In middle school, anything inherent about you that makes you stand out makes you a target of harrassment. But if you become a content creator, those unique qualities suddenly become assets.
I'm glad that Korone seems to be doing even better these days, so hopefully the memories of being bullied for her voice have faded far away from her mind.
There's a lot about Korone that makes her special, voice included. Kids tease everyone that's not like them and that's something we've gotta get all the kids to unlearn. They don't realize how impactful that is to someone's self esteem. But I think we all enjoy her voice 😁 it reinforces as a learner of Japanese that there are dialects, and it helps diversify how you learn the language, too.
