I love these chains, I have a longer one in 18 Karat that today I retired to safe keeping, but I just purchased one of these thicker ones in 14 because it just called to me. Been wearing a Cuban Link in Miami since I was 18, I'm almost 50 now and I agree 100%, the Cuban Link chain is a work of art! They are not perfect, you can see they are handmade, that is the part of these chains that I love the most. 150G working my way up to 300 soon. I also wear mine inside my shirt. I wear my chain for me not anyone else, I love the way it makes me feel.

I got a 24” 8 mm from las villas. I do the same, rock it in my shirt.. wise woman once told me that it leaves more to be desired when you don’t have to “show” what you got.. the look from the neck is enough. I’m 45 too and from bird rd.

I like the smaller ones. I always like the 18” inside the shirt. Those long chains look silly to me, unless the wearer is seven feet tall.

It is called Cuban Link Chain because it was first designed in Cuban enclaves of Miami. This also explain why it is also called Miami Cuban Link Chain. During the early seventies, when the Hip-Hop Culture was in its early budding years, and was not as popular as it is today, the Link Chains were forged right where this new music genre was taking its roots.

The figaro is a cheaper version of a curb link because it uses less gold to keep the longer length of the chain people want. Like you said the Miami Cuban Chains are where the “curb” like links are basically twisted until they are nearly touching together in a solid piece of precious metals (silver, gold, platinum) and when filed down it gives it the nice look and allows the chain to be able to move easily with the tight links. I’ve always liked the way 18k gold looks the most for general jewelry and using 22k for pendants or other pieces that aren’t going to have much pulling on them. Personally I won’t waste my money on anything below 14k. I agree with you on the white gold because if I was gonna go for a silver look but with a metal that doesn’t tarnish easily to prevent a ton of significant cleaning. If I would get a silver/white gold jewelry I would go for platinum personally because it looks really nice and is really strong as well. I’ve been starting to get the equipment to start making jewelry as a hobby and starting with Miami Cuban bracelets/chains in silver to start so as materials are wasted it isn’t as large as a loss financially. I’ve been sitting on a ton of silver and a bit of gold as a store of wealth and to hedge against inflation over the years (buy in the dips of the cost of metals over time) and I figured it would be nice to be able to take the bars of precious metals to turn them into stuff my wife and I can wear. I’ve been looking into sourcing precious gems as well and have got a good supplier already lined up that has good prices for buying small orders. Eventually it would be nice to make the hobby into a business that we can pass down to our families to help give everyone opportunities over generations. My wife has a few nieces and a nephew who are really into art and this is a type of business that will help give them a great opportunity to be able to showcase their artistic abilities and learn the jewelry trade. We plan to start it as a hobby and letting the kids to start to work on some pieces of jewelry themselves (we will have them do some minor chores to make cash for the precious metals to use in their jewelry for themselves and they can use our metals to work on their skills. The oldest niece is starting high school this fall and is in a computer based art forms of many different with 3D printing and CAD as a couple of the bigger examples. I already have a resin 3D printer that will work great for pouring casts, I have an electric crucible but will make a gas forge with my fabrication/mechanical/technical/chemistry for science majors/process technology skills I’ve developed over the years that I think will help with the entire process.

Just finish items well. Check out the luxury watch products. Anything finished like a JLC or Zenith watch case will draw praise.
I try to buy from artisanal silversmiths and goldsmiths, but my standard is my watch. If someone can do that with steel, I should get at least as good in precious metals.

Couple questions Eric: sturdiness wise is a sleek lock better than a box lock (handmade of course)? Also in your opinion if you were to get a Miami Cuban bracelet and ring combo, should they be the same size or one larger than the other?

have a small chain and bracelet, both Cuban link. But I also do rock daily a Figaro bracelet. To me those as well are still in style, like it more in the summer, somehow. Still, the Cubans feel great and look great. And you are right, the chain is thinner than the bracelet and it does match better.

Eric. I loved your video. But I do want to add a comment about what u said about the hand straight test. I do agree with the smaller MM with this BUT , with a large MM I have to tell u this. I bought an 18k 20mm 21in 755g Miami Cuban link chain from Daniels jewelry Inc. He told me the only way it was going to sit flat on my neck with no kinks or twists was it had to be made with a twist to it to sit perfectly flat. If u hold up my chain it totally twists practically all the way around BUT sits perfectly flat on my neck and looks absolutely gorgeous. 💪👊👍

I must say, your channel is somewhat addictive👍. Large Investors need to understand the content of investing completely differently than small investors do. Warren buffett once said that if he has one million of capital to invést he would grantee a return of 40% per annum. It would be very interesting to understand the different valuation method for valuation investment. But my question is how does this average investors/ newbies understand the market price? Doiy technical analysis can be quiet different, which is why most newbies/traders neglect day trading their coins and stick to holding which is very dangerous as when the market goes bearish. My advice any newbies/trader to buy the dip for traders who are still wondering to enter the market or old time traders who are holders to seek help from not just any trader but an established trading expert with at least 96% trading accuracy. I underwent series of trâding looses I'd best not to talk about before i was introduced to trâding analysis Dr Nicholas Steven Robert. Fantastic. Wondering if the "iced-out" lock is recommended for daily use? This is a chain that I'm planning on never taking off. Will the diamonds fall off with the daily abuse? Should I better go with the all-gold to be safe? Really want the ice, but how strong is it?

There are a lot of good reputable Miami Cuban link manufacturers in the Miami/Hialeah area and elsewhere in Florida. Since you don't manufacture, you buy from others. I live in Las Vegas so I can't go running over to FL to check out the various shops in person. But I know from my personal preference that I like 18kt or higher and I like the gold look not yellowish. Your tastes don't seem to be mine but thanks for your ideas. Ricardo in LV

Platinum was once double the price of gold. That's why people still think of it as the ultimate precious metal, despite now practically being half the price of gold.
It is so labour intensive though that items in platinum end up usually costing more than the equivalent in gold (jewellery, watches..)

Platinum is so badass and wears so much heavier than gold. Tempted to load up on platinum coins right now because they are so cheap at the moment.

It’s also 95% pure platinum, while gold is usually 58-75% (14-18kt)

Hey Eric. I might be interested in a Cuban link bracelet. I know you don't recommend it. But I want it in 24k gold. What's your contact info? Thanks brother.
