When Eqestria lost her magic, it meant Celestia, Luna, Cadance, and Twilight could no longer use anti-aging spells. This means it's likely they have all died and are just legends among the pony.
There is no anti-aging spell for alicorn. Alicorns(at least natural ones like Luna and Celestia) don't go all old and wrinkly. They "age" slowly and just live for a very LONG time, if not outright immortal in terms of age there.

And said journal stated the sisters were natural alicorns.
well ok here's the thing, the crystal ponies by default don't have magic magic(no horns and all) but may have the love and light thing so flurry and the crystal empire should still be thriving. their magic isn't related to harmony after all. I expect flurry to be there and maybe twilight seeks refuge in the crystal empire (if she ran away just like when she did during chrysalis and tirrek and cozy glow's invasion) so yes she would still be ruler of the crystal empire.
What if they are not alicorns anymore? What if they don't have any magic so they can't be ruler anymore Or what if they just died? If there is no magic there is no immortality
Perhaps something happened to all of the alicorns, including Twilight, Cadence and Flurry. If the ponies of Equestria lost all of their rulers it could certainly cause division.
You would think that if Celestia and Luna were off exploring parts unknown, they'd at least visit Equestria occasionally to catch up with Twilight and discuss all the cool stuff they've seen.
I like to think that after retiring Celestia got a a part-time job as a waitress (wanting to see what it's like to take orders rather then give them) and Luna put herself in the dating pool.
I agree with you Doc about the possibility that Celestia and Luna may not even be in Equestria anymore, because like you said it's quite possible that even after they went to live at Silver Shoals they could've continued their journeys through Equestria and beyond, and given how far in the future G5 takes place chances are Celestia and Luna eventually just decided that it was time that they find a place to settle down and just live out the rest of their days, and maybe the place in question is in some faraway land that goes even beyond that map...but anyway that's my guess.
There can be a something like this: Discord accidentally turned Himself, Spike and The Main 6 into stone except Twilight. And Twilight without her friends couldn’t rule and that’s how the Pony Tribes separated and friendship and therefore magic was lost. Meanwhile Celestia and Luna were traveling around the world and didn’t know what was happening in Equestria. The Main 5 took a trip to find The Royal Sisters and when they did find them The Royal Sisters were shocked but in Equestria the Pony Tribes hated The Royal Sisters it shouldn’t be too hard to assume that the reason Twilight couldn’t rule anymore was because of The Royal Sisters because they had left and then the tribes separated because they also blamed the other Pony kinds so The Royal Sisters knew that they couldn’t repair their reputation so The Royal Sisters decided to try to free Twilight’s Friends and Discord but for that to happen they needed magic and since there was no friendship there was no magic so they decided to teach The Main 5 about friendship and the Magic of Friendship and The Main 5 tried to reunite the Pony Tribes and try to explain the friendship and the Magic of Friendship to the Pony Tribes.
Every time anything comes up about one of the Alicorns, regardless of who, I usually just think of all of them, because if something would apply to one Alicorn it would most likely apply to all Alicorns. They were a very rare and magical version of all the ponies together. Thank you Lauren Faust, hopefully what you made will never be forgotten.
Well they are retried at this point but I would love to see Celestia just relaxing and enjoying retirement. But maybe they could come back to help restore Equestria after whaever happened, also I feel like if any magic is still around it would the sister's magic
I think that there's a special land for the alicorns to go to once they retire so they can live through their immortality and the main 5 in G5 will come across it and all questions about alicorns in G4 will be answered. It seems like a great way to end a story and start a new one.
Maybe the Sisters, once they stepped down, they no longer had long lives. They gave up their longevity to live out lives as mortal ponies, maybe still traversing across the world, but now they would age and potentially die. Or, what if those who are so string connected to the magic that runs through all of the Equestria, causes Twilight, Cadence, Celestia, and Luna to become locked in a coma-like state until the land's magic is restored. So many questions still and I hope we get more info on what the movie will be about and how much of the lore from G4 will make a come back.
That doesn't make sense for them to lose their immortality by giving up their thrones. The alicorns naturally have longevity, especially the natural ones. The sisters can't suddenly go all old and wrinkly and die like that by giving up their thrones. Its so wrong for Luna's case since she barely ruled nor got to enjoy life as much. She lost a 1000 years of her life due to the NMM fiasco.
Of course it would be great to see Luna again she's one of my favorites. And I too can see the main five going on adventures trying to find the two sisters.
Oh my gosh I'm so excited for how they're going to expand upon this. I absolutely love the princesses from Gen4, they're all wonderful in their own way.

