Fully heart watched her mother, she could tell she was in pain.
"I'll go," Cadence determined, "We can't let everything Twilight did to do waste. I'll use my magic in an attempt at restoring harmony."
Flurry nodded, she didn't want her mother to go but now that Cadence had made up her mind, she wasn't going to change it. The Royal Guards looked hesitant as well, but they knew the princess was stubborn.
"I'll come back as soon as I can," She assured her daughter, but as Cadence flew further and further from the palace Flurry knew deep down she would never see her mother again.
Flurry sighed, she had to protect the Crystal Empire. With her father's disappearance and her mother's comming death, Flurry looked to the guards.
"Lock the city, no one's getting in or out. We can use the Crystal Heart to keep us invisible like Sombra once did."
"But.. your mother?" One of the guards replied
"She's dying, she's not coming back," Flurry lowered her head, "And neither is Shinning Armor, I... I can feel it.."
The guards glanced at each other unsure, but did as the princess ordered. It was time to disappear. A war was comming.

Idk - she might be naturally born alicorn but there is no proof that alicorns live any longer than average ponies, natural or artificial. On the contrary there is evidence they dont - both Cadance and Flurry Heart age during the show. Celestia, Luna and Twilight only lived longer because the process of raising the sun and Moon is rejuvenating them.

Personally I see it as evident that Flurry Heart is the mother of Pipp and because she was born with wings she had a genetic mutation that made it so Pipp would have cloud like wings. Then with Zipp I think they probably resemble the father of Pipp. If not the Flurry Heart would be a forgotten character most likely and another character caused havick. It could also be that Flurry Heart played a role in the lose of magic in Equestria. Flurry Heart could of started to believe magic isn't real or bad because people could of bullied or made fun of her for being born with wings and a horn. Or it could be that Flurry Heart and Twighlight had a fight. Either way I feel Flurry Heart is either a main plot point or not in g5 at all.

I'm most certain that there won't be any G4 appearances in the movie, however, that doesn't mean that some descendants may not appear. Also, I believe that actual alicorns will have their appearance in the movie. So, hmm, we could have the "raised to Alicorns", Twilight and Cadence, passing away because they aren't "natural born Alicorns", and thus aren't immortal. That would leave the possibility of Luna, Celestia, and Flurry Heart being still alive in G5. They might even be ruling in some "far off" kingdom somewhere (Crystal Empire would work) as a kind of Triumvirate, where they fight to protect the idea that friendship is magic, but due to the paranoia of the current pony generation they can't expand the message outside the kingdom, hence the need for a new "mane 5" group of "friendship crusaders" to spread the word? As long as they aren't "woke" about it, which would just kill the series before it got started.

She literally says, and I quote, "The birth of an alicorn is something Equestria has never seen". That's not how she would react if she and Luna were born alicorns - she would say "Oh yeah my sister and I were born alicorns; but that was before Equestria was founded". Otherwise why would she terrify her friend and coworker Cadence by pretending she has no knowledge on the subject, and let her think her daughter was some kind of freak?
The way she phrased it makes it very clear that she and Luna were NOT born alicorns. That's not really the ambiguous statement people make it out to be - it's very clear-cut. And sorry, but show canon overrules a side story. I'm sure that at some point, it was planned for Celestia and Luna to be natural-born; but that was very clearly ret-conned with Flurry Heart. That is no longer canon.
EDIT TO ADD: That same journal also says Star Swirl lost his magic "forever", and that's also not true. So it's pretty clear that that book's not canon.

The fact Celestia did not clarify is the script writer's fault since they neglect to make it more clearer.
Its more likely the sisters were more focused on the fact a alicorn(that isn't natural-born) produced a natural alicorn offspring with a non-alicorn. That's whats truly baffling to them.
The book literally said the sisters RESTORED all the unicorns' magic when they got their cutie marks upon raising the sun/moon. Including Starswirl's magic.
Its STILL canon the sisters are natural alicorns.
Flurry Heart doesn't recon that.

If my theory is correct about the alicorns in G4 representing different aspects of equestrian mental health (Celestia as the princess of morale for all three types of ponies, Luna being the princess of personal confidence by dealing with fear through her dream walking, twilight princess of friendship, Cadence and Shining Armor dealing with marriage/romantic relationships, and Flurry Heart dealing with the relationships between parents and children), I can only see her appearing as a cameo or supportive character.
Whatever route they take, I hope she is portrayed as having a solid/good personality. Instead of only being remembered as "the cute baby" to sell toys. She could even just be a legend in a similar manner to the pillars without having to make a physical appearance and have more personality by default.

