One of my abusers was my own damn father. I remember how it felt when members of my family knew the truth, and still chose to stand by him anyway. I forgave him... That forgiveness wasn't for him, it was for me. Forgiveness is all we can do to move forward with our lives, when we have been horribly wronged by the people who are supposed to care for us. Living in anger and bitterness has never done favors for anyone... I should know that. She spoke her truth now that she's older and no longer silenced, just as I have now that I'm older. Okay, I do feel that this wouldn't have cone out until it sounds like her brother was bringing it to light. I, however, do appreciate that no matter how forced he chose to step down instead of fighting it. I do believe that parts of his confession were honest. He did rightly point out that this wasn't hid to protect others, but to protect himself. I can't dog anyone for praying over him as a Christian we are to be forgiving and I would like to note that this is a large church and the camera doesn't show whether or not anyone was praying over the victim. Both parties need prayer here. I do hope that the claims about the assistant pastor are investigated as well as whether or not he truly repented(turned from) this behavior.
Ok I'm only 3:28 in and he's decided to confess his sins and embarrass his wife while preaching in, well I'm assuming in Sunday service. He's not a man of God. If I didn't know any other context about this, this is private and is everything is not for everybody.
