I go back and forth on this. I appreciate the craft of handmade. Both need to be as close to perfect as possible when we are talking about bigger chains that are expensive. I'd prefer handmade, but I also don't mind a tight machine made either. The end goal is the same, a perfect chain, and in this day and age for jewelery I don't always want to pay more for handmade if the end product is essentially the same result. But I do appreciate my hand made jewelery more. My handmade shoes and suits and knives and whatever. The craft to me is what's important. But I'll wear either if the end product looks and hangs as it should.
from someone who owned both jacojes machine-made "miami" cuban link in 14k and an authentic handmade miami cuban link in 14k from reys golden cash at the same time, i can tell you that the handmade is a different beast. for me, my 8mm "miami" cuban from jacoje didnt sit at 8mm, it sat more like 7.75mm. it did come in at 125g. the box lock, while it does serve its purpose is simply too small on the underside that supposed to sit on your skin; it makes the chain twist. i went to my local jeweler here and deleted the box lock altogether and made the chain less prone to twisting, plus it looked way the hell better. with that being said, even after i deleted the box lock the chain would still twist but its wasnt as bad as with the box lock installed. my hand made cuban link has none of these issues. all thing considered, if all youre looking for is a solid gold cuban that gives you the look at feel, then the jacoje iteration will do just fine. if you are ALREADY considering if you want machine or hand made then it behooves you to find an authentic cuban link maker like reys and even dji cause you will be second guessing yourself later. i talked about my experience and what i did in my cuban link review. jacoje is a great company and will continue to buy and support when it comes to francos, ropes, figaros, even the accessories like rings and pendants. but as for cuban link, im sorry hand made is where its at.

Sorry B… I love your Franco’s but for me…. that handmade Cuban had tighter links, a nicer profile (curvature/rounding of the chain) and nicer colouring in my opinion. After buying my 5mm 18K Franco from you guys, I’ve been on the hunt for an 8mm 18k Miami Cuban and I gotta say… from everything I’ve read or seen… Daniel Jeweller’s is gonna get my business on that front. I love their diamond sleek lock as well! I don’t much care if tighter links give a few kinks if they get jumbled up. If it’s on my neck…. there’s nothing to get kinked or jumbled up.
Handmade only for how the links are tight and the shape of it. Looks more old school Cuban. Would need a better clasp and don't like how it gets tangled :/ Tho maybe not all handmade links are like that. Dream chain.
I prefer the handmade . For the tighter links and obviously you may have some variation in the links because it’s handmade but I’m ok with that it usually means more weight . I personally own a 7mm Miami Cuban from Daniels jewelry in FL . Yes the links may kink when you just drop it in your palm and pull back out but it’s cause the links are nice and tight and it’s not a big deal it goes back in place with no issues . The one I have hangs straight they do great handmade chains and box lock I personally have the sleek lock.
Handmade is the way to go. I've got a couple and I wouldn't have it any other way. You price your Cubans similar to handmade when it reality, machine made should be cheaper.
Every hand made Cuban I’ve owned had issues. Whether it was the box lock figure 8’s snapping off after only a few months of use, or too tight links causing kinking, the box lock getting stuck and not being able to pull apart again etc etc… machine is going to always be almost perfect. Yes with handmade you have the whole “craftsmanship” aspect but when popular makers are having to churn out thousands of orders by hand, they are blowing through the process…they are not precision crafting every single time it’s just not going to happen.
I like the tighter. But the color of the machine. I live close to Miami. But still bought from Jacoje. Thank you again for all the fire give always. Happy new year’s! That ring is beautiful. Stay blessed. PVC ###
I've had pros and cons on both machine made and handmade, however the current Miami Cuban chains that I own today are pretty much perfect and I'm happy with them. If you run into one that's has issues like turning to much, inconsistent links, a few spaced out links, gaps flanking the box lock or bulging links which don't lay flat and even with other links etc, you could perhaps sell it or have it melted into a new one.
I respect you Jacoje but tbh that “hand made” example was garbage and you know it! Please redo this video and actually compare a hand made Miami cuban link chain that is actually made by a Cuban in Miami! It doesn’t even need to be from DJI specifically as there are a handful of great makers to which I’m sure you already know who they all are since there are tons of UA-cam reviews on them.
It has always been that handmade, assuming the maker is highly skilled, made the better piece. Higher quality and more robust. However, I am noticing that the newer machine made pieces have really improved on quality and durabilty. So, in my opinion both are good. I would take either.
