Bowers reminds me of Antonio Gates a lot...Super fluid, tremendous hands, uses his body as a shield in traffic, bouncy, shifty
Just wanted to say I love your trivia questions especially the one between Eli Manning and Joe Flacco really made me think and go back in years in my mind. Thank you. I always respect your intelligence whether I agree or disagree with you.
The Big Bolt Brock Bowers has a nice ring to it.
Sadly now you’re facing him 2xs a year 😬
The Bolt Killer has a better ring
Get,him!
They will always find answers . . .
He can block so defenses are going to have to honor 12 personnel as a heavy package and end up with a linebacker on him in 12 personnel passing plays
Yeah, good luck to him in the run game going up against guys like Aiden Hutchinson or Calais Campbell (unless the latter happens to suddenly retire this year...) I love how some of these drooling Bowers fanboys just can't seem to separate the difference between CFB & NFL-level edge rushers...🤔
Oh and ftr ... 12 men on the field will automatically generate a penalty flag! 🤨 Idk where you're getting this bizarro info from, but it's obviously not gonna work....
@@SeanTheDon-vj4kw / I see you don't actually know much about football, you should take this opportunity to learn something: NFL Personnel groupings / The first number represents how many running backs are in the game, and the second number represents the tight ends in the game. For example, 12 personnel means there is 1 running back and 2 tight ends in the game. 11 personnel means there is 1 running back and 1 tight end in the offensive formation.
@@Andrew_M_Ward Okay, for a minute there I thought you were referring to the "12 men on the field" rule in the NFL! 🤭 My bad....
No worries: This classification system is used primarily by defenses even tho it is used to define the offense
Offenses call plays (not personnel groups) but the defense responds to the offense based almost entirely on who comes onto the field for the offense
if two tight ends and one running back are in the offensive group coming onto the field the defensive coaches will yell "Twelve" and then the defensive coordinator will respond with his grouping and who he wants to send out there... This is why they stop the game sometimes when the offense has substituted players and trying to quick snap, the refs stop the snap and let the defensive team adjust to "personnel" and get their groupings right
Need him on the Bengals! If he drops gota take him. We can get a right tackle in free agency or 2nd round
Im seeing Dallas Clark
It's funny looking back on this now, considering all the morons who said that the Raiders taking Bowers at 13 was a "bad pick" when they couldn't trade up for a QB and there were none worthy of a 1st round pick left on the board. Those same idiots think they should have traded up for Penix or Nix, even though many called Nix a "Sean Payton ego pick" who was not graded as a first rounder. If Denver hadn't taken him, the Raiders could have probably picked him on round 2. Bowers is a generational talent who is NFL-ready and brings a lot of versatility to our offense. Watch out, because our offense is scoring a lot more than 23/game next year.
Subbed, bell rung.
Versatile & hard working... that's like crack to the Seahawks. Hope they have some self-control this draft. Trenches first.
TE, WR, RB, OG, 4 postions in one player.
I'm not sure what the argument is against here. He did all 4 at UGA. Only player i know of in my brief 50 years to do that.
Hurt half his junior year cause hell.....you work 4 jobs? It'll get to you too. Go Brock--and go Dawgs.
Your financial benefit argument doesn't add up. If you can get the best TE in football that makes less than the average WR in football, that is a financial win.
I bet Bill belichick is salivating
DAMN, I didn't even know the Pats hired him as their new GM!! 😲 Well in that case, then yeah ... I could DEFINITELY now see Bowers in a Patriots uniform! 🏈
@@SeanTheDon-vj4kwthey didn’t hire him as GM
@@Postingam2 Then why does his Google Search profile say "General Manager of the New England Patriots?" 🤨
@@SeanTheDon-vj4kwhe was the GM and head coach. Belicheck is currently unemployed
My god you're stupid 😂@SeanTheDon-vj4kw
Bowers can block his ass off
I think if he was 6'6" or 6'7", teams would clamoring to draft him in top 10, at 6'3", he's a wide receiver. I wanted Gronk on Julian Edelman's podcast, he said he had an understanding with Brady, no matter what play was called, they would throw it out if defensive back was playing him off 7-10 yard, Brady would audible, throw it up high where only Gronk could get it because no DB could go up that high, especially playing off that far, it was easy pitch and catch 5-10 yards. At 6'3", a DB could make a play on the ball theoretically.
If he was 6'6 he would be top 3
Bowers doesn't play like Gronk...Diff styles...Bowers is faster, more fluid, gets in and out of breaks quicker....Bowers reminds me of Antonio Gates

This is what I mean. He's an undersized TE and a slow WR. Where is he going to shine? The NFL is full of supreme talent that will match all of that.
@Mercenarymn laporta is also an undersized 6'3 tight end who ran a 4.6 40 yd dash, so you tell me
Rams please
When Louis Riddick said he can make contested catches smh. His tape this past year in all but maybe one contested catch situation he didn’t come down with the ball. The weight he played at this past year needs to come back down to what he played in 2022. He was more explosive and agile in 2022 than in 2023.
