You are so right to say that borrowing money for school is wrong. I keep asking myself as to why millions of people do not see that just going to school is not enough because just a very small percentage of those who finish school will get a job. In my opinion, education is a big business for the government and those with private school. Why? Because the children are not taught skills that be used later in their lives.
I totally agree with you. Even though I did graduate from University, I did not go into debt for it. I earned a partial scholarship after High School, so I did not have to borrow money for college. When I was 10-16, I was helping working at the family restaurant in USA, New York State. Looking back, even though at certain times, work was stressful and the hours were long, I kind of enjoy working with my family. Families should find ways to stay together, work together, and enjoy life with each other. These days, I'm spending so much time alone. it gets lonely, but I would watch your videos. Here in India 70% people invest all their money on English Medium schools. Here donation for Lkg admission is 1 lakh in small cities. And in Metro it goes 3 times
I dropped of school at 6th grade, entered college at 30 on grant money. This was exposure to to things that were not in my work or social environment. I was told that I would not pass the entry requirements, yet, I did and spent 2 years on grant money exploring. I did not choose a course to follow, which would have caused me to spend money. The internet can provide higher education if you know what your looking for 😊
His TEDx video has billion plus views but later videos are not that popular.. I wonder how come such an original thinker and pathfinder attract so few viewers??
in India we have gurukul system where education is not sold but presented to new generation as a gift. it won't buy you iphone but will lead you to a dignified life.
Governments don't want people to be self sufficient and financially independent. They want people to be in debt and have to work hard all of their lives within the system paying taxes and paying interests on debts. This is how the world works but you're right, debt for education is a big mistake and I taught my daughters this, one of whom chose not to get in debt for her education and the other did choose to go into debt using the UK student finance scheme but she's clever as she knew she would move abroad after her studies and therefore not have to pay that debt back to the system. She has already gained permanent residency in another country.