Nice chain! I love your chains ⛓️ but recently I had to purchase a heavy link from one of your competitors!! Because you didn't have in stock!! Hawaiirope chains ⛓️ heavy link is exactly like yours! Same quality 👌 great little jewelry company! Like jacoje jewelry ✨️
You gone have to do better video my man when u try to show the so called twirling you need to step back so we can see the whole chain and you need to not be holding it so as to not turn the chain your self making both chain have a controlled experiment getting clean results
I have a gus villa 10mm cuban bracelet, and it is spectacular! My buddy has a cuban bracelet from jacoje, and handmade is the way to go no doubt. Any other link such as franco, heavy link, jacoje is the man.
Can you please tell me what causes a Miami Cuban to want to twist/flip when wearing? I Purchased an 8mm 22” .925 weighing 74g’s and it won’t lay flat it’s very disappointing. Thank you
Colouring is to bright for me on his chain in this vid. I prefer a darker yellow but my preference is for 18K or above. The 18K Franco I got from Jacoje is spot-on!
@@beri232 I also have a 18k Franco bracelet from Jacoje and it is my fav. The color looks so good! I agree with you on higher purity coloring. I like higher purity fore yellow gold only. On my screen the other cuban looks like brass for some reason. 😊
I have a Miami handmade Cuban Link. After a year of research my options were Jacoje and the Miami handmade. I only chose the one from Miami because I wanted a handmade Cuban link. Overall not disappointed but if I were to get another one, it would be from Jacoje. Thanks for sharing Braden.
Hi Braden, thanks for the informative video. Love the look of the machine made version to be honest. The links might be slightly less tight, but I actually much prefer the link design overall. Thanks and Happy New Year to you guys. Take care, Rich.
High quality man made is the best choice. Machine made is fine too. But if you want to support the industry and humanity. Support the little guy, the jeweler who is true to the tradition and history of jewelry making. Someone who is a craftsman who put in years of learning the art and years of work into their job and creations. It's like the difference between having a meal made by a very good chef compared to eating a microwave dinner. You'll have more appreciation, satisfaction and will remember the meal fondly by the chef for a very long time. The microwave dinner you'll forget not long after eating it. There is something very special and rewarding in buying and owning quality jewerlry made by hand.
I’m always a fan of the hand made from Miami links but the quality from an Italian made is also hard to beat. I say anything under 6mm is machine made and anything over is hand made.
I’m an every day chain kind of person so I don’t really like the box locks since it would dig into your neck while sleeping, etc. if I had to choose, I would choose machine made assuming the quality control is better, but I could be wrong. All in all I’d rather just have a 6 mm Franco or a 6 mm Jacoje curb or a 5.5 mm flat curb. Again, because I am an every day chain person I’d like to be able to shower, swim, sleep and sweat while working outside, etc. without having to take my chain off just like I do with my flat curb chain now. SMASH!
I have to agree with you. I like the machine Cuban link better. But you would have to research everything. Humans make mistakes and machines should not make mistakes. But I guess it's the luck of the draw as to what kind of chain you get. This video proves that Jacoje Linx is truly honest & upfront with its customers. In all honesty how many customers even ask how & who made the chains when they order them? Most customers would not even think to ask until Braden posted this video. I think you guys are the best. Thank you for sharing your videos. I always look forward to them. I truly hope you have a blessed New Year. Stay well & safe everyone.
Looking to the jacoje community for some guidance here, after years of watching jacoje videos I finally received a 3.5 mm rope chain as a gift this Christmas from my dad and I love it more than any possession i own. I just want to know if I can wear it 24/7 without worrying about durability issues. I’d be devastated if anything happened to it but I want to wear it all the time because of how much it means to me. Please help!
You’ll be fine using that as a daily wear. It’s not that large. The only thing I would be leery of is if it were 22K or higher…. then I would limit wear time to special occasions.
I don’t have experience with rope’s personally however my father has been wearing a 4mm rope since before I was born over 32 years ago never takes it off. Still holding strong..
I think if you go to Daniel jewelry inc in Miami they make the best handmade Cuban , I had a handmade 4.5mm Cuban a while ago and it kinked up alot. It’s hard to get a handmade Cuban perfect but to me the hang straight test doesn’t matter. As long as it’s not twirling around like crazy a little curve doesn’t bother me. I also don’t like the button locks if it flips and digs into your neck that’s not gonna feel good lol. Other then link tightness I think jacoje machine mades are amazing and worth it rather then waiting 5-10 weeks for a chain to be made. Jacoje quality is top notch
Low key gotta go get it from daniel jewelry inc from Miami for a cuban mine never kinked if it did ,it was because I slept with it but that box lock are both trash in my opinion. Daniel box locks are the best tbh.
I purchased my cuban link chain from you 8 month's ago and till this day I'm still happy with it. don't Care if it's not a handmade cuban it's still a cuban necklace.
