All I wanted to say was thank you for your video, I made the smaller one as I am in a smaller space but it turned out amazing! I’m so happy and your video helped a lot with measurements Thank you!
hey Tom thanks for the video - looks great - but where is the amplifier - where would you put that. Not sure where the sound is coming from in the video thx
@@richmaraviglia Hey man, so I put my speakers on speaker stands that go either side of the booth. I have KRK Rokit 5s :) The music in the video is just an underscore rather than actually being live :)
You Sir are a legend! I just bought some decks and been really unhappy about the height of two tables they on. Was looking for a solution and your vid popped up! Great job, I'm off to IKEA when its open!
Hey mate! That's awesome! Planned to build a similar one, funny to see other people having the same idea (honestly an obvious one, when look at the kallax from a dj perspective...)! PS: Can you tell me the name of the intro/outro song? I feel to know it, but I can't remember... :/
This is so cool and it look awesome! Definitely going to try something like this for my new turntables. Where did you hook up your speakers for the turntables?
I’ve seen some use smaller straight legs and make a second shelf so as to place an amplifier on the unit, as I doubt the Kallax shelves themselves are wide enough
Tom I don't think the capita brackets are available anymore. Which sucks. I'm in the US. I was trying to build this and can't find the capita or godmorgon. Any substitutes you know of?
Looks really nice 👍 I definitely would of done this a long time ago. Only thing is there isn’t any ikea stores where I live and to get it shipped it cost a lot! 😞
Cheers man! Turned out great - really happy with it! Yeah walking to say that Ikea delivery is sooooo expensive! 😂🤦♂️ I’m sure you could find another shop somewhere with similar items though? It’s all just flat pack stuff :)
Ah fair man! Did you put legs in the centre too?? All is fine my end with the decks etc but I haven’t filled up the cabinet with vinyls so haven’t tested how much weight it can take
is there any option for the middle area to have enough space for regular size dj controllers ?It seems like it wont fit under the added top shelf?what is the space between the metal stands if you don't mind ?
I was just about to drive over to Ikea to grab me a Kallax unit, until I realised that I have my desk turned to the side in battle mode, so the unit would not be wide enough for them to sit on :(
If anyone needs help with the maths just drop me a message on Insta or Facebook or something and I can explain properly!

Not a problem! Glad your booth has turned out well! Better get on the mixing now! 😂

Is your Kallax, regular white finish our gloss white? 🤔
Great video keep posting more about diy djing
Thanks for checking out the video! Will do - anything you’d like to see in particular!?

Ah thank you so much Jason! Glad I could help! It's a really great booth and actually looks really nice too. Very happy with it!
@@TomOneDJ you did a really nice job of that booth, it does look smart!
Great work dude!
Looks really professional
ah thank you so much dude! Appreciate the comment! Hopefully it's given you some inspo on how you can make one for yourself!
Thanks for your video, I was able to make my dj furniture thanks to you
Sick looks banging man
very informative video. cheers mate!
Fair play mate. Great video.
Very Nice. What type of turntables are those?
Hello, nice vid, what sizes legs did you use?
This is perfect but I setup my tables battle style so I would need 2 shelves

My speakers are on stands the go either side of the DJ booth!
I just didn’t set them up for the video in this case :)
Have you placed anything across the back of the individual binnacle to stop your records sliding through?
great work, that's awesome -
Love it!!
That’s a nice table but it seems that your mixer is underneath the laptop stand which would cause problems to use it correctly.
I have a 4 deck setup, wamting to make it 3 deck setup. Its a shame it doesnt quite fit 3.
Yeah would need to find a bigger unit for 3!
I’ve seen some use smaller straight legs and make a second shelf so as to place an amplifier on the unit, as I doubt the Kallax shelves themselves are wide enough
Yes you can do that! I've got separate speaker stands for my speakers as you're correct the shelf unit doesn't have enough space to put speakers on!
Tom I don't think the capita brackets are available anymore. Which sucks. I'm in the US. I was trying to build this and can't find the capita or godmorgon. Any substitutes you know of?
Same did you have any luck finding the brackets? How'd the table turn out?
@@YSiggy13 I did. Found them on Amazon - a bit more expensive. It turned out very nice.
@@YSiggy13 send me a pm and I'll forward the link
@@alreno76 I can't find the message option on your page? Can you dm me please? Thank yewwwwww!
Sweet.
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed!!
hey what's the name of the headphone bracket? cannot seem to find it planning to order and build :D
great video! thanks
Amazing stuff man hope the build goes well and thank you for checking out the video and channel :) the hook is called BJÄRNUM from Ikea!!
This is dope! 🔥👏
Haha thanks dude! It’s the LEDs that makes it right??? 😂
Tom One oh 100%! Future works: Crestron integration and touch panel control 😉
Ah yes! A crestron powered DJ booth would be siiiick!!! Might want to get a sponsorship though - would be expensive 😂
Looks really nice 👍

What's the shelf size?
42x147cm
77x147***
Possible problem with the legs. I did the same thing. The middle sections sagged under the weight of the vinyl.
Ah fair man! Did you put legs in the centre too?? All is fine my end with the decks etc but I haven’t filled up the cabinet with vinyls so haven’t tested how much weight it can take
@@TomOneDJ Hi! To the center, of course, too. But I think I overloaded it with vinyl.
@@AG4T ah fair enough man!! Thanks for the warning haha
In the future I think to use a sheet of plywood, it should give strength to the bottom.
@@AG4T That's actually a really good shout! :) definitely would help stop it from bending!

Great alternative to the overpriced light meta frame and a few sheets of lycra with a shelf which retail at from £250 upwards

Never seen someone's hands move around so unnaturally! 🤣😂🤣😂
Mine cost like 500 doll hairs and has the most unispirational sound quality.
The plural of vinyl is vinyl. Good lord.
😂😂 haha thank you for the clarification!
Decks wrong way mate. Good video though.
