    Another good presentation, Doug! I like that belt axe & sharpening puck! I have a Hudson Bay Hathet made by Normark of Sweden which I purchased 40+ years ago whenI was serving mission churches in SE Appalachia; it is one of my favorites, but the Ned Foss Combo is very nice! I was late watching tonight's presentation because my wife & I had gone out to eat to celebrate our 58th anniversary! May God bless yo & yours. Pastor George down in NE Alabama

    Based on this review I decided to order one direct from NedFoss. $10 less that on Ebay. My card was declined because, in spite of indicating it was coming from PA, it actually comes from China. Had I known beforehand I would not have placed the order.

    CORRECTION: MY hatchet was made by NORLUND, not Normark. My mistake!

    Good review Doug Shoe. This looks like an axe you would have, eventually forever, unless you lost it. Very impressive.

    I have that same tool, it's a good one. I like the weight and the handle has nice grain with just the right amount of thickness. My grit is different, dark gray and lite gray, sharpens well. Nice video 🙂

    I forgot to say that some of the wood you were chopping looked so hard that I thought that it might be "petrified!" Thankfully, it did not chip the cutting edge!

      I believe that was oak that had dried naturally in the forest

      What's it made out of for steel

    • @DougShoeBushcraft
      @DougShoeBushcraft  Рік тому

      @@clayguinard3651 Their website says carbon steel. I'm guessing 1095 or something similar because it does throw nice sparks when hit with a hard, sharp rock such as quartz or chert