Handmade all the way. Tighter links look cleaner and I prefer the darker color. Bright yellow cubans just look tacky. Plus, as a jeweler you should know that the “hang straight test” doesn’t actually matter 😂 But what do I know…I buy all my cubans in white or rose gold 🤷🏽♂️
Interesting, I have a 5mm cuban from Jacoje, at some point I plan on getting a bigger size, 7-8mm, always figured as the links get bigger man made was the way to go. Much to consider
Love the topic of the vid, but yea definitely scoop from one Miami, probably Daniel Jewelry Inc, and run it back. That cuban looks janky even down to the color, and that lock is certainly not made in house, didn’t have that synergy with the rest of the chain. Looked like just another cheap purchased box lock.
Braden, I demand A video about this gorgeous Sapphire ring!!! Long time subscriber, never won anything yet. I demand A video 😂. Raquel get on him, sick pepper on him lol. ❤ J Williams from Halifax NS. Ps I know this isnt A give away im just always watching 🤷🏿♂.
Whats the Lengths & Weights .... them Cubans are 100% different to my eyes 👀. One is more like a normal link & hand made looks more like how a cuban should look. Is that the grid and polish shaping by hand. To be honest you need 6 or more makers and compare. Regardless all beautiful and im sure anyone would be proud as hell to own such a chain.
My 7mm, Jacoje Cuban link is my favorite piece that I own. Carlos G San Antonio, TX In case you want to bless a boy with one of those chains to match! Lol.
@@johnnyninetytwo by doing research before hand, ensuring they’re reputable, asking questions..whether it be word of mouth, a review online. That’s how I found Jacoje. If you’re the first customer they’ve had, then goodluck.
I checked Daniels, Gus, Reys, CMG. I ended up going to a tight machine made one. Why? For the same price per gram, I could buy 14K instead of Daniel’s 10K 😂. 4weeks or more (many people on UA-cam say they postpone sometimes up to 11 weeks) after dropping couple grands sounds painful to me. CMG was the best priced among all handmades listed above, about $500 handmade premium over tight machine mades, but wait time is 2-4months.
JACOJE ❤ All DAY, other jeweler’s, NO WAY☝️🌎 Now you know EVERYTHING you’ll ever need to know about Jewelry, and what to tell your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren 👍 You’re Welcome ☺️
Listen if you don’t want to sell that handmade one and bought it just to compare for the video I’ll take it so I can retire this tired silver Miami Cuban lol I know I’m so funny 😂🤣😂🤣 I would love to own one but another great video Braden and smash 👍🏻I know it’s not a give away but William T Hahira ga 😂🤣😂🤣
this guy really doing yall dirty, dont buy a cuban unless its from miami or close to miami, otherwise ull get a chain with a lock that looks like both of these. Daniel jewelry inc or las villas. your welcome
The one ur sellin is not a miami cuban link. That is just a regular dog chain link. Cubans are tight like the one on the right and filed flat on top.. also its common sense "hand made" is made by hand with human error... they are more likely to twist and not be flat its just the way it is, some craftsmen get them perfect some dont depends on the day.
Yeah 😂 he would go with the machine made option because that's what he sells and he needs you to buy it from him so yeah obviously 😂 but in all honest Americans like to spend money on jewelry that is low quality grade machine made jewelry has no value another then selling it in scrap because nobody will buy it plus with machine made you can not add your initials or stuff on your chain so yeah
Kinda bias video lol. He showed the hanging on machine made chain but not handmade? I can attest. I’ve had both and though he’s right about the kinks, the hand mad Cubans just look better. Machine made didn’t kink but didn’t look as good. Swapped mine out for a handmade. Looks waaaay better. Look at the links!! Way better “Miami” Cuban imo. But you will get everything that comes with those dope tight links-“KINKS”
Here's my thoughts. I've had 6 Miami Cuban chairs, hand made and machine... my preference is machine-made all the way. You don't have any problems or inconsistencies in the links like you get with hand made. If your going to spend the money you want something that's perfect, you're only going to get perfection from a machine.
Ehh.. if im buying a cuban link i want the hand made... and would want to get it from a known handmade cuban link maker from miami.... could care less about it being "perfect"... which is subjective anyways.. perfect to me would be hand made by a reputable cuban link chain maker... any perceived "imperfections" would just be counted as indicators of authenticity.... and i would especially not want anything machine made and plated.. plated shit give a fake vibe to me and im just not about it...
Bro I love your stuff but the handmade looks a lot better with the tighter links. Noticeably better
Definitely prefer the look of those tighter hand made links but both options look great. Really down to preference of how you like the links to look.