Idk since it's so far into the future, it makes sense if they weren't around anymore since by G4 they were already well over a 1,000 years old and by the looks of it since Twilight was confirmed she wouldn't outlive her friends, do indeed have a limited lifespan. And being much older than Twilight, it makes sense if they were no longer in the world of living. There maybe hope for flurry heart tho

Hell, Luna is probably going to be barely remembered compared to Celestia due to Luna lost a 1000 years of ruling and only ruled for a few years after coming back. She barely had impact on Equestria compared to Celestia and that's a huge problem.

My theory is that Celestia and Luna may have went to unknown place or not have been captured by something and because they lost their magic they're helpless to fight back against the thing might captured them.
I really hope thats not the case. The sisters got an awful sendoff in the finale by ultimately looking like massive failures once again. Having them get taken out AGAIN after they retired is just adding insult to their injury there.
Probably Spike has passed out when magic in Equestria started disappearing and Twilight Sparkle has failed to send messages to Celestia and Luna who must be far beyond the waves of the ocean, so Twilight remain helpless.
I actually think that they left equestria entirely we know that there are different universes and we never do find out who the sisters parents were nor why they have such greater powers than the rest ,if it was from the elements the rest of the main six would have changed to. What if they had a home realm where they were just normal among their people and they traveled to equestria to free the land from some threat, maybe discords parents I dunno but after so long they got tired of this life and left it to twilight after seeing how good she was they went home to where they were just normal ponies
Since g5 is more modern maybe there are spaceships now so they might be having a vacation on space and there probably living on the moon or maybe just lunna

I maintain that Alicorn immortality is tied to magic. The loss of magic means the loss of that immortality. Time caught up with the royal sisters just like it did Twilight. Who handles the sun and moon now? That might be a problem solved by technology now. Still, there will be plenty of history about the royal sisters for Sunny and friends to find. I could see said history being important to Zipp and Pipp given that they, too, are royal sisters.
On the one hoof, I cant wait to see what happens in g5. On the other hoof, I'm kinda dreading it as well. Super hyped but really torn. Like, I don't want G4 to end, but cant wait for g5. The hype/crash seesaw is real lol. What I do know is that were all gonna start the journey together, and I'm sure itll be one hell of a ride :)
I have an idea. The mane 6 might have faced an extremely hard to overcome villain and might've had to seal themselves inside the elements of harmony. When Sunny and the others embark on the journey, perhaps they might free and save the mane 6 like they did with the pillars.
Can we get some easter eggs about them still on vacation? We see a hill in the background with some lawn chairs with their cutimarks on them or something like that.
My theory is the final bad guy in the series will be revealed to harness some powerful magic and successfully kidnapped and locked away the Princesses (Celestia, Luna, Cadence and maybe Twilight and flurry heart?) many years ago, trapped in a nightmare moon like state before the show takes place. That's why nobody in the show ever brings up the princesses, because none of them were born during that time and this mystery villain took control of the world.
If the sisters return, it would most likely just be in a story rather than actually meeting them. There is also the possibility that G5 is so far in the future that they died, either of natural causes or because something killed them. In many cases I've read, characters only have indefinite lifespans. They don't know if they'll ever die of old age, but they can be killed by something or someone. I think this is the most likely case for the sisters

Celestia and Luna went to the retirement home after they attended Twilight's coordination so I highly doubt they're around anymore. ConspiracyPon3 used the original map to show that G4 took place in part of the US/Canada but after we got the updated movie map it's not just a small section of North America but the entire continent. G5 expanding the map and showing InkRose's theory of an alicorn nation that was destroyed by Draconequus would be interesting but I have my doubts on them making that cannon.

There is a point that I would like to bring up. We all think that Twilight was the last known princess. But what about Twilight's pupil. Could she be part of the reasons that the magic has been lost. It makes me wonder.

