I always get excited when I see a new Laura Legge video in my feed! I’m a celiac mom of 3 (ages 9, 11, and 13). I love your budget meals and now I work full time so easy GF are the recipes I make the most.
Love these! My obsession lately has been sliced banana, with warm peanut butter drizzled over them then melt some chocolate chips with coconut oil and drizzle that. Freeze for 10+ mins depends how cold/frozen you like and enjoy. Soon yummy!!!
I love the dressing ideas. I can't do so many premade sauces and dressings because there is always something slipped in that isn't necessary, but makes it last longer on a shelf. Your voice is calming and a joy to listen to while I do dishes and make dinner. I am looking for inexpensive and from scratch.
I grew up on pb & honey sandwiches for my school lunches. My mom would make them the night before and put them in the fridge. The honey would crystallize in the bread and I loved that lol Also adding the banana is perfection! The morning of my wedding day I had my favorite breakfast, waffles with PB & honey 😋 It’s the simple things!
I appreciate you keeping things simple yet delicious. I tend to eat low carb. So one of my favorite breakfasts, (honestly anytime) is a keto tortillas or low carb tortilla (I find them at Aldi and Wal-Mart) I spread some PB, mini chocolate chips (sometimes), walnuts, and a light drizzle of honey with a dash of cinnamon, along with my coffee and I'm set for a while😊💐
I’ll have my yogurt in the morning for my breakfast with chia seeds and blueberries with my eggs. If I’m short on time I’ll have my turkey slices, cheese, and a mini bagel with my yogurt. Your salad looks good. It would be a great addition to my lunch ideas. I can mix it up in advance and dish out into my mason jars.
I just made and ate the meatless meatloaf/veggie slice. First off, it smells amazing in the oven. I did mine in a load pan, so the first piece was tricky to remove. It is so good. My husband does say I like everything, but that is not true. It's delicious! Keep doing what you do🙌
@@hadassahl.cunningham2007 that sounds delicious! I’ve never tried that and I’m excited to give it a go! Thank you for the suggestion! I can’t wait to hear what you think of the bean salad!
@@LauraLeggeI’m so sorry I took so long to report back. I’ve tried two of these so far and they are sooo good! I made the three bean salad last week for lunches and we loved it. I didn’t have all the ingredients for the dressing so I used zesty Italian dressing and it was good. There was enough to put in my husband’s bucket all week and I had it for lunch several days. Two days I mixed the beans and a half can of tuna into spinach and topped with the feta to make a salad out of it. A third day I omitted the tuna because I was out lol. Other days I just had the beans as a side with a PB sandwich. We had the bell pepper grilled cheese today and I can’t believe how amazing that was. I never would have thought of that combination. I just wish I had some tomato soup lol. Maybe next time. 😊
@@60kkm yay! Thank you so much for coming back to let me know how everything turned out! I love that you added tuna to the bean salad! I’ll have to try that next time! And yes! The grilled cheese is so good with tomato soup!
@@LauraLegge that bean salad will be going into regular rotation for lunches lol. I have to make something like that every week like pasta salad, coleslaw, ect. This bean salad was so easy and different and so delicious.
@@60kkm I am so glad to hear that! It truly was one of the easiest meal prep dishes I’d ever made and I was super excited to share it! My husband mentioned that it would also be great with some sort of meat added - he suggested maybe ham and I was thinking maybe rotisserie chicken. I think it’s a really great dish to modify to taste.
Terrific video Thank you ! My favorite breakfast is 1 c Low fat Cottage Cheese, 1 Tablespoon Black Bean and Corn Salsa, 1/2 Banana, 1/2 or whole Avocado and 1 teaspoon of Peanut Butter. Yummm lots of protein, vitamins and minerals ❤ Cottage Cheese as an inexpensive protein
Something in this video I saw a Kirkland product. Just curious as to how much you get at Aldi vs Costo and which is priced better. I live in Manhattan Costo, Aldi and local markets are my only choices. No Walmart and a very limited and long walk to Dollar tree. Thank you
@@MsEllen918 I get the majority of our food at ALDI and we do a Costco run once every few months mainly for paper products but I’ll also get eggs, milk, and a few snacks and produce if I’m there. Most things are cheaper at ALDI for me vs Costco.
I’d need a side or two with all of these, otherwise it wouldn’t be enough calories/food to get me thru a work day. But for meal starters, yes! Esp anything with feta. ❤😊
The zucchini stem is edible. You can cut a zucchini lengthwise into quarter inch strips. Put olive oil on them, salt and pepper, then roast on a tray. Yummy.
I'm curious if your husband eats the same meals as you. Mine will eat almost anything I make but he eats a large quantity. I find your amount satisfying but how content is your husband with these meals. Thanks.
@@cherylynn927 he eats slightly larger portions than me sometimes but in this case, he ate the same portions as I did. I don’t always finish my plate actually and it ends up being lunch or snack for later haha

If you don't have much money, get full-fat everything because it just has more calories and will keep you alive longer. If it's about survival.
Groceries seem to be cheaper where you live 😮
@@shannamcneill8468 Assuming it's the same price.
I do this with milk and buy whole milk. I add water to it when I serve it. A quarter cup of water to a cup of milk.
Cottage cheese bowls of any type are nice not only on a waffle, but goes nicely topped on a piece of toasted muti-grain bread, too.
