I noticed they hyped up his skills but never showed it on video. So this is just propaganda for a dude with marginal skill that's surrounded by top-tier talent.

Raider Nation got the steal of the 1st round baby! I am so happy living in Las Vegas to get to see what Brock Bowers can do he is an absolute beast. Now AOC or Minshew will have two good TE's plus Adams. Bowers is 6'3 240 lb and can run a 4.5 plus has a 40" vertical. He is a more athletic Gronk. Meyers could be the blocking TE and Bowers can be a pass catching TE and develop-tack on 20 lbs of muscle and also block because he can do that as well. The Raiders are solidifying the O line. The QB's best friend is a TE and he is on Mel Keiper's top 10 boar at #7. That is the positive of teams reaching for quarterbacks. Bo Nix was in the 30's in Keiper's big Board so we got a steal. I am happy the Raiders did not trade the farm for a QB.

Sigh, casuals watched Kelce in the SuperBowl and have a dramatic over reaction as to what the positional value of tight ends is. Look, he'll have a decent career and help teams win but those teams will rely more on chunk plays from their WR's . The Chiefs are 100 percent an outlier. Plus dude is undersized and could be a liability as a blocker.

As a Georgia fan, I can tell you honestly. This dude is different. He is humble and hungry with unreal amount of talent. He isn’t scared to get hit, breaks DBs ankles, can catch anything thrown within 10 yards of him, and will run over everybody. I’m calling it now. He will go down as the best tight end that ever played football.

That's a stretch. He was pretty much schemed out of the SEC Championship game. All he did was run roughshod on shitty teams like Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Florida. Not saying he cant be good but the NFL is different than the SEC East.

The "dont take a tight end in the top 10" applies when you don't have a QB. Pitts had 1000 yards as a rookie with Matt Ryan. THe Chargers have a QB and Bowers would excel.

This guy is the best Tight end that I have ever seen in College. I hope he goes somewhere where they have a good/great QB and the NFL is filling up with them with the rise of the young QBs... I am not a fan of Herbert as a competitor, excellent tools guy, I would love to see him with Burrow in Cincinnati or Jacksonville with Lawrence....

Only way Chargers should not get Bowers.. is if Harrison falls. Other than that, Chargers cannottttt mess this up! If someone else gets both Harrison and Bowers then that sucks but I would say we trade back and stack up on players (or get Nabers maybe). Another legit (rd 4) TE is Dallin Holker, but is basically a receiving only TE. But if things go well… Chargers gotta get Bowers!

Jets have their OL settled. Bowers and Conklin in 12 personnel would be deadly with Rodgers/Breece Hall/Garret Wilson/Mike Williams in an all-in year. They can stockpile OL depth later in the draft and FA.

One argument against him on the chargers is that a great TE gets 900 yds and 10 TDs in a season. A great WR gets 1000+ yds and 13+ TDs. It's more overall production. And the Chargers could use more production at WR
He's used like a WR. He plays all over the field.. He's basically a big WR.. UA-cam is your friend.
You get blocking production though too for the first/second level of runs
Yeah, but you can get 1000 and 13 TDs out of another receiver MUCH easier than you can get 900 and 10 TDs from a TE. Therefore, overall production would be higher with Bowers.
While at Georgia he caught anything thrown near him, and punished tacklers after the catch. He pancaked defensive linemen when blocking. He is a true team player, no ego. He is a huge reason UGA won 2 Natties. Could have been 3 if he hadn't sprained his ankle.

Guy is from my neck of the woods. I feel so sorry for him, landing with the Raiders. What a disaster for him. I wish he had gone to the Rams; he would have had a good coach, GM and culture. Now, he's going into a black hole, with an incompetent coach, GM and toxic locker room. He's a genuinely good kid. He deserves better than the Raiders. I wish him luck in a few years on his second team.

As you can see all disappointments really other than Vernon Davis. Some solid starters there too. Top 10 pick for a TE is crazy! Upside is high but a HARD NO. Forge an identity, O’line or interior D’line. Become a bully.

Yeah TJ Hockenson, Vernon Davis were bad picks. SMH...You can do this for any position by the way and you would have the same number of busts %wise. That said, Looks like someone doesn't watch film. Very casual approach. None of those guys had the college career this guy has. He's the best college TE of all time and plays all over the field. Slot, outside and inline. none of those guys listed could do that. 2x Mackey award winner. only one in history.

Kiper likes him thats reason enough to stay away. but seriously he will ne a bust. He isnt a TE he is an H-Back. he downt have NFL TE size nor does he have elite speed. All his hightlights are off the line. No NFL offense is going to use him that way. Many of the thing were said about Kyle Pitts and he is 6'6 with long arms. looking at the tapes Bowers doesnt look anywhere near 6'4 as he looks barely taller than Ladd McConkey.
