her songwriting is just incredible. "Circle of pine and red oak/Circle of moss and firesmoke" is so simple but so evocative, and this song is full of lines like that

Adrianne is a treasure. Found out about her a few years back when a friend of mine was playing her while she was giving me a ride home. Stayed mesmerized by Hours Were thr Birds for weeks after that and haven't missed an album since.
To be able to capture a certain feeling when you go through a painful separation. And to make it so beautiful. Feel lucky to get to hear this.
