My money is on AlpenFury. This may be the biggest and most unique coaster from Premier Rides as it uses up more space from the iconic Wonder Mountain, and it has inversions that have never been seen before.
Another great video Katie. I agree with you that AlpenFury looks to be the better ride. I can’t wait to experience and see how it fits in and around the mountain with the other coasters there. But, I’m also excited about my visit to Kings Dominion next year for Rapterra.
Canada’s Wonderland is my home park and I am beyond ecstatic to experience AlpenFury next year! Really enjoyed the analysis and your style of video too. Subbed! :D
A someone who experienced wonderland from opening in the 80's to now, this ride shocked me with how awesome it looks. I renewed my passes immediately with all of the perks to show my support to the chain with this announcement. I hope the Wooden coaster proposal for a new big out and back coaster in the back over White water rafting and action theater area. Sadly looking at the satellite the minebuster is on borrowed time for the water park to develop further. A new wooden coaster would allow for our old friend the minebuster to be cleared for further pools and slides.
Don’t get me wrong, Rapterra looks like a great ride. However, AlpenFury definitely looks more intense. Plus, AlpenFury was needed in our lineup. I’m very excited that it’s coming to my home park!! Great video, Katie!! Enjoyed this video 🎢💙
CW is my home park. Very excited for AlpenFury. I was just at Cedar Point and King's Island. People were asking me if it's 'worth it' to go to CW. I told them 2025 will be a great year to go to Canada's Wonderland.
It most definitely will be! So excited for Alpenfury! Canada's Wonderland is really a fantastic home park to have! Hope you enjoyed Cedar Point and King's Island! :D
Great video! Im really looking forward to the Canada's Wonderland Vlog! I agree that Alpenfury looks like the funner coaster! It might be the only 9 inversion coaster in North Ameeica open if Steel Curtain is closed. Alpenfury reminds me of the Volcano the Blast coaster replacement only its going to Canada's Wonderland instead of Kings Dominion. Rapterra looks fun as well! I enjoyed watching this!
@michael7054 Yes, absolutely! Can't wait for both of these incredible new coasters! Thanks so much for watching as always, Michael! Glad you enjoyed! :)
Great video! No brainer Alpen Fury looks like it'll leave your jaw on the floor just from the theming and way it interacts with everything around it alone.
It depends on what you’re looking at. Alpenfury obviously gonna be the more intense ride. Rapterra is going to be the GP favorite. The big issue, for both is going to be the ride ops and capacity. I’m definitely excited for both, but I think personally I’m more excited for Raptera because KD is my home park and I rode volcano when it first opened.
Nice meeting you and your group today at Hershey and thanks for sharing in my “First RMC experience”! Wildcats revenge is insane! ( I was the guy wearing the Voyage shirt….). Actually met a few other coaster buffs as well during my 2 days at the park.
I was watching a video on some of the construction going on with Alpenfury and apperantly part of this project is also to reinforce one of the upper levers of wonder mountain for a future ride.
I think they both give each park exactly what they need. CW doesn’t have a super forceful coaster with or without a launch so it’ll be awesome. Rapterra will be as awesome as a compliment to the intensity of Project 2025 and the RMC.
I had the pleasure of riding Thunderbird at Holiday World a few months ago and its really good. Best wing coaster out there. Rapterra looks like Thunderbird on steroids
So, out of the 2, I do think Alpen Fury looks like the better ride. However, I'd be lying if I wasn't a bit concerned about Alpen Fury in terms of capacity, especially since Canada's Wonderland brings in massive crowds. Also, I'm a little concerned that the trains for Alpen Fury might be a tight squeeze for the average person (after all, it is from Premier Rides). Still, Rapterra looks cool, but Alpen Fury does look like the better ride.
Wonderland confirmed in a interview that trains has been modified and won’t have comfort collars and also they have made more space adjustments for your legs
Idk about anyone else but i am one that counts rapterra plunging towards the ground making people lift their feet up a near miss. Doesn't always have to be an object
I think both will have their pros and cons. Capacity on both is a major concern though. Alpen fury I think will be a bigger draw due to it being more impressive as a layout. Rapterra will be good for the gp and overall crowds
Tbh rapterra looks like it’ll be the sleeper hit of 2025 looks to have some solid airtime moments and not to mention kings dominion confirmed there will be near misses
I don't know why they don't market it this way but with 9 inversions it is the most inverting launch coaster in the entire world not just North America.
I feel kings dominion was initially gonna get AlpenFury or a style of this ride and canadas wonderland was gonna get Rapterra then they decided nah....cause canadas wonderlands initial plan was a launch b and m but went with premier due to its $$ tag and the fact it was the best overall design. I'm pretty stoked as a Wonderland enthusiast for sure...however I can probably see wonderland getting the "Ziz" to complete the trio via B and M maybe wing or invert or brand new design in 2028-2030. Imo say goodnight to time warp and flight deck and it's essentially the perfect plot of land for it...sure you lose 2 coasters for 1...but flight deck and time warp isn't exactly the greatest lol.
Alpenfury would've been a great replacement for Volcano... I suppose Rapterra is a better fit for the park but as somebody who lives 2 hours from KD Volcano will still be missed.
IMHO rapterra wins by a mile because one alpenfurys layout is just 9 repetitive inversions and two alpenfury has no theming in the pov which in my mind means there’s odd no theming or the park thinks the theming doesn’t add to the ride in any meaningful way.
Not true at all they called it alpen fury because the new area where it will be is called alpen and is very themed to old villages style this ride will probably be the most themed in the park. Also the ride has a few inversion that were never seen
The only con of Rapterra and this may not be in the pov. But when I think of wing coasters I think of near miss elements. Like the two that gate keeper hads

With Alpenfury. We will finally have a 9 inversion coaster that actually operates.

Really all Alpenfury needs to do is operate at least 2% of the time and it will operate twice as much as Steel Curtain does.
Sad truth.

AlpenFury has the most inversions of any launch roller coaster Globally!

Alpenfury, not just because of the mountain launch which looks as amazing but the overall layout is long.
