The design work that has gone into this miniature and the not-tie-fighter is top notch, shame the instructions aren't so good, but hey, you can figure that stuff out. I really hope the person responsible for this model is still with FFG/AMG
I absolutely love all the paint scheme ideas people are throwing down. I think I'd paint mine in colors similar to Sebulbas Pod racer, and turn it into a "Dale Earnhardt" fan truck.
With vehicles coming on sprues, I think it would be a brilliant move to start putting random pieces of scatter terrain on there. Again, this model needs an LED in it.
The box art is underwhelming for this model. While it's not the prettiest model I'm surprised with how they chose to portray it. But after eating some comments I think this has some potential for some really fun paint jobs!

I bought into the Free Folk + Nights watch quite a while ago with the core set and some expansions, but was more into painting my Star Wars Legion models most of the time. And then a friend of mine bought me the Lannister vs Stark for my birthday and then I was suddenly collecting them too. The free folk is going well right now, and could be finished soon. For the nights Watch I have painted like half of my army, for the Lannisters I've painted 1 unit, and for the Starks... well I only painted Hodor.
With parts that MUST be assembled in a certain order, it's baffling why they release these without proper instructions (or at least access to the elusive online build guide).

As far as paint schemes for the A-A5, I don't think you can get better than either the A-Team van or the Mystery Machine

I’ll use the xtra Cad Bane head with no hat and make a Shriv co-pilot in a spare clone body or something

its a common vehicle in the RPGs from all the way back in the D6 days, its the same scale as RPG minis, so its got multiple uses

The AA5 truck looks like a RV camper van. I can imagine Obi-Wan and Luke roasting hotdogs around a fire with some ewoks beside the AA5

Little tip, construct the cockpit console before you put the sides on. Makes it a lot easier to build.

I was waiting for this video! I am trying to build up my rebel army and am picking up my A-A5 today.
You know when you showed the inside of the box I was expecting to see a large base as with the dewback debacle.
I’m vaguely disappointed you didn’t manage to put a nunchucks mod onto the mini somewhere - maybe a pair hanging from the weapons rack?

Quick question about the cockpit door: it looks like there is a slot at the top of the door way, can you slide the door in and out if you want too?
Only if you cut open the top pieces. It's not built to do that but wouldn't be a difficult modification to make.
