Another good presentation, Doug! I like that belt axe & sharpening puck! I have a Hudson Bay Hathet made by Normark of Sweden which I purchased 40+ years ago whenI was serving mission churches in SE Appalachia; it is one of my favorites, but the Ned Foss Combo is very nice! I was late watching tonight's presentation because my wife & I had gone out to eat to celebrate our 58th anniversary! May God bless yo & yours. Pastor George down in NE Alabama
God bless you, Pastor George
Happy Anniversary!
Based on this review I decided to order one direct from NedFoss. $10 less that on Ebay. My card was declined because, in spite of indicating it was coming from PA, it actually comes from China. Had I known beforehand I would not have placed the order.
Sorry I missed the premiere, Cheers Doug
Nice to see you, Paul
Looks like a good one. I really like some of their knives too.
Thanks Doug.
CORRECTION: MY hatchet was made by NORLUND, not Normark. My mistake!
Good review Doug Shoe. This looks like an axe you would have, eventually forever, unless you lost it. Very impressive.
Thanks
Good looking hatchet and puck Doug , thanks for sharing , God bless brother !
God bless you, Michael
I have that same tool, it's a good one. I like the weight and the handle has nice grain with just the right amount of thickness. My grit is different, dark gray and lite gray, sharpens well. Nice video 🙂
Nice. Thanks for letting me know
I forgot to say that some of the wood you were chopping looked so hard that I thought that it might be "petrified!" Thankfully, it did not chip the cutting edge!
I believe that was oak that had dried naturally in the forest
😊thanks Doug 😊
hi Quinn
You change your shirt from camo to non camo
I was wearing an M65 jacket (woodland camo) over my shirt, and then took the jacket off
Where did you get this
NedFoss sent me one to review. You can check it out, and buy one if you want on their Amazon store. www.amazon.com/NedFoss-Chopping-Hatchets-Splitting-Bushcraft/dp/B0BDYS98HM/ref=sr_1_56?&keywords=axe&sr=8-56
This would make a really nice spoon carving axe it's about the right size
What's it made out of for steel
@@clayguinard3651 Their website says carbon steel. I'm guessing 1095 or something similar because it does throw nice sparks when hit with a hard, sharp rock such as quartz or chert
Yep, it performs like an ax.