Celestia and Luna are in Silver Hoof but we never know where is this place. maybie across the West Sea or more far after Griffonia, and possibly too far for know what happen in equestria. and i think Celestia and Luna are born at this place, that make sense when Celestia said Flurry are the first Alicorn birth in Equestria.
I very much hope that within G5, in the next issues, we will see Celestia, Luna, find out what happened to Twilight. In the meantime, there are too many plot holes, but if they are alive and somehow integrated into this generation, then this will be great news. If this happens, then I will be very happy, because this is my favorite trio.
I think Spike has more of a chance than the two princesses because he was with the Mane 6 documenting their Adventures through the journal and through the letters that Twilight had him sent to Celestia so he has more of a chance of showing up and being more like a teacher to the new group and Twilight might be there in a sort of self-exile cuz like you said magic is gone and all species seems to be distance from each other so I think she put herself in this exile to figure out what she could do or that she might have failed everyone
You know the pony I feel most likely to make an appearance from G4 is Starlight maybe because she feeling scared of leaving ponyville might use Star Swirl's time spekk to go ahead in time but may be unable to perform it back to go back to her age thus getting stuck amidst the pony disharmony. It's far fetched at best but it has got potential!
Have you ever noticed, how the Royal sisters just never grew. (Except luna in season 1 - 2 Celestial never seemed to show anything older even before 1000 years ago. It makes you think if they are immortal or not.
If you ask me, I think it would be bad writing to bring them back in any kind of official or ruling capacity, worse if they were even some kind of important character. A cameo, or a nod to their fate should be more than enough to give fans some resolution. I do find the idea of a mane 5 coming together and making the 6th element of magic, Twilight Sparkle return more than compelling, but I also agree with another poster that we should let the past be past and look to somebody else like maybe Flurry Heart to appear.
Lets talk about Everfree Forest. Is it a conservation park? Expanded but controlled enough for Weather, Astrological bodies. Lack of magic, or at least a major part of it, change the timberwolf? We can do lots of thing here. How about a legendary theme park?
These are all characters that have a very long lifespan. They have to show up in some point, expecially Twilight. I'm not sure how they are gonna show up, but maybe Twilight, Spike, Discord and the royal sisters live together.
There are many possibilities that could help explain what happened during the time gap between G4 and G5, and it's likely that Hasbro will hold off on revealing EXACTLY what happened until much later in the series. Unfortunately, no matter what explanation Hasbro chooses to go with in the end, some fans WILL end up feeling betrayed, alienated, and/or ostracized! Such is life...
What if the plot is something like this ?: Magic doesn't exist anymore because it's locked in the center of the planet ( to prevent a threat related to magic) and it's easy to free it but because doing so will cause an enormous amount of pure magic to be free, leading to disastrous and impredictable consequences. While, there is still magic in the air, it's a really small amount and the only being capable of using magic are those who are naturally magic being (like discord) but can't access this dimension because they will then loose their magic or being with magical objects that still work but are nowhere near as powerful as before. The plot revolves around an evil organisation that stole a magical object (like a sword hidden in a library for example) which is the key to free all magic, but like I said doing so will potentially destroy the world. They are either ok with that, not aware of it, or think they can control it. The mane 5 will try to prevent them because no one else trust them that there is an actual danger. At the end, the key is put in the keyhole (like a big stone in a secret place where you have to put the sword) and the magic start to escape but the mane 5 (or 6 at this point) manage to take the key out and as a result, only a small amount of magic is free, causing the world to go back to magic without being destroy. The bad guys are defeated or escaped for being reused in the serie where a powerful sorcerer will probably try to free the rest of the magic, using an other way to do so (the key is probably for a single use).
@@maitremaitre9283 It's an interesting plot idea, though the writers at Hasbro may prefer to go with their own plot ideas for the G5 series, so don't feel too discouraged if that's how they choose to go. On the other hand, your plot idea might be correct, so we'll all just have to wait and see...

i could imagine that twilight's friends would just become spirits of their elements. Twilight would still rule with each element helping her. the mane 5 of g5 would probably reawaken the elements and allow them to live on through an even newer tree of harmony. the treehouse would probably die out before this
@@ronaldpagar6513 it is a form of the tree of harmony, so if there is disharmony and mistrust, it can be resolved inside of it. basically, the plot of the g5 movie can't happen unless this treehouse is gone.
That will add salt to the sisters wounds honestly. They ended their rules as a pretty big failures due to how things went in the finale. Having them get taken out ONCE AGAIN after retiring is going to make things worse.