Ankle injury
He had Lins fracture surgery on his ankle and still by some miracle made it back on to the field in 4 weeks. That's why his explosiveness wasn't quite the same as past seasons.
My Titans will be foolish not to take him at 7 if he’s there
Your Titans WOULD be foolish to take him @ 7, judging by the glaring holes you guys have @ both OL & DL! Then again, he already stated that he wants to play for you guys, so make him happy... ☺️
Dallas Clark with quicker feet
Great comp. hope he ends up in that colts offense too
Balding, undersized. His comp is my uncle Sal
Undersized? 🤣
Now that's funny af. He runs like a lunk too and for some reason I'm 100% good with that. Beast TE.
😂
@@lionelreyna YES, he said undersized (at least for a top 10 rated 1st-round TE prospect he is!) And don't even try to compare him to Kittle or LaPorta like other fanboy apologists have been doing lately, because NEITHER one of them was a 1st round draft pick!
Shit take
Wait Wait! Oh Now everyone is saying these teams need to draft a tightend high But when Kyle Pitts was coming out these same people were killing the decision of drafting a tightend that high????? 😂😂😂😂😂
Brock isn’t just a tight end though which is what they are saying he’s a weapon you can put out wide in the back field and can also block like no other. I mean you can even put him in the slot and kill defenses
@@felipehernandez-rodriguez9723they said the same about pitts, plus more
Yeah for some reason, Bowers is somehow skilled in the ways of the Jedi, unlike Pitts...😏
LMFAO!
Pitts has proven that we was not worth the #4 overall...
Shannon sharpe 2.0
Brock Bowers Blocking 😂😂😂😂😂
He’s a really effective blocker
NO, there THINKING GIVE ME JJ MCCARTHY
"I'm 247lbs, but I'm not running or doing any drills here, ok?" gives me Bryce Youngs "204lbs" vibes.
Man, if you're undersized just own it, nobody is going to draft a 1st round TE to block in the Year of Our Lord 2024 anyway.
He’s doing the drills next week on his Pro Day
@@felipehernandez-rodriguez9723
Yes, once he drops the 15 pounds of water he chugged to weigh in at 247 so he doesn't look bad in drills moving while carrying all that extra fake weight around.
Nothing wrong with it, that's the "game". Just think it's a dumb game that college kids are forced to play every year.
@@user-hs5vb6kc9ohe has a hamstring injury and still rehabbing from ankle surgery, nice try tho
@@Postingam2
More reason not to run drills with extra fake weight.
@@Postingam2 So is that his new excuse for not working out during his Pro Day?? 😂 He'll be lucky to get drafted in the 2nd round if he keeps dodging his pre-draft workouts! (he already skipped the Combine drills, AND on top of that, he didn't even participate in the Senior Bowl...🤔 Hmmm, if I were 32 teams' GMs, I'd be reconsidering this pick in the 1st round...)
I think he’s gonna drop to pick 28
I really don't see it. He's a glorified fullback with receiving ability.
They said that about laporta too
You have no idea what you're talking about. This dude is arguably the college TE of all time.Great hands, 4.45 speed, runs over defenders every game, hardest worker on his team.
He looks like an uncle 😂
He looks like a cheddar bob 😂
thats why Riddick cant get a job as aGM. Brock cant block for shit. he doesnt have elite speed as he runs a 4.55 many TE ran below 4.5 and amounted to nothing. he didnt participate in combine because he couldnt bench enough and claimed he felt a slight pull in his chest. Truth is he has never had a good bench press number, which would drop him in the draft. All anyone should remember is Kyle Pitts was supposed to be the super gifted athlete and he has yet to blossom. And Pitts is a match up nightmare since he is 6'6 with long arms, where as Bowers honestly looks like he is 6'2 on his tape. look at him stand next to McConkey he only a little taller than him.
LOL, looks/sounds like SOMEBODY actually knows wth they are talking about here! 👍👏 Oh but don't you DARE try to shove FACTS & actual logic in the faces of these Brock Bowers ball-sniffing fanboys, since their highlight hero can do no wrong, and will DOMINATE the NFL beyond extreme levels of insanity thanks to his game tape @ Georgia...🙄
Totally agree with you regarding Bowers I’ve seen him many times and I’m not convinced at all by him. As for Pitts I still believe he will be a top TE in the NFL he has struggled because he didn’t have a top QB to get him the ball but with Cousins (not top tier I know) he can throw the ball just look at Justin Jefferson’s numbers at the Vikings
4.5 is elite for a TE.
He's overrated smh
He’s literally might be the best player in the draft, even ahead of MHJ.
He's going to be a bust
A what?
@@Postingam2 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣bust
"great accomplished blocker like Kittle was out if Iowa, no"
Bruhhh, IOWA🤣🤣 Bowers had put down D1 SEC players like paperweights. Their COLLEGE comparison isn't even close in comparison when it comes to blocking
Titans
