I change my Filter Socks (x2) every three days on the Reefer 350. I use the fleece type for the best water clarity. If I am going to be out of town when socks need to be changed I switch to the Mesh types and can get away with a week or more.

I rinse them out weekly, and give them a heavy cleaning about once a month. They'll usually last me about 6-12 months like this, but once they start getting thin, its time to change them.

I change my socks about once a week or when they get noisy. I'm glad you guys finally did a video on this roller mat. The 1.5" input is unique versus the other options on the market. I really like the rail design for the rollers. The only thing holding me back is the dimensions, they are a bit vague on the site. I would love a follow up video with more detail on the size and maybe use in a established tank.

I have a 2 4-inch diameter filter socks in my 60 gallon aquarium with a heavy bio load. So they get clogged ever three days to 5 days and thats when I clean and reuse them.