I have a idea through its dark what if The alicorns were killed not by old age by something else think about it each tribe could blame an alicorn or alicorns for what happend to them. It's a kid show and I dont think they will do this but it's an interesting thought

Also, I have been thinking about G2 lately, while I know the real-world reason why it didn't have its own cartoon, although it did have a video game based on it, suppose all the Generations were in some way (I've been trying to figure out a vast but not MLP '5000-year' timeline theory that incorporates all the Gens & retcons), What, in-universe, could have happened to the G2 era... could something terrible like a temporal anomaly have happened that basically 'erased' that time period from existence..?

There is another possibility I see. Well 2. A. They both are separated and each have settled down somewhere, maybe even with family. This one's doubtful but still posible. B. They found Tirek and Scorpan's home and are trying to help there lands become peaceful. After All, Scopan and Tirek where supost to conquer Equestria. But Scorpan retured to try to spead what he learned in Equestria witch causes a divide in his home. After all if Tirek was alive in Tarturus for so long whoes to say his brothers not still alive. And even if he isn't the idea of his home this divide land, the Princesses may try and help. Only Two Princesses left. Cadence and Flurry Heart. I'll wait for that video so this doesn't become 5 miles long (exageration but still)
Isnt it a thing in-universe that the cycle of night and day was controlled by the magic of ruling alicorns? We see in the g5 trailer quite clearly that both night and day exists, so how could that be if there are supposedly no alicorns left? Is it just that theres one doing it in hiding, or did twilight or someone at some point just cast a spell for days to progress naturally ?
Prob still retired we will prob see them but i doubt they will do anything as they have lost magic what can they do? I think we will see them or at least hear of them
I think there is a couple of answers that involved the Royal Sisters. But there is still the debate from the events of the series finale of G4. That is about the CMC not there when all of Equestria helped Twilight and her friends defeat the villains. I think it had something to do with Hasbro letting the Mane Six pass down their teachings to the Student Six leaving the CMC on the sidelines. But if The Mane Six should have passed the knowledge of Friendship to the CMC, that would be a different ballgame. But we will have to see when G5 MLP comes out and see what really happened to the magic of Friendship.
Twilight so lost in the grief of her friends death, and spike and discord unable to help, leave feeling helpless, maybe discord is also in grief, and communication with the two sisters is lost because of their distance from the kingdom, and the crystal kindom isn’t there because they have their own kingdom to deal with, as well as possible shining armors death would also bring sorrow to flurry and cadence, maybe their grief would leave a crack it’s started to grow, and with the faltering magic, maybe the stress was too much and maybe some of them left unable to handle it. But idk, those are just some of my rambling thoughts
The thing I've been stuck on is the day-night cycle. I mean we ALL know that Celestia and Luna are the ones to raise the sun and moon right? And the fact that in G6 the day-night cycle seems completely normal must mean that they're alive right? Plus it's kind of weird how even though their isn't any magic or "harmony" that the windigo's haven't attacked. And where did all the Changelings, Griffins, Hippogriffs, Yaks yk all the other species go? What happened to ponyville and the crystal empire? What happened to Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis. Is tarter-us still active? Who is sunny's dad and why did he believe in friendship, who is Sunny's mother?
I've been oporating under the assumption that their dead of old age. However, they could be trapped in the crystal empire. We know it's magically isolated from equestria, and has a tendancy to litterally dissappear.
Most likely the ponies in charge have them locked away somewhere probably in stone. It's the most likely thing the power hungry and hateful leaders of the tribes would do.

It may be, with magic on the wane, that the sisters need to expend all of their energies just keeping the Sun and Moon in their proper motion, and thus are unable to do anything else.

Meanwhile Celestia and Luna were traveling around the world and didn’t know what was happening in Equestria. The Main 5 took a trip to find The Royal Sisters and when they did find them The Royal Sisters were shocked but in Equestria the Pony Tribes hated The Royal Sisters it shouldn’t be too hard to assume that the reason Twilight couldn’t rule anymore was because of The Royal Sisters because they had left and then the tribes separated because they also blamed the other Pony kinds so The Royal Sisters knew that they couldn’t repair their reputation so The Royal Sisters decided to try to free Twilight’s Friends and Discord but for that to happen they needed magic and since there was no friendship there was no magic so they decided to teach The Main 5 about friendship and the Magic of Friendship and The Main 5 tried to reunite the Pony Tribes and try to explain the friendship and the Magic of Friendship to the Pony Tribes.
I am really hoping they don't go that route for Spike.
He didn't get to be the hero much compared to the Mane 6. Having him get taken out is just bad.