Here is my take on it: Flurry Heart, seeing that magic is starting to die, uses the crystal heart to turn every pony, herself, and even the buildings into inanimate very harden crystal to keep them from loosing their magic. If this turns out to be true, then there could be a episode where the main 5 find a way to bring everyone back, something that could be part of the key to bringing back magic and friendship to a divided world.

Well we still don't really know at this point whether Flurry Heart will appear in the film or not. We still got a long way to before we even know the actual story behind it. After all we don't know how the staff would put in to this but at least with paranoia and mistrust. We can't exactly know how the movie will turn out but at least we know it enough that G5 is supposed to expand beyond the land of equestria. I mean if we look back at all the Season 10 comics it may give us more ideas to see how far Equestria has really come before all this paranoia and mistrust happened. I mean we don't exactly know who the new or old villian is but I'm sure that the new or old villian would be the one that caused all the paranoia on everypony in equestria.

Well, another theory on what could had caused it is some say a civil war could had caused magic to disappear. Think of it like this, how did Equestria came to be? The 3 pony races (Unicorn, Pegasus and Earth) used to be 3 separate tribes, Windigos appeared and caused problems, the tribes came together to form the Country. Afterwards, Grogar ruled Equestria, a unicorn named Gusty tried to get help from the Pegasus tribe to help aid the war (So kind of like American history), Grogar is defeated. So a 3rd civil war could be possible, and that would split Equestria into 3 once again.

I actually had a really cool idea for integrating Flurryheart into G5.
Basically, she freezes over her Empire to protect it from the race war the other ponies were having. Cozy Glow climbs out of Tartarus and tries to take over the Pegasus kingdom so the g5 lot go to the Crystal Empire to seek help. They thaw out a shell that’s actually Flurryheart’s bed or throne (kinda wanted to play into the whole goddess of love business with her), Flurryheart awakens and awes the g5 gang. She helps them defeat Cozy Glow and defrosts her kingdom to enjoy the wonders of modern life.
I like the idea of g4 being referenced but being treated like an archeological thing. Flurry is very much a princess from a thousand years ago but most of the plot of g4 happened before she was even born so her memory of equestria is very foggy.
I especially am in love with the idea that she’d be amazed by the g5 world. She attends school despite being too old to simply because she wants to learn what happened whilst she was asleep; I imagine she’d frequently attend hair salons and would swoon over smartphones and runs a self love blog. She did always feel better suited for g5 in my opinion.
Also in my head you can see a crystal pony’s heart through their chests and they’re highly skilled cardiologists. Morbid but highly cute!

I've stated this theory in some of the prior videos, but I think Sunny could be a direct descendant of Twilight and Izzy is possibly a direct descendant of Pinkie, it could explain some of their known character quirks, and could make for an interesting side plot if they discover this by accident while doing something seemingly unrelated. But with Flurry Heart in the mix, this theory gets to pile on a few more things, like Flurry instantly recognizing a member of her now distant family because she had grown to know those specific eccentricities during her time growing up and visiting Twilight Sparkle and her friends, maybe even Twilighting about how similar in personality Twilight Sparkle and Sunny Starscout are and then yammering on about hereditary personalities traits until someone tries to politely interject to stop the deluge of information assailing Sunny, Izzy, and the rest of the main cast.
I suppose it would be a good idea to discuss the likelihood of any of the Main 5 being directly, or indirectly, related to the Main 6 in someway and the possible pros and cons of that sort of link, I also think it might be a good idea to discuss what is the magic number for members of the main cast being direct descendants of the main 6 and why (personally, I think just 2 being directly descended from the Main 6 would be the most, it would show a continued link to FiM/G4 while not giving off the impression they're trying to recreate the main group dynamics of the prior series). I feel like having 1 or 2 characters indirectly related to the Main 6, like being descended from one of the siblings or friends that weren't part of G4's main protagonists could also work with that, it would give off a feeling of some friendships can rekindle in new generations from older generations in a few different ways. But at the same time, I feel like if they say most of all the main cast of G5 are directly related to the Main 6 it will anger a lot of fans of G4 and sort of lock them out of a lot of potentially interesting stories because they've locked the main cast into this sort of structure that is forcing the main cast of G5 to learn the same lessons as those of G4 instead having a setup where they learn about a lesson of the past and have a different takeaway that is just as valid, and more era-appropriate for them.
Sorry, I rambled a bit. But still, I think this all stuff that should be discussed and explored, both in the series proper and as a community among the MLP fans.

