Lol i just lucked out and found some guy was selling his on BGG for such a great deal. Ive almost bought the original set over the last few years several times and then i keep dithering about what exactly to spend a big chunk of money on, but i finally decided to invest in Mage Knight and getting all the expansions all at once, as i have compared and studied so many games that are basically variations on same theme, but i think this looks like the most interesting. resting is different from healing. Rest = disard a non-wound card and then discard any number of wound in your discard pile, so those wound stay in your deck for the next round, but a heal will remove the wound and return to the wound pile
Thanks for coming up with this video series. I'm using it to teach myself how to play. Can you add timestamps so we can jump to a specific section in case we need a clarification in regard to a specific topic?
Thanks Oren! Time stamps are actually part of the intro in the video. Right after the short intro in the video, there is about 7 seconds where I show the time stamps.. I started putting these in for the Mage Knight series and will continue with this for future videos. Thanks again!
@@ModernTablegamer thx a lot for your hard work. I noticed that it is mentioned in the beginning of the video. Will you also be able to add an option to skip directly to a specific topic, similar to this "How To" guide here ua-cam.com/video/DOtTZfALlGI/v-deo.html
hi im watching your video to decide if i want to buy for the solo experience. two points im not sure if im convinced about. dummy player, prefer games that play exactly the same in solo as in the multiplayer (ie spirit island, Lotr). also you said the solo is about beating your personal record, but surely there is an another objective? beat the enemy which is considering the complexity i would have thought it is not always going to happen?in spirit island i focus on beating the invaders not so much about my personal best which apparently there is a way to work out. thanks for any comments
Just bought mines on black Friday! Your videos are a great help! In the first scenario (the tutorial basically) do you remove the first card in the advance deck during setup?
Hi Negoita, some were from Final Cut that I had for some time or maybe purchased an add on years ago for it and some others I found on Textures4photoshop as mentioned in the end screen
As someone who loves solo board games, I never understood why this game is #1 in solo board gaming (Board game geek). Mind you people on board game geek are hardcore and maybe I'm not. I've tried to tackle this game multiple times. Every time I do, I need to look up the set up rules. Then when actually playing I have to do the same constantly. Then I sit there and realize this game is not fun. Points should be awarded for performing actions and or setting it up without looking in the manual. If you play it often then I assume you look less and less at the manual. But if you pull it off the shelf a few times a year it becomes a chore. This game might be intricate and oozing with decision making but I've played solo games that are a lot more satisfying and fun with less mess. Great video BTW.
Can you tell me what cards must be separated / sorted? All have the same backside.. I don't get what are basic actions, advanced actions, artifacts and whatever. In the manual, there is only one small picture of a card with a chalice... not very helpful at all.
If I will see all the videos for this how to play, will I be able to play Mage Knight Ultimate with all its expansions, or just the base game? Are there extra rules for its expansions?
I’m a noob with these, is there a box or container for this? I mean, setup looks rough and setting up again seems like a pain (i may be wrong). Maybe a box where cards can be put by group?
There are some insert solutions for Mage Knight you may want to look into. Game Nerdz makes a pretty affordable one (as compared to the price of others) www.gamenerdz.com/box-insert-mage-knight-expansions?gclid=Cj0KCQiAtqL-BRC0ARIsAF4K3WFs4jd3jLTC_NiDWJkqFOnfd6Nfr_Q9DU9vlmkwsOqu_pUl8jzZFyEaAtXlEALw_wcB

Thanks so much Paul! You provide such great content. Means a lot!
Thank you so much! So helpful!
So glad! Thanks Austriaal!
resting is different from healing. Rest = disard a non-wound card and then discard any number of wound in your discard pile, so those wound stay in your deck for the next round, but a heal will remove the wound and return to the wound pile
Great video.
Just a tiny correction, when setting the dummy player one should also take its skill tokens.
Thanks so much for the comment and for pointing this out. I'll most likely make a mention of it in my next update video.
YOU ARE AWESOME! ❤❤❤
Best MK videos
Great Game Great Video !!
Thank you!
Thank you for the tutorial it's extremely helpful.
GREAT JOB !
This is fantastic thank you
Great video
Thanks for the videos! Are more coming after the third one? Like maybe for the expansions?
This video was fucking epic! SUPER well done!!
Thank you!

Nice video with good explanation. The only problem is length of all videos. 20 minutes rush through all the rules would be awesome :)
Thanks so much! I am definitely a bit more unabridged on my rules take, but always room to speed things up a bit :)
Just bought mines on black Friday! Your videos are a great help! In the first scenario (the tutorial basically) do you remove the first card in the advance deck during setup?
hi! thanks for the video. May I ask where you got the paper textures in the video? thanks
Hi Negoita, some were from Final Cut that I had for some time or maybe purchased an add on years ago for it and some others I found on Textures4photoshop as mentioned in the end screen
Hello sir, i might be late to ask. I just bought MK Ultimate Edition but i cant find card from #17-20 to remove. Please help.
YES