Every time anything comes up about one of the Alicorns, regardless of who, I usually just think of all of them, because if something would apply to one Alicorn it would most likely apply to all Alicorns. They were a very rare and magical version of all the ponies together. Thank you Lauren Faust, hopefully what you made will never be forgotten.
Well they are retried at this point but I would love to see Celestia just relaxing and enjoying retirement. But maybe they could come back to help restore Equestria after whaever happened, also I feel like if any magic is still around it would the sister's magic

I think that there's a special land for the alicorns to go to once they retire so they can live through their immortality and the main 5 in G5 will come across it and all questions about alicorns in G4 will be answered. It seems like a great way to end a story and start a new one.
Maybe the Sisters, once they stepped down, they no longer had long lives. They gave up their longevity to live out lives as mortal ponies, maybe still traversing across the world, but now they would age and potentially die. Or, what if those who are so string connected to the magic that runs through all of the Equestria, causes Twilight, Cadence, Celestia, and Luna to become locked in a coma-like state until the land's magic is restored. So many questions still and I hope we get more info on what the movie will be about and how much of the lore from G4 will make a come back.
That doesn't make sense for them to lose their immortality by giving up their thrones.
The alicorns naturally have longevity, especially the natural ones.
The sisters can't suddenly go all old and wrinkly and die like that by giving up their thrones.
Its so wrong for Luna's case since she barely ruled nor got to enjoy life as much. She lost a 1000 years of her life due to the NMM fiasco.

Probably Spike has passed out when magic in Equestria started disappearing and Twilight Sparkle has failed to send messages to Celestia and Luna who must be far beyond the waves of the ocean, so Twilight remain helpless.
If their immortality is tied to magic, the loss of it would have caused them all to age normally again.
I actually think that they left equestria entirely we know that there are different universes and we never do find out who the sisters parents were nor why they have such greater powers than the rest ,if it was from the elements the rest of the main six would have changed to. What if they had a home realm where they were just normal among their people and they traveled to equestria to free the land from some threat, maybe discords parents I dunno but after so long they got tired of this life and left it to twilight after seeing how good she was they went home to where they were just normal ponies

I maintain that Alicorn immortality is tied to magic. The loss of magic means the loss of that immortality. Time caught up with the royal sisters just like it did Twilight.
Who handles the sun and moon now? That might be a problem solved by technology now.
Still, there will be plenty of history about the royal sisters for Sunny and friends to find. I could see said history being important to Zipp and Pipp given that they, too, are royal sisters.
On the one hoof, I cant wait to see what happens in g5. On the other hoof, I'm kinda dreading it as well. Super hyped but really torn. Like, I don't want G4 to end, but cant wait for g5. The hype/crash seesaw is real lol.

I have an idea. The mane 6 might have faced an extremely hard to overcome villain and might've had to seal themselves inside the elements of harmony. When Sunny and the others embark on the journey, perhaps they might free and save the mane 6 like they did with the pillars.
In the Journal of the two sisters, Born Alicorns age very slowly not immortal. and Non born Alicorns (Twilight) will still have the average life span.

My theory is the final bad guy in the series will be revealed to harness some powerful magic and successfully kidnapped and locked away the Princesses (Celestia, Luna, Cadence and maybe Twilight and flurry heart?) many years ago, trapped in a nightmare moon like state before the show takes place. That's why nobody in the show ever brings up the princesses, because none of them were born during that time and this mystery villain took control of the world.
If the sisters return, it would most likely just be in a story rather than actually meeting them. There is also the possibility that G5 is so far in the future that they died, either of natural causes or because something killed them. In many cases I've read, characters only have indefinite lifespans. They don't know if they'll ever die of old age, but they can be killed by something or someone. I think this is the most likely case for the sisters

Given what we know so far, Celestia and Luna could be forced out of retirement, and back to being Co-Rulers of Equestria.
Celestia and Luna went to the retirement home after they attended Twilight's coordination so I highly doubt they're around anymore.
ConspiracyPon3 used the original map to show that G4 took place in part of the US/Canada but after we got the updated movie map it's not just a small section of North America but the entire continent.
G5 expanding the map and showing InkRose's theory of an alicorn nation that was destroyed by Draconequus would be interesting but I have my doubts on them making that cannon.
Regardless to any actual reason- Wouldn't it be sweet to see the Alicorn princesses animated in this 3D Style?

