It’s just starting to get kinda weird man
