JM, here is a travel hack when you use foreign ATMs always choose "without conversion". I saw on your video that you selected "with conversion" this means that you are allowing the foreign bank to convert your money from pesos to AUD instead of your local Philippine bank to do the conversion. These foreign banks charge a high markup for this foreign exchange to make money from tourists who don't know the difference. For example, when you tried to use the ATM their markup was 10.49% (23:51)which is a very high transaction fee. If you choose "without conversion" your local bank usually charges a 2-4% transaction fee sometimes even free depending on your debit or credit card.

Hello JM! I think one reason your cards weren't working is that you were trying to withdraw funds that were above the limit per transaction. The limit varies from bank to bank, but most impose a maximum limit of 10k-20k per transaction. Hope this helps!