I very much hope that within G5, in the next issues, we will see Celestia, Luna, find out what happened to Twilight. In the meantime, there are too many plot holes, but if they are alive and somehow integrated into this generation, then this will be great news.
If this happens, then I will be very happy, because this is my favorite trio.

I think Spike has more of a chance than the two princesses because he was with the Mane 6 documenting their Adventures through the journal and through the letters that Twilight had him sent to Celestia so he has more of a chance of showing up and being more like a teacher to the new group and Twilight might be there in a sort of self-exile cuz like you said magic is gone and all species seems to be distance from each other so I think she put herself in this exile to figure out what she could do or that she might have failed everyone

You know the pony I feel most likely to make an appearance from G4 is Starlight maybe because she feeling scared of leaving ponyville might use Star Swirl's time spekk to go ahead in time but may be unable to perform it back to go back to her age thus getting stuck amidst the pony disharmony. It's far fetched at best but it has got potential!

Celestial never seemed to show anything older even before 1000 years ago. It makes you think if they are immortal or not.
If you ask me, I think it would be bad writing to bring them back in any kind of official or ruling capacity, worse if they were even some kind of important character. A cameo, or a nod to their fate should be more than enough to give fans some resolution.
I do find the idea of a mane 5 coming together and making the 6th element of magic, Twilight Sparkle return more than compelling, but I also agree with another poster that we should let the past be past and look to somebody else like maybe Flurry Heart to appear.
Lets talk about Everfree Forest. Is it a conservation park? Expanded but controlled enough for Weather, Astrological bodies. Lack of magic, or at least a major part of it, change the timberwolf? We can do lots of thing here. How about a legendary theme park?
These are all characters that have a very long lifespan. They have to show up in some point, expecially Twilight. I'm not sure how they are gonna show up, but maybe Twilight, Spike, Discord and the royal sisters live together.

the questions are rising quicker then how soon when g5 will be release to give us some answers
There are many possibilities that could help explain what happened during the time gap between G4 and G5, and it's likely that Hasbro will hold off on revealing EXACTLY what happened until much later in the series. Unfortunately, no matter what explanation Hasbro chooses to go with in the end, some fans WILL end up feeling betrayed, alienated, and/or ostracized! Such is life...
What if the plot is something like this ?:
Magic doesn't exist anymore because it's locked in the center of the planet ( to prevent a threat related to magic) and it's easy to free it but because doing so will cause an enormous amount of pure magic to be free, leading to disastrous and impredictable consequences. While, there is still magic in the air, it's a really small amount and the only being capable of using magic are those who are naturally magic being (like discord) but can't access this dimension because they will then loose their magic or being with magical objects that still work but are nowhere near as powerful as before.
The plot revolves around an evil organisation that stole a magical object (like a sword hidden in a library for example) which is the key to free all magic, but like I said doing so will potentially destroy the world. They are either ok with that, not aware of it, or think they can control it. The mane 5 will try to prevent them because no one else trust them that there is an actual danger. At the end, the key is put in the keyhole (like a big stone in a secret place where you have to put the sword) and the magic start to escape but the mane 5 (or 6 at this point) manage to take the key out and as a result, only a small amount of magic is free, causing the world to go back to magic without being destroy. The bad guys are defeated or escaped for being reused in the serie where a powerful sorcerer will probably try to free the rest of the magic, using an other way to do so (the key is probably for a single use).
@@maitremaitre9283 It's an interesting plot idea, though the writers at Hasbro may prefer to go with their own plot ideas for the G5 series, so don't feel too discouraged if that's how they choose to go. On the other hand, your plot idea might be correct, so we'll all just have to wait and see...

