I used to do soduko puzzles and since all this mental health stuff started I find them impossible. So the cognitive impairment is too real! Every little step matters!
yes this is true
This is so heartwarming. The cognitive impairment is real. I suffer from depression. I also play the accordion, mostly French music such as musette waltzes. When I am depressed my technique decreases noticeably. I cannot play as fast as I would like. My coordination is much worse as if my fingers lost their agility. I make mistakes, etc.
How long have you been dealing with schizophrenia
@@adelineherndez8178 No schizophrenia. Just generalized anxiety and depression. But it has stuck to me for years and I am still dealing with it currently, while improving my own metabolic intervention.
Food is our first medicine. Your improvement is so impressive!
It was neat to scroll through all your shorts. I gotta say, you look great with any length hair. You are naturally pretty and your bright attitude and infectious optimism make you even more attractive. Thats just my 2c
We have that puzzle, and it really is hard! And I grew up doing some pretty serious puzzles with my family 😂
i've gotten better over time after 5 years of recovering from acute psychosis, when i got into the welfare system, started to participate with the recommendations and advice given, stepping out of comfort zone, challenging myself, playing chess, working out, gaining mass, getting outside the territory i'm comfortable in and exploring new things, although i got smarter too, sort of, i'm relatively much better functioning than i was a teenager or pre-pubescent. I have PDD-NOS, psychotic disorder - nos, anxiety disorder, OCD.
That’s huge! That means your visio-spatial skills are improving!!!❤
That is absolutely amazing! Those of us who have cognitive difficulties understand and are as excited as you are. For those who don't get it, forget about em'!
I can agree with this. (I started following your channel because my mom is schizophrenic) but I am on the keto diet and I can 100% agree that my brain works much better on healthy fats than carbohydrates.
I used to have chronic brain fog and short-term memory issues with anxiety attacks, mood swings, and unhealthy and impulsive behaviors. I was diagnosed celiac, and after eliminating all traces of gluten, and lower carbs overall, I have greatly improved my mood, social interactions, memory, and stress. I didn't really have the best coping skills, but now my insight is so different. I always thought it was just a gastrointestinal and malabsorption problem, but diet affects my overall psychological well-being!😊
I'm happy for you. I have bipolar disorder, and once I found a therapy that worked well, my cognitive abilities substantially increased.
If I may ask, what therapy was it?
@@OfficialRogue Seroquel. After some time it stopped working, so later I switched to the combination of keto and lamotrigine
@@Igor_lvanov Interesting. I am on a lithium lamotrigine combo right now, but was on seroquel before and can hardly imagine that other people would like it. It is so sedative, my cognitive functions declined, I wasn't as aware of my own emotions and thoughts anymore, which made it so hard to actually work on myself. It changed me entirely. (I was on it from when i was 15 to 30)
And I am happy with your improvement too! It's nice when it happens! Gotta cherish each one of those!
Could the improvement be due to the huge cut in anti psychotics that you've had since you've gone on the keto diet?
That’s awesome have a great day
Im happy for your improvment I struggle with shcizoprenia also im from North Macedonia im 27 years im a /M\ i will try keto also thx for share
Congratulations!
These videos will save my life.
Adorable. Adults need to play because never stop learning.❤❤❤
Yes! I’m very happy for you! ❤️
the puzzle is hard not because your intelligence is low, but rather the problem is in the shape recognition of your brain, your intelligence reflects on your ability to go beyond the shape abstraction and finish the puzzle, which is brilliant!!!. For a normal human being the task will be equivalent if she takes hallucinogen before the puzzle, which then becomes very difficult to complete
As a Developmental Specialist I can tell you that is too hard for most toddlers. I would say it is more like a Kindergarten puzzle. I am proud you got it done!
I’m so happy to see you !!! You’ve been missed
This is awesome! I am happy with you and for you. Best wishes :)
Well done! Props for the persitance and keeping on trying. Very impresive stuff.
Ever since I got this I have gone to smart to very dumb . I try understanding and know how to do things but it's difficult for me . But I still try my best
I would love that one. Looks fun.
That's very exciting!
I enjoy watching you talk.
Keep up the great work
That’s great!!!
Can you share the cognitive functioning test Nicole gave you? Curious to use it myself
That's great well done.💛🌼🦋💕
So happy for you!🎉
You are awesome
Amazing!!!🥰
Awesome
Cute puzzle
I can see how you'd have a hard time with it. Looks like it takes a lot of attention and focus. It doesn't look easy let's put it that way. Good job!
I noticed when I was on a lower dose of psych meds I got smarter too and then a brush of psychosis came a week or two later
It’s a struggle but such a hard time to pass the test great Lauren day 1 least start again 😊 bye 🙋♂️
❤
Wow.
❤❤❤
Very heartening to see you coping with real life are you sufficient to do complex work like say a project report preparation, I'm also a recovering schizophrenic but lost out much of my working yrs because I found impossible to function n understand complex office work.
🥰🥰🥰
🎉
❤❤❤❤
I want to get better but my schizophrenia keeps me from concentrating
Good job. My brain functions better without medication too, but the psychiatrists don't believe me. Keep up the good work. And don't forget to pray to Jesus.
It’s probably more of attention span, willingness to follow through with an intention.
😂😂 That's cool
do you make your kids eat keto?
No.
Wow I feel the same way but it's only when I'm on my neurontin also known as gabapentin . I feel like I can control my schizoaffective disorder especially the visuals that I see. I know I'm not the only one anyone else.
Brandon Howard says "Ask your doctor today for Neurontin® also known as gabapentin!"

🤣 😂
you don't know that the keto affected your ability to do the puzzle, didn't you ever do science in school?
Lauren, is it possible to meet with you privately. I need to create my own care team and would greatly your thoughts. Thank you for the wonderful support you give to this community. You are an inspiration and give sooo much hope. 🤍☀️🤍☀️
I love this story! I’m not wired for puzzles so I completely understand the sense of accomplishment 😂 🧩
Odd puzzle 🧩. Not sure if I could do it right off the bat either.
Well done lovely! 🩷 That is actually a good thing as disability and mental health can make things we used to find easy hard.
The fact its improved is an awesome thing
❤