It could be interesting. Because the Crystal Empire is technically part of Equestria, what fate that may have befallen the other alicorn princesses may not have happened to Cadance and Flurry. Either that or the Crystal Heart has has some unique protective qualities that kept the light and magic of the Crystal Empire from befalling the rest of Equestria. It would be interesting to see Cadance and Flurry Heart as the last nobility from old Equestria. Maybe they're trying to find out what happened to Celestia, Luna and Twilight, maybe they already know and are nudging our new protagonists towards the goal, maybe Izzy is in actuality a citizen of the Crystal Empire sent out to reunify the lands of Equestria.

@alaria smiss You make a good argument, but i'd like to make a counterargument. It would be plausible for Equestrian ponies to emigrate to the Crystal Empire as early as a few months after its return, some looking to take advantage of new business opportunities, others being sent to help the empire rebuild and reintegrate, others simply looking for a new start. There were even Equestrian ponies that served as Cadance and Shining Armor's body guards. Over time the Equestrian ponies would have intermarried with the crystal ponies and given enough generations, the Equestrian traits(round eye glints, non-crystalline fur) would have become recessive traits(kinda like red hair, left handedness and green eyes in humans). It doesn't entirely rule it out, but until we get some form of confirmation, it remains fully in the realm of headcanon.

If you look at the queen of the Pegasus and flurry heart they look a lot the same except she doesn’t have a horn is it possible she could’ve lost her powers in the future? If you are able to earn it to become an alicorn then im sure you are able to lose it just like cozy glow yk and I think sunny is scootaloos daughter because she almost looks exactly like scootaloo (and due to genetics she could have just had bad luck and was born as a earth pony and yeah because scootaloo was a filly when flurry heart was born and Sunny’s parents aren’t alive or are gone somewhere in the show and yeah and so if they are dead it makes sense that flurry heart would been retiring soon and so on yeah

As a long time Transformers fan who has seen many iterations of TF come and go . . . the thing to remember is that MLP is a toy advertisement and that's how Hasbro interacts with it. Not like a real world with a real history.
That's not to say shout-outs to previous gens are out of the question, but it's not going to hinge on continuity making sense, lol. The main audience is children, some of whom have never seen FIM and some of whom have seen reruns of, like, five random episodes out of order.
Example: In Transformers Prime the Autobots were best friends with three human kids. TFP ended and Hasbro started a new show, Robots in Disguise 2015, in the same continuity. RID 2015 was set just five years after TFP. Yet RID2015 never showed or even mentioned the kids from TF Prime. Instead Hasbro created a new best friend kid character for the bots to hang out with in RID. Because that was simpler than getting the kid audience up to speed on the old characters.
Basically, go into a new series expecting nothing from the previous series. Then you'll be pleasantly surprised if they throw you a bone.

I agree with the theory that the Crystal Empire went back into hibernation because they had reduced visitors and less love and friendship, shortening the range of the Crystal Heart. And as the heart's range shrunk, people would be forced to get closer and loose the old ways of getting into the city that causes reduced imports that probably helped feed them all until Flurry has to put the city to sleep and wait for help to arrive, which makes all crystal magic stuck in hibernation with them. And without the usual people coming in and out, the whole empire becomes a myth that people had forgotten about and cannot be freed until widespread magic returns

Given the fact that friendship is falling apart I believe if she is present she’d have a strained relationship with her mother of some kind which would make sense given the fact she’s an anomaly even amongst the princesses and she has no experience outside of being an alicorn which makes her world view very different from her mothers who had the experience of being a normal pony. I could also see her being an example of friendship amongst the different pony races as she was introduced to the cake twins and it’s likely the trio are friends to a degree given the likelihood that twilight would watch her and bring her around the cakes. So she could be used to give guidance to the mane five. Personality I can see her being similar to Luna caring but jaded given the facts she likely witnessed the breakdown at such a young age .

Why Flurryheart is a natural born Alicorn is actually very well explained in Sawtooth Waves' Alicorn theory.
I certainly could see her having had to keep the Crystal Empire safe for all that time work.
The hibernation idea would make the most sense as, if all magic is gone from Equestria and therefore the Crystal Heart lost its magic, wouldn't Flurry lose her magic too?
I can't see how she'd be fighting the storm back if she has no magic

This could possibly be a century or two in the future since we dont know how many years its been and so most likely all or almost all the characters from gen 4 could be gone and just be known for the accomplishments they've made. And it must be a really long way into the future if almost everyone forgot they used to be united.
Zipp also said in the movie after releasing sunny and izzy and going into their hide out "This was made a long time ago when we still had magic".
I would really like it if one day they were to find ponyville and uncover some of the past of why they were divided maybe even find a character like discord from gen 4.