Handmade all the way. Of course Brandon would be an advocate for machine made because that’s all he sells. Everything is machine made elsewhere. You cannot beat handmade chains. Especially from DJI or even goldefever. The attention to detail is everything ✨

No offense, but the machine made kind a looks like cheap chain flattened slightly, and the handmade is gorgeous, tight thick links

Hi do you offer any discount codes for multiple purchases? I’m in the market for chain an bracelet could you offer me any type of discount?
Whats the Lengths & Weights .... them Cubans are 100% different to my eyes 👀. One is more like a normal link & hand made looks more like how a cuban should look. Is that the grid and polish shaping by hand.
To be honest you need 6 or more makers and compare.
Regardless all beautiful and im sure anyone would be proud as hell to own such a chain.
My 7mm, Jacoje Cuban link is my favorite piece that I own.

San Antonio, TX
In case you want to bless a boy with one of those chains to match! Lol.
Nope! Not give away time lambe
Handmade cuban link all the way!
Hey Braden your your Cuban links are better hopefully I win one haha
We need some daniel Jewelry, Las Villa, for comparison locks are way better.
I’ve had both, a machine made 5mm and a handmade 6mm Miami cuban.. I prefer handmade, ordered locally and my advice is you buy the seller first.
I buy the seller first ? How
@@johnnyninetytwo by doing research before hand, ensuring they’re reputable, asking questions..whether it be word of mouth, a review online. That’s how I found Jacoje. If you’re the first customer they’ve had, then goodluck.
@@RGee93 100%!
Run it back can we see one from Miami handmade
That handmade is way smoother and tighter looking I’d go with it all day long the machine made us nice too not hating but that handmade can’t be beat
To biased on this review! The man made links are way better other ones are no good.
Giveaway winners??
CMG Links for the handmade Cuban. Jacoje for the Franco‼️
👍Smash 👍
I checked Daniels, Gus, Reys, CMG. I ended up going to a tight machine made one. Why? For the same price per gram, I could buy 14K instead of Daniel’s 10K 😂. 4weeks or more (many people on UA-cam say they postpone sometimes up to 11 weeks) after dropping couple grands sounds painful to me. CMG was the best priced among all handmades listed above, about $500 handmade premium over tight machine mades, but wait time is 2-4months.
Good stuff
Handmade cuban links from miami are the best !!!!!!
JACOJE ❤ All DAY, other jeweler’s, NO WAY☝️🌎 Now you know EVERYTHING you’ll ever need to know about Jewelry, and what to tell your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren 👍 You’re Welcome ☺️
Lmao
Handmade is so damn nice.
Daniel and lirys is the best way
this guy really doing yall dirty, dont buy a cuban unless its from miami or close to miami, otherwise ull get a chain with a lock that looks like both of these. Daniel jewelry inc or las villas. your welcome
The jacoje cuban has a better shine
Im saving to get a daniel jewelry inc cuban link. Everything else jacoje.
Handmade definitely
The handmade looks more dull but I like that look better
Beautiful....
@bestgrammejacoje_lynx really?
You gotta run it back with a cuban link from Miami.
Man I wish I was rich and could just buy everything I want that I see in these videos
Handmade looks better than Machine made. The Machine made look reminds me of a hollow cuban
Yeah 😂 he would go with the machine made option because that's what he sells and he needs you to buy it from him so yeah obviously 😂 but in all honest Americans like to spend money on jewelry that is low quality grade machine made jewelry has no value another then selling it in scrap because nobody will buy it plus with machine made you can not add your initials or stuff on your chain so yeah
handmade is the way to go. get one from miami with a handmade lock. theres a huge difference.
Bias because all he sells is machine made.
Machine made is always better quality but can a machine make bigger chains
💚
Yo Braden and Raquel! You guys should make a personal jewelry collection video and explain when where and how you got each piece
The handmade is much nicer
Here's my thoughts. I've had 6 Miami Cuban chairs, hand made and machine... my preference is machine-made all the way. You don't have any problems or inconsistencies in the links like you get with hand made. If your going to spend the money you want something that's perfect, you're only going to get perfection from a machine.
Definitely machine made is the way to go
Ehh.. if im buying a cuban link i want the hand made... and would want to get it from a known handmade cuban link maker from miami.... could care less about it being "perfect"... which is subjective anyways.. perfect to me would be hand made by a reputable cuban link chain maker... any perceived "imperfections" would just be counted as indicators of authenticity.... and i would especially not want anything machine made and plated.. plated shit give a fake vibe to me and im just not about it...
Hand made all day everyday .
The handmade but don’t care for box locks. Box locks are ugly .🤷♂️
Agreed if I'm getting it hand made always go for no lock
Definitely agree