Last they recall where the royal sisters went when it came to their retirement is some place called shire shores. So it makes me wonder if they themselves may still be around that area possibly.
i could imagine that twilight's friends would just become spirits of their elements. Twilight would still rule with each element helping her. the mane 5 of g5 would probably reawaken the elements and allow them to live on through an even newer tree of harmony. the treehouse would probably die out before this

I have a idea through its dark what if The alicorns were killed not by old age by something else think about it each tribe could blame an alicorn or alicorns for what happend to them. It's a kid show and I dont think they will do this but it's an interesting thought
Dr Wolf: I've been wondering something, remember when Cosy Glow used Grogar's bell to take Discord's magic and briefly turned into a giant Alicorn... what if that wasn't just the bell turning her into such but rather that was really her true form and the cutesy looked she normally had always been a sort of disguise..? Also, I have been thinking about G2 lately, while I know the real-world reason why it didn't have its own cartoon, although it did have a video game based on it, suppose all the Generations were in some way (I've been trying to figure out a vast but not MLP '5000-year' timeline theory that incorporates all the Gens & retcons), What, in-universe, could have happened to the G2 era... could something terrible like a temporal anomaly have happened that basically 'erased' that time period from existence..?

Hell, someone pointed out the sisters looked miserable upon giving up their magic during Twilight's Kingdom, there's no way they be eager to give up ANY magic to anyone like that.
There is another possibility I see. Well 2. A. They both are separated and each have settled down somewhere, maybe even with family. This one's doubtful but still posible. B. They found Tirek and Scorpan's home and are trying to help there lands become peaceful. After All, Scopan and Tirek where supost to conquer Equestria. But Scorpan retured to try to spead what he learned in Equestria witch causes a divide in his home. After all if Tirek was alive in Tarturus for so long whoes to say his brothers not still alive. And even if he isn't the idea of his home this divide land, the Princesses may try and help.
Only Two Princesses left. Cadence and Flurry Heart. I'll wait for that video so this doesn't become 5 miles long (exageration but still)
Isnt it a thing in-universe that the cycle of night and day was controlled by the magic of ruling alicorns? We see in the g5 trailer quite clearly that both night and day exists, so how could that be if there are supposedly no alicorns left? Is it just that theres one doing it in hiding, or did twilight or someone at some point just cast a spell for days to progress naturally ?
Prob still retired we will prob see them but i doubt they will do anything as they have lost magic what can they do? I think we will see them or at least hear of them
I think there is a couple of answers that involved the Royal Sisters. But there is still the debate from the events of the series finale of G4. That is about the CMC not there when all of Equestria helped Twilight and her friends defeat the villains. I think it had something to do with Hasbro letting the Mane Six pass down their teachings to the Student Six leaving the CMC on the sidelines. But if The Mane Six should have passed the knowledge of Friendship to the CMC, that would be a different ballgame. But we will have to see when G5 MLP comes out and see what really happened to the magic of Friendship.
Twilight so lost in the grief of her friends death, and spike and discord unable to help, leave feeling helpless, maybe discord is also in grief, and communication with the two sisters is lost because of their distance from the kingdom, and the crystal kindom isn’t there because they have their own kingdom to deal with, as well as possible shining armors death would also bring sorrow to flurry and cadence, maybe their grief would leave a crack it’s started to grow, and with the faltering magic, maybe the stress was too much and maybe some of them left unable to handle it. But idk, those are just some of my rambling thoughts

The thing I've been stuck on is the day-night cycle. I mean we ALL know that Celestia and Luna are the ones to raise the sun and moon right? And the fact that in G6 the day-night cycle seems completely normal must mean that they're alive right?
Plus it's kind of weird how even though their isn't any magic or "harmony" that the windigo's haven't attacked. And where did all the Changelings, Griffins, Hippogriffs, Yaks yk all the other species go? What happened to ponyville and the crystal empire? What happened to Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis. Is tarter-us still active? Who is sunny's dad and why did he believe in friendship, who is Sunny's mother?
I've been oporating under the assumption that their dead of old age. However, they could be trapped in the crystal empire. We know it's magically isolated from equestria, and has a tendancy to litterally dissappear.
Most likely the ponies in charge have them locked away somewhere probably in stone. It's the most likely thing the power hungry and hateful leaders of the tribes would do.
Hey doc I was watching crusaders of the last mark and I notice that when Pipsqueak was showing how much money was in his Peggy bank did you notice that here was a dead fly that fell out of there what would Fluttershy say about that and do you find this dark because this would be the first time a dead animal pony or not that was shown on screen everyone press f for the fly 🤔☠️
It may be, with magic on the wane, that the sisters need to expend all of their energies just keeping the Sun and Moon in their proper motion, and thus are unable to do anything else.
